Things To Do As 18yo(or before) That Will Skyrocket Your Success

No bullshit guide how to start as a teenager

Intro

I will sum up a list of things that I implemented and experienced in my late teens, still in the school that led to shaping my life exactly in the way that I want my life to be. If you are lucky enough to get into this and similar streams of information young enough you will have a head start, enjoy.

This will probably not be in exactly sorted by it’s importance but I will do my best.

Plan and do it a lot

Of course, every plan will end up looking a bit different but you should have a vision and I am not talking about “Oo I want to be a fireman when I grow up.” I am talking about exact things that you want to do, experience and achieve at certain timeframe. This is probably my German blood talking but it did me a lot of favours.

Have exact plan what you will do when you get out of school. 1 year plan, 2 year plan, 10 year plan, 20 year plan, 30 year plan.

I knew that as soon as I get out of school I want to travel, travel a lot and I do. I don’t have as easy access to the same hourly pay as many of you from the West got but everything is doable. I selected SEA for my first trip, knew that I want to live in Thailand for shorter period (2 months), in some other country there and visit some countries around if I will have some money left. Eventually I selected Cambodia for another month and travelled through Vietnam and Laos.

I knew that I want live location independent life, that I want to choose my own hours, I don’t want to have to hide my opinions for the rest of my life, I never want to work for Czech Crowns and I made it, it’s not 1800 for better or worse, take the good from it.

I knew that I want to make some hardcore travel, few months before I planned to go for backpacking/hitchhiking trip through 13 preselected countries I thought that I will not get enough money and I was convinced that I will do it even if I had to convince strangers to let me sleep at their place, ask for leftover food from closing restaurants and so on. Eventually I made enough money that I haven't had a problem to do anything I wanted on that trip but I was determined to do it either way.

I picked all those goals sitting at school at age of 17, executed at age of 19-20. (You finish school here at 19.)

I know what I will do in next year and two, where I see myself in a decade and the other one. If I will not die in a process, I will do it. That’s the mindset you should have.

Passage from a boy to a man

From a young age I knew that this is a big one, the biggest one for a young man, I saw so many kids around me and most of them had a body of 40yo man, it is a disgrace to mine and your people.

Back in the times when the world made some sense the young boys of my tribe had to go hunt an Auroch (or urus - the same name for germanic rune of challenge). To prove that they are a man now. You will not become a man just like that, you will have to endure hardship, touch death and if you will avoid your journey, you will be just a little cunt forever, no matter the receding hairline.

There is nothing in our society that provides young males with such a challenge so you must get it yourself, less danger around, less wars, that created a lot of spineless pussies, don’t end up like one or at least die in a process of overcoming being one.

I deliberatery searched for experiences that will put myself in a test, the only test that matters and nobody can take the results from you anymore. Discomfort, independence, danger, spitting death in the face all that is what being a man means.
I guess I will make a separate article about this and elaborate in detail and depth later.

Career

Always wanted to be engineer, doctor or lawyer? Good, otherwise fuck school. It’s full of bullshit and will just drain the living soul from you. If you want to be blue collar and learn a craft do it, why not but don’t sit in school half of your active life listening to some bullshiting from an old cunt with dry eggs.

There are many ways how to make money now. I am not an IT buy by any mean and still I make money online.

For my first trip I spent about 4 months in a little village in England working on a farm, ate just plain food, did not have sex, at the peak spent 14-16 hours working, six or seven days a week, while listening to self-improvement audiobooks, meditation in the morning before going to work and after I came back I made myself some food and looked up info about locations that I want to travel to and planned. It was like deliberate stay in prison while making money and I decided to make the most of the dead time.

Now tell me some bullshit story how you want to do something but you just can't.

Friends and People

Choose who you hang out with carefully, don’t let it be just your classmates or that pothead fuck that lives next door. Be quick to cut them off if you don’t see any potential, you don’t need to be rude or arrogant but just don’t invest your time in them anymore. Find somebody with purpose and potential, most of your friend will be probably older than you eventually some of them even the age of your father but who cares? Your classmates do? Fuck them! They are just rotting bags of meat anyways.

Besides purpose and potential be with people that you can rely on and be a person that they can rely on too. If they are just good for fun, they are good for nothing. Get together with your local RVF guys, maybe your PUA community (most of them will be SWJ’s looking like they got Down Syndrome though), guys from the gym, fights or the volunteer fireman crew, talk to random people on your travels etc.

I know that I can trust just 2 men, meaning with my life. Others either did not prove themselves or disappointed on the way. Do you have somebody that will kill for you and die for you? Do you have somebody that you will do the same for? Who will you call if you were robbed abroad, got no money, missed your flight home and don’t know what to do? I knew who to call and he saved my ass. If you got an Antifa coming for your ass, who will sleep at your house in case some purple hair punk decides to throw a Molotov Cocktails into your windows? (Did not happen yet)

Body

Hit the gym, run, fight. If not all three do something and start now, you will have to be with your body for the rest of your life and the gains that you make now will set a healthy habits and be good in the long run. Skip the fucking chemical shit that fat cunts call food. Do yourself a favour.

Mind

Of the same importance as the body. Practice stoicism, meditate just get your shit together.

Be Patient and Minimalistic

You don’t need most of the materialistic stuff that you want, you don’t need a full and diverse wardrobe or that car. Wait, you will have it all after that if you will still want to.
Accept hardship and discomfort, you will not have it all from the start, don’t expect anything to work out but just do it. Live in your fucking parent’s basement if you need to before you start to make a decent bank, don’t spend your money on shit you don’t need.

Kill Social Media and Entertainment

Deleted my Facebook at age of 17, never had regrets, now I make money on that shit. Never signed up for Instagram. If I want to talk with somebody, use your phone or bambillion free apps on it that everyone uses, if you want to fuck do the same. Fuck virtual gratification, Gods don’t need that. Entertainment is for slaves, fuck movies, fuck music, fuck that all. Consume art when you earned the right.

Girls

A lot of material about that. I guess that advice would be different from each country. In some you probably can’t go clubbing at this age so do it differently, you got shitload of material on this forum. If you haven’t had hearthbreak yet, I recommed to try it as soon as possible. If you are stuck at one town and sit in school find yourself a girlfriend, study closely how those bitches work and what ticks them you will have time to fuck around after you will be free (Just don’t get stuck with her, whatever you think, she is just the same as millions of them).

I have been able to game early so I spend 17-19 one to three nights a week in the clubs doing pick-up stuff, if you can’t do it differently.

Closure

I could say that I spent my last few years in school just productively but it would be a lie, I have always had done more, but 98% of people do way less. Take from this what you want, at the best case practise everything.

Speaking as a 17 year old who has derived tremendous value from this forum, the exercise advice is 100% on point. Any other teen guys reading this: Get your ass in the gym and LIFT. I've only been lifting for six months and in that timespan alone my confidence has skyrocketed and people (especially girls) have definitely started acting different towards me. I went from being your typical skinnyfat dude invisible to girls to getting IOI's in class, making girls nervous when I talk to them, having girls touch my shoulders and back, etc. I'd recommend focusing on building your posterior chain and shoulders, as it wasn't until I developed a strong upright posture, broad shoulders, and big traps that I started to experience these things.

One point of disagreement though: While I'm very grateful for this datasheet, speaking from my personal experience deleting social media (advice that is commonly given in this part of the Internet) is definitely NOT a sound idea for a modern teenage guy, at least if he cares about getting bitches. Whatever the issues with social media (and there are many, which have already been discussed at length), the fact is that any teenage guy who doesn't have IG or Snap is willingly depriving themselves of tons of sexual opportunities and lowering (justifiably or not) their social status, particularly in the eyes pf girls. One thing I've noticed in common among omegas of my generation is that they typically have little to no social media presence. Fact is, anybody who's anybody is on the gram and hoes be addicted to that shit, so any young guy who isn't is just putting himself at a social disadvantage, especially when it comes to girls.

My advice to anyone of any age.. is start stripping away your social conditioning that has been implanted into most of us at a very young age.

Why do we wear clothes all the time? Do we need them to stay warm?

Great start.

I think the part I would agree with the most is...get a job while you are in high school, very part time if possible. Getting a job exposes you real people besides your high school classmates and teachers. You begin to un-learn your conditioning and see that a lot of stereotypes are true. You meet people who are clever, with little education and you meet total losers with no motivation that are exactly what you don't want to be.

Lifting weights it also great advice, I started too late in high school but it was still like magic, when you are a teenager your body is producing naturally the kind of performance enhancing chemicals that athletes pay for, put them to good use. Even training just twice a week will show results if you are young.

looking for a new signature.

There's a mentality : I want xxx fast! (xxx- muscular, hot women, get rich, etc)

The younger you are, the easier is to get rid of short term outcome dependent mentality. Everything needs you to follow a process and takes time.

General time-frame to see results of any goal - 6 months to 2 years.

Please have long term goals and get rid of outcome oriented mentality as soon as you can, youngsters.

I would add a couple things to this list:

Learn a second or even a third language. It will impress employers and make it easier for you to travel the world.

Learn to play a musical instrument. It will enhance your creativity and give you something you love for the rest of your love. It may help you get laid.

You are right, it has two effects. Personally I know that if I posted a lot on Facebook and Instagram I would have incredible increase of social status, travelled like 16 new countries this year and so on. But I don't want any fake dopamine shots in my brain and I don't care for their opinions less and less.

Oh fuck, how could I just forgot this one.

Quit Porn!

Without a question, another fake instant gratification. Might fuck you up if you got too far anyway, just read about it and make steps to quit.

RE: Things To Do As 18yo(or before) That Will Skyrocket Your Success
Personally I'd advise most young guys of 17/18 to study hard when they have to study, and if they are given to it, and then mainly to enjoy those last few carefree months for all they are worth. There's time enough for being an adult, and these last few months of freedom from responsibility should be enjoyed for what they are, and then put away as the end of childhood.

Of course lifting and making friends are excellent things that one should be doing where possible, but the idea that one can do very much planning for where one wants to be in 5-10 years at that point is nonsense. Of course, you might want to be rich, or running your own company, or travelling the world on business, but these ideas don't take much planning, nor can they be meaningfully expanded upon in any useful detail by those in their last years of childhood who don't yet have any experience of the next phase in their lives. One can have an idea about a general course, and take immediate steps to realise long term goals, but the idea that anyone, however talented, can plan at 18 for where they'll be at 30 is absurd, and a waste of precious time. Time spent meditating and planning for the unknowable could be better spent.

Uniform, how old are you yourself?

What OP seems to be missing, is that this is generalised advice not actionable for most kids of that age. Why?

- If they are young and want to get somewhere, they have such a strong desire that will block out any advice (good and bad) you give them. Self-reflection is hard when you're that age, especially with a lack of life experience.
- They lack life experience to interpret any advice in a meaningful way. I strongly believe that sometimes it's better not to give any advice at all, since young men will take it too far or completely take it out of context. My biggest mistake cost me literally 5 years of my life and 40K+, and it was based off the advice of a mentor. This is a pattern I see again and again: life experience and context is needed to assign meaning to any advice.
- They have the energy to do everything at once, and are absolutely not aware of opportunity cost. The few young guys I hang out with lead hyperturbo life, just like I did when I was 18. Unfortunately this is a horrible strategy in terms of optimising results.

Anyway, here's some advice to my 14 year old self. All in hindsight ofcourse:
- You want to go somewhere? Good, but 99% of all other people don't. Make your own life choices and split chasing that dream with socialising: they are two separate activities. People your age are not on the same wave length as you, so accept this fact.
- If you have one overarching meaningful goal: the younger you are when you start pursuing it, the bigger your edge. Forget everything else and ignore anything else.
- Get an IQ test and objective personality measures to make sure you are a genius with self-doubts instead of a retard with a god-complex. I can't emphasize enough that you should have an objective measure from which you can derive self-confidence at this stage, because the rest of the world won't get you if you want to go your own way. Until you start making money or have your first desired results, you refer back to these objective measures when you start to doubt yourself.
- Don't go to a counsellor before you are 25. Kick yourself in the nuts instead, or have an other friend do it for you. Counsellors and/or therapists make money by diagnosing and then treating you for human flaws that are not relevant for accomplishing your goal. Besides, therapy is not going to work anyway at that age for many reasons. (if you are suicidal, mentally ill or otherwise not functioning, ignore this point.)
- Realise your mental energy will steadily decline after age 23-24. I know you don't believe me and think old people are pussies. That's because you are young, thus not yet old, and haven't experienced how everything starts slowing down. Look up opportunity cost on Wikipedia and apply this to your mind.
- You are young, so you want to do everything and anything. Listen: if you really want to get somewhere, make that your obsession. Everything you do should be to reach that meaningful goal. The other stuff is not important right now. You can bang girls later, you can lift later, you can make friends later. You can never regain the incredible resources in your mind after a certain age.

This response is tailored to a very specific group of young men who have a very ambitious goal that means a lot to them. If you are "normal" and just want to slay pussy or become strong, make that your obsession. The best players I know started young. The best lifters I know started young. There are exceptions, but not many.

But if lifting doesn't mean that much to you, then do it later or minimize the time you spend doing it. Same with girls. I really recommend the all-in approach for these youngsters, as long they have some family they can fall back on if everything fails and they get depressed. (this can happen, but the earlier you start and the smarter you work the less likely it becomes)

I'll politely somewhat disagree with H1N1.

I actually started saving money even with my first job, working at a fast food chain later in high school.

Combine that with more smart and hard work, and I retired in my early thirties.

Not saying everyone can do that, but which would you rather be: a kid still living with his parents with no responsibilities, or an adult free to take on almost any combination of freedom and responsibility he chooses?

RE: Things To Do As 18yo(or before) That Will Skyrocket Your Success
Things I did when I was young that I would recommend to every young man:

- read the classics; devour them -- realize that there is nothing new under the sun
> Theodore Dalrymple has a great quote about keeping an open mind, but not in the sense of a dam that is open. Take the time to consider all major ideas that have survived through the ages, but it's fine to be decisive and think you are right and that you get it. You will change your mind lots from 16 - 30, if you are wise. But that doesn't mean you have to be a wishy-washy cunt in the meantime. You will be surprised how you can screen out fools and energy vampires by just being earnest or taking a stand on things, even if, in hindsight, your knowledge was only partially complete on the subject in question.

Things I wish I did when I was younger
- learned how to dress (fitted, custom clothes of natural materials... wools and heavy cotton for winter, linen and light cotton for summer)
- ate way more leafy greens, as well as reds (beets, tomatoes, raspberries, strawberries), and more healthy fats. Man, from 18-26 I ate so much garbage.
- stretched (yoga and trifecta from Convict Conditioning 2... active stretches before activity, passive after)

Your body and mind will begin breaking down faster than you think. Don't be cocky like a teenage girl, thinking the gravy train will run forever.
