The prospect of Frexit doesn't sit well with me so all I can say is: go Macron.

Join the party. All the worse as I'd bet pretty big on her.

Probably should have seen it coming after those half million double voting cards were 'mistakenly' sent to expats.

Marine Le Pen is talented

It was pretty clear Le Pen probably was not going to get first place, and that Macron would lead by a little bit. Though this is hard to believe after the terrorist attack in Paris.

I don't think that was clear at all. Most of the sources I encountered suggested she would lead by a good margin.

They have barely 42% of the votes counted. The countryside will not be as liberal as the cities which usually come in first.

Also there isn't much of a chance of a Frexit. The support of the EU is at 75% and even if those polls are somewhat doctored, they are too high to make exiting the EU a possibility. Such a referendum must be made when the support is at 55-60%.

Either way - we will see whether the French have voted for the globalist Cuck or at least a chance of return to some sanity.

There were a lot of undecideds. It looks like they were swayed by the media.

That and the spoilers (Dupont-Aignan, Asselineau) took away 6% of the votes from the right.

In that case, Fillon might close the 3 point deficit he has with Macron.

If terrorism, protests, or riots continue to happen in France over the next couple of weeks, then there is a possibility of populism rising by closeted Frexit/Le Pen supporters and undecided voters. Also, I am sure the French MSM will step up its attacks on Le Pen in a very negative light.

Who knows? But it will be interesting to see what will happen over the next couple of weeks.

RE: French Presidential Election Thread
A democratic puzzle is going to happen here.

How many from Fillon are centrist-right?

How many from Melenchon are old school social-democrats more in line with Le Pen than Macron?

Fillion is socially conservative, Macron is socially liberal.

Not sure it is a sure win for Marcon, but demographics might not be enough. We have to keep in mind that 42% voted for anti-EU candidates. A similar setup as in Belgium and pretty much everywhere in Europe. Elite hanging on by a shred, but with huge opposition and an opposition which very much opposed, not just in name. Europe is mostly in a democratic breakdown. The old method of compromise through the middle is not viable.

You're basing your data on Britain and America which are worlds apart from France. Britain is nothing like France and we're literally neighbours and the UK is different to the US in many ways and our cultures and politics overlap significantly.

Demographs are destiny but so are devisive politics and European identity and togetherness. People might not vote Le Pen because she is anti-EU and therefore wants to hurt the group collectiveness.

Britain does not share this and we barely got Brexit.

Whilst I do have a part of me seeing Le Pen as a winner, my other side is telling me the French are the type to go further down a dark alleyway and then start fighting for its life to get out of it.

We're at that stage now. France might be going down a dark alley and the end result will be very bloody and will have massive effects on EU and global unity.

Its the mentality of central Europeans to move as a collective.

If Macron does end up winning then the US must ensure its survival and rid itself of the parasites eating away at it. This is extremely important to ensure the survival of Western civilisation.

So again, real results look a bit different from the projections and LePen is currently leading. It doesn't matter too much since there is a second round but a LePen qualified with highest number of votes could have some impact.

Good insight. It helps an outsider get an idea of France's, Britain's and Europe's mindset.
