There are tons of fake ones I don't believe in, like the shape-shifting reptilians, aliens/UFOs/Area51, flat earth etc.

There are, roughly, three kinds of people wrt so-called conspiracies:

1) Inveterate normies who, even when presented with vary basic facts and evidence will dismiss the whole thing as "conspiracy theory", mostly due to the kind of cognitive dissonance that those truth bombs bring.

2) people who are skeptical and understand that the PTBs aren't that benevolent, and that the mainstream propaganda is shock full of lies, but have no discernment or scientific background. These people will buy the kookiest theories, like flat earthers and shape-shifting reptilians.

3) those who understand that the establishment is more pervasive, more organized and more malevolent than portrayed, and have a good filter and the willingness and ability to do the research and separate the baby from the bathwater.

I guess you belong in the first category. You're presented with a simple fact, that Jose Perdomo, the doorman of the Dakota Building who was at the center of Lennon crime scene, was a high-ranking professional CIA assassin (fact), and you still dismiss it?

Actually, I'm in a 4th category. I don't look at the actual facts of every theory because I've got better things to do with my time.

Instead I simple do a forum search and see if 911 is a believer in the conspiracy theory. If he is, then I dismiss the theory.

I have no intention to be insulting or passive aggressive.

I didn't write what I wrote as a joke or a personal insult. I wrote it because it's true. When I read a post of yours, I immediately categorize the ideas within it into the "unlikely to be correct" file in my mind for the simple fact that you seem to believe every conspiracy theory in existence and anyone reasonable person who really believed everything that you say you believe wouldn't be posting about it on the Internet. That person wouldn't have Internet access on their computer or phone.

Once I start seeing posts from you that contain actionable intel, instead of claims that will neither be proven nor disproven anytime soon, I'll start to take your opinions more seriously.

The fact remains that it makes no logical sense for people who, apparently have gifted mental abilities that separate them from the 99% of people who are gullible sheep, not to be dropping datasheets entitled, "How I turned $100 into $1,000,000 in just two years."

Siding with Suits here. These paranoid conspiracy posts in nearly every thread, on really any topic, effectively kill the conversation in that thread. Feels and looks like a coordinated effort(my own theory). Comment spam, thread closed, works every time. This is a widely used tactic to shut down comments discussion, if the conversation turns in the direction someone doesnt want it to go. It looks like non-sense, and its designed to effectively kill the momentum of a comments string, or in this case, a thread. So anyways...

Pumpkins rock, they doing a reunion tour next year, excited to see some RVF brothers there.

You could fill up a whole thread with celebrities who buy into conspiracy theories. (Another good example from rock would be Dave Mustaine of Megadeth). The reason for this is that creativity is strongly correlated with mental illness, and exacerbated by drug use. It would be wrong to think that they somehow have some greater sage-like insights than joe sixpack. They don't. That won't stop them from using the media as their bully pulpit.

Did you even read my post above bro? You've asked, and I replied:

You're being completely disingenuous here, much like how you've said in the paragraph above that you didn't mean to insult me while insinuating that someone who believes what I've wrote should be locked up... Passive aggressive much?

Quote:Once I start seeing posts from you that contain actionable intel, instead of claims that will neither be proven nor disproven anytime soon, I'll start to take your opinions more seriously.

Once again, patently false. Take the example above of Lennon's assassination. I've given you the key fact that his doorman Jose Perdomo, who was at the vortex of the crime scene, turned out to be a high level CIA assassin (information about Perdomo's true identity had been concealed for years after Lennon's murder). That's "actionable intel", and you've dismissed it altogether, falling back to labels like "conspiracy theory!", which amounts to little more than a normie NLP killshot.

You said you dismiss absolutely anything I post as BS, basing your opinion on the messenger, as opposed to a rational evaluation of the content provided. The fact is, the great majority of theses I post here are stated with solid support. Posters who've repped me, and many other quality members on here, agree.

You're forming your opinion on a visceral, reflexive level rather than a rational one, whereas I approach my subjects with rational rigor and intellectual curiosity. This approach often takes you to conclusions that might be challenging to process for some, though many on here are up to the challenge, this being a high quality board.

Well since the thread is already derailed, here's a real fuckwit. Remember Blink 182?

Smashing Pumpkins (minus D'Arcy) are having a reunion tour during summer of this year:

Quote:"This summer, the Smashing Pumpkins will embark on a reunion tour. In the tour announcement, the band promised a setlist comprising material “exclusively” from their first five albums (Gish to Machina)."

https://pitchfork.com/news/billy-corgan-...nion-tour/

Set list at the link looks pretty dope--mostly their old hits as well as some B-sides and movie soundtrack songs that true Pumpkinheads will know.

Now's as good a time as any to stick in my favorite live performance of them:

I heard (and always believed) that Kurt wrote Courtney's earlier stuff like Live Through This and Billy wrote Celebrity Skin. And yeah I've wondered that as well, why talented dudes would wife/shack up an utter skank (I believe she admits to having worked as a prostitute). Ditto John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Iunno, maybe creative geniuses feel completely alone unless they're with a woman with at least a modicum of artistic talent.

Smashing Pumpkins Reunion tour starts 7/12/2018 in Phx, AZ. I will be in attendance. Any fans who want to make it out let me know. It's supposed to be music from the first 5 albums only.

Also, Corgan wrote the song X.Y.U. referencing Courtney Love. It is however still one of my favorite songs, great for ex's.

Coming of age in the Chicago area the influence of the Smashing Pumpkins was undeniable. The group definitely put out some timeless classics.

They can't bring themselves to date basic bitches, only artsy chicks who "get them." Lennon could have nailed/married any woman on the planet in the late '60s, but he wanted Yoko because of her artistic side (and maybe he had a thing for the sashimi).
