Correction--it's twelve now.

Dozen Democrats call for Al Franken's resignation; senator plans announcement Thursday

Quote: Kirsten Gillibrand of New York
Mazie Hirono of Hawaii
Claire McCaskill of Missouri
Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire
Patty Murray of Washington
Kamala Harris of California
Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin
Debbie Stabenow of Michigan
Bob Casey of Pennsylvania
Joe Donnelly of Indiana
Sherrod Brown of Ohio

I am afraid that women appreciate cruelty, downright cruelty, more than anything else. They have wonderfully primitive instincts. We have emancipated them, but they remain slaves looking for their masters all the same. They love being dominated.

RE: The Democratic Party is Imploding
Apparently, a longtime Democratic staffer said he tried to assault her in 2006:

https://www.politico.com/story/2017/12/0...006-281049

Quote:A former Democratic congressional aide said Al Franken tried to forcibly kiss her after a taping of his radio show in 2006, three years before he became a U.S. senator.

The aide, whose name POLITICO is withholding to protect her identity, said Franken (D-Minn.) pursued her after her boss had left the studio. She said she was gathering her belongings to follow her boss out of the room. When she turned around, Franken was in her face.

The former staffer ducked to avoid Franken’s lips. As she hastily left the room, she said, Franken told her: “It’s my right as an entertainer.”

“He was between me and the door and he was coming at me to kiss me. It was very quick and I think my brain had to work really hard to be like ‘Wait, what is happening?’ But I knew whatever was happening was not right and I ducked,” the aide said in an interview. “I was really startled by it and I just sort of booked it towards the door and he said, ‘It’s my right as an entertainer.’”

The former staffer, who was in her mid-20s at the time of the incident, said she did not respond to Franken.

The woman said she had never met Franken prior to the incident. Franken was elected to the Senate in 2008 but began ramping up his political activity in 2006.

Franken, who has been accused by six other women of groping or trying to forcibly kiss them, denied the accusation.

“This allegation is categorically not true and the idea that I would claim this as my right as an entertainer is preposterous. I look forward to fully cooperating with the ongoing ethics committee investigation,” Franken said in a statement to POLITICO.

Two former colleagues of the woman independently corroborated her version of events, including Franken telling her he had the right to try to kiss her because he was “an entertainer.” The first former colleague interviewed by POLITICO said she was told of the incident in 2006, shortly after it happened. The second former co-worker said she was made aware of the encounter sometime in 2009 or 2010.

Hours after this story was published, seven female Democratic senators called on Franken to resign: Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire, Patty Murray of Washington, Kamala Harris of California and Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin. Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) also said Franken should step down.

"While Senator Franken is entitled to have the Ethics Committee conclude its review, I believe it would be better for our country if he sent a clear message that any kind of mistreatment of women in our society isn’t acceptable by stepping aside to let someone else serve," Gillibrand said in a Facebook post. She was referring to a Senate Ethics Committee investigation of the sexual harassment claims against Franken.

Franken is one of several lawmakers and candidates facing sexual harassment allegations, amid a national outcry over misconduct that has roiled Hollywood, media and politics. On Tuesday, Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) resigned after multiple former female aides accused him of harassing them.

Conyers, the longest-serving member of the House, faced a drumbeat of demands from top Democrats to step down. No Senate Democrats have called on Franken to resign, though a smattering of House Democrats have done so.

The former congressional aide, a longtime Democrat, said she is not attempting to force Franken out of office by coming forward now. Her aim is to encourage the former comedian to acknowledge that his behavior towards her and other women was intentional.

“His resignation is not the top of the list there. That’s not my point. It’s not up to me what he does,” the former staffer said.

Franken has said he was “ashamed” about the prior reported incidents but has also said through a spokesperson that he “never intentionally engaged in that kind of conduct.”

The former staffer said a more direct statement of culpability – not just differing recollections of events, as Franken has offered in apologizing to other women – could help shift the national conversation about sexual assault and push harassers to take ownership of their behavior.

“I don’t want to be in the position of deciding whether to tell this story but I’m not the person who put me in that position. He did that,” the woman said. “I think for this moment in time to lead to meaningful change there has to be more than ‘I’m ashamed but I remember things differently’ accounting.”

The former staffer said she mostly kept the encounter to herself, not even telling her boss at the time. But she started to talk more openly about it to close friends after the “Access Hollywood” video was aired in October 2016. In the now infamous tape, Donald Trump is recorded saying his fame gives him carte blanche to grab women’s genitals.

“When it really started impacting me in more of a ‘I’m really angry about about this’ way was last fall when the Trump tape came out,” the former aide said. “Hearing Donald Trump say essentially the same thing that Al Franken said to me, which was ‘It’s my right as an entertainer,’ that was a real trigger,” she continued

The former staffer says she was particularly shaken after seeing Franken on TV responding to the Trump tape last year. Franken dismissed Trump’s excuse that he was just engaging in “locker room talk” and joked that maybe Trump worked out with Roger Ailes, the now deceased Fox News chairman who was forced to resign in 2016 amid allegations he sexually harassed several Fox employees.

“It was a moment in time where I told a number of my friends about my experience with Franken because I saw him on the news being asked about the Trump tape and I felt like it was really hypocritical,” the former staffer said. “It’s a power dynamic and the fact that Donald Trump could say that was not much different from the fact that Al Franken could say it.”

Franken took pains to separate himself from Trump earlier this year before he was accused of sexual harassment, saying just because the two were “both in a branch of show business” is no reason to lump them in the same category politically.

“I consider myself a polar opposite of him, I mean I really do,” Franken said on CNBC of Trump in September, two months before the first sexual harassment allegations against the Minnesota Democrat surfaced.

Franken has agreed to cooperate with a Senate Ethics Committee investigation into his behavior.

“I do feel this very heavy responsibility to speak the truth,” the former staffer said. “I don’t think that there are different versions of truth and that’s what’s bothered me a lot about [his] responses.”

which appears to be the straw that broke the camel's back and now the party is showing him the door. He just said he'll make an announcement tomorrow:

https://twitter.com/AP/status/938460945717907457

I think he's probably done.

Concerned? Why? Only concern I have is Dems cutting off all their cancer and turning the corner.

Politics wise I don't care.

Personally on a culture level, I have not changed my opinions from that celebrity thread. It has to get worse before it gets better. If anyone thought America's feminism and culture war was possible to win without conflict is fooling themselves.

Colleges stop expelling young men without proof of rapes? A new law passing that holds false rape claim women accountable with jail time mandatory if caught filing a false report? Women start losing weight, wearing dresses, and stop getting tattoos? Women exit the workforce to raise children? Americans start going back to church and raising their children in church? American women stop fighting men in public? States change their laws on divorce to hurt men less?

You think any of this stuff had any chance of happening via osmosis?

If God in several places in the Bible tells you that in order to be blessed, one may have to endure a bad season, before things get better.

If this wisdom is in a book you can easily find, how on Earth can one surmise that the potential for a complete reversal of everything bad (listed above), could have happened without any sacrifice or struggle?

I got news for you buddy.

It will not get better. In fact, it's going to get worse. Much worse.

So, the douchenozzle who “won” a Senate seat by overtly and blatantly committing voter fraud turned out to have moral and ethical issues. Color me shocked...

Hey Al, through it all just keep telling yourself: “I’m good enough. I’m smart enough. And doggone it people like me!”.

“….and we will win, and you will win, and we will keep on winning, and eventually you will say… we can’t take all of this winning, …please Mr. Trump …and I will say, NO, we will win, and we will keep on winning”.

There's also a lesson here about the advantages of an anti-fragile personal brand (for those of you guys who work in a field where that matters).

The biggest reason Trump could survive is big-swingin' dick asshole is his public persona. Accusing Trump of groping groupies is roughly as damaging to his reputation as would be someone accusing Tucker Max of being a womanizer....it just helps accentuate the image he's trying to build. Far more dangerous to him would be any revelation that portrays him as a happy go lucky teddy bear.

The Democrats involved in these scandals are at risk for the exact same reason that evangelical southern Republicans got in trouble for sex scandals: the poles have shifted and their public image now rests on this weird worldview that Democrat party leaders and loyalists are the priests of this new gynocentric, feminist morality complex they've built. Now that it comes out that these people are themselves perpetrators of the same crimes they rail about it destroys the pillar their current status is based on: the perception that they're better people than everyone else.

Most important to any branding-focused career like Hollywood, politics, law, or business is congruency. It's completely congruent with the persona of someone like Trump, Roosh, or Marc Cuban to be womanizers. It's completely ingongruent to the persona of any "male feminist" to be outed as a creeper who engages in blatant harassment instead of just hitting on bar sluts like a normal person does.

As I said before, even though the Democratic party is going through turmoil, we must still stay vigilant. They (and their cuckservative allies) will pull every single trick to sabotage Trump's MAGA campaign.

I don't think he understands that antifa are one of the best things to happen for GOP politicians in recent history.

Every violent antifa riot brings people to our side and doesn't swing people to the left (other than violent thugs who want in on the riots. They probably don't vote anyway.)

And strike fear in Trump? He's the most protected man in the world (secret service etc.)

RE: The Democratic Party is Imploding
Looks like the coming Dem destruction is a bit overstated.
Dem insanity can only be fixed through electoral annihilation, and that's up for debate. Of course, the larger election at the end of the year will be the proof of the pudding.

Democrat Flips Deep-Red House Seat in Missouri

Quote:Democratic candidate Mike Revis on Tuesday flipped what had been a deep-red State House seat in Missouri by a 108-vote margin over his Republican opponent.

Revis defeated GOP candidate David C. Linton in the special election to replace Rep. John McCaherty, who left the office to focus on his run for Jefferson County executive.

President Trump won the heavily Republican district by a 61-33 margin in the 2016 election. There were three other special elections in the state on Tuesday night, all of which the Republican party defended. However, there were major net swings towards Democrats.

This marks the 35th legislative seat nationwide that has flipped since Trump’s inauguration and the second just this year.

I am afraid that women appreciate cruelty, downright cruelty, more than anything else. They have wonderfully primitive instincts. We have emancipated them, but they remain slaves looking for their masters all the same. They love being dominated.

Missouri has been turning blue for years, this is not surprising. Also the DNC is broke. They have no cash on hand, and owe 6.5 million in debts.

I cannot recall ever seeing that happen before.

Any political scientist worth their salt will tell you that you cannot run campaigns on dreams and wishes. It takes money. Lots of it.

We will see if the rich celebs bail them out next November. Even then, they are very behind and momentum is everything.

Quote:EXCLUSIVE: Anthony Weiner Kept Laptops Open Around Sex Worker He Was Seeing Regularly for Nearly Two Years

February 12, 2018

A sex worker who alleges to have had a relationship with Anthony Weiner from 2014-2016 has given the Gateway Pundit exclusive information about their encounters, including the fact that he would often keep his two laptops open while she was at the apartment that he shared with his wife Huma Abedin.

The investigation into Clinton’s email scandal was reopened prior to the election when thousands of State Department emails were found on Weiner’s laptop. Earlier this month it was revealed in text messages between agent Peter Strzok and bureau lawyer Lisa Page that outgoing Deputy Director Andrew McCabe knew about the emails at least one month prior to the information being made public.

The 30-year-old California woman has asked that her identity be protected so that her current clients would not be spooked. She told GWP that she would meet Weiner, 53, at his apartment while Abedin was away and their son was at day care or preschool, which he went to roughly three days a week.

She explained that they had struck up a relationship after she had responded to a few of his tweets and he began to direct message her over Twitter. According to the woman, the duo first met in person between Christmas and New Years Eve in 2014. The relationship abruptly ended in 2016 after his sexual correspondence with a 15-year-old girl was exposed.

Exchanges between the pair were explicit, including him announcing his plans to order “Chinese food and a Thai stripper” when asked about his holiday plans prior to their first meeting.

Weiner contacted the woman from two email addresses, [email protected] and [email protected]

“Sometimes, he’d come across as a reasonably mature man. Other times, he was a petty bitch whose wife and in-laws hated him. I met him at his apartment in NY a few times when Huma was either out/traveling for business and his kid was at day care. He said he was separated at the time (which wasn’t really true) and that he hadn’t contacted other women since, with the exception of me,” the woman told the Gateway Pundit.

Though she leans right-wing, her social media is primarily advertising for her sex work as well as selfies of her fashion and travels. When she was with Weiner, conversations about politics were mostly light and limited to current events, she explained. However, the busty brunette told GWP that Weiner once said he was hopeful that Clinton would win so that his wife would be out of town more often.

“During our last get-together, I asked him if he was excited for Hillary Clinton and Huma. Anthony said he hoped Hillary wins the election so his wife would be away more often and that the White House wouldn’t bother to invite him to major events so he could f-ck whoever he wanted,” the woman told the Gateway Pundit.

When the woman would travel to New York and meet with the disgraced former congressman he would pay her $1,000 plus a hefty tip. “He paid me in cash like a 17-year-old drug dealer because he ‘didn’t want to leave a trail.’ Apparently, he wasn’t bright enough to realize that emails and phone records leave trails too. What an idiot,” the woman recollected.

While Weiner claimed to be security conscious, the woman alleged that he would often leave laptops open in two rooms during their secret rendezvous — which of course we now know contained classified State Department cables.

“In his apartment, he would have at least two laptops open – one was in the bedroom and the other was usually in the kitchen – but I never bothered to snoop around and didn’t really care at the time,” she explained. “I know one laptop was password protected because I accidentally hit the keyboard and the Enter Password screen came up. I never saw any specific/confidential content though nor did he discuss much political matters with me.”

When asked if it would have been easy for her to access either of the laptops if she had been there with less scrupulous motives, the woman told GWP that she could have — and that he was “careless” and “should have had everything on lockdown.”

“Maybe it’s my ego or the fact that he’s just a weak-minded compliant man, but it would’ve been incredibly easy for me to get him to let his guard down and get whatever I wanted,” she said. “He’s lucky I was so apathetic at the time.”

Though she says she was in the home with access to the computers, the woman was never contacted by the FBI or any law enforcement investigating the email scandal.

The woman stated that Weiner was often hostile about his wife’s Muslim religion, because it meant that he could not keep booze in their house.

“For someone who claims to be tolerant, he sure talked a lot of sh-t about Huma and Muslims… and how she wouldn’t let him have liquor in the house,” the woman recalled.

She also provided the Gateway Pundit with screenshots of emails that confirm his poor relationship with the Abedin family.

When asked if he had also provided her with inappropriate photos, the woman confirmed that he did, but that they were sent in private conversations over Twitter and were lost when he deactivated his account.

“I wasn’t smart enough to save them beforehand. I just assumed that if he ever deleted his page, the convos would still be there for me to read through,” she said.

The blue-eyed knockout said that she had not went public with her story in the past because she did not want to become the target of a media smear campaign over her chosen profession.

“I wasn’t interested in putting my name out in public, especially when I knew that mainstream outlets would’ve likely tried to smear me by calling me a lying whore who only wants attention/settlements/etc. Sex workers never get a fair shake in the public forum and I preferred to avoid the headache that would’ve came with me. Plus, Anthony’s lies have attracted karma in a big way and he’s paying dearly in prison,” the woman explained.

Additionally, there was some shame about admitting that she had a physical affair with someone who “f-cks like a mechanical robot (poorly) and has the worst O face in history,” she said.

I'm not going to take a whore's slander seriously, no matter who she is talking about.

How is this not a bigger story? If this happened to Robert Mercer or someone in the Republican Party it would be front page news for a month.

Family and friends of a male escort found dead in the West Hollywood home of a high-powered Democratic Party donor last year continue to press for answers—in a case that has eluded the national media spotlight on incidents of sexual misconduct and racial injustice.

Gemmel Moore, 26, was discovered by police on July 27 inside the apartment of Ed Buck, 63. Buck is a well-known Democratic contributor, and has given more than $500,000 to an array of Democrats including Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey and a variety of state and local organizations in California.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office initially ruled the death an accidental methamphetamine overdose. But the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Bureau on Aug. 14 announced they would investigate if there is any criminal culpability, after Moore’s family and friends disputed the initial finding.

According to the July 31 coroner’s report, Buck’s apartment was riddled with drug paraphernalia. Among the items found were 24 syringes containing brown residue, five glass pipes with white residue and burn marks, a plastic straw with possible white residue, clear plastic bags with white powdery residue and a clear plastic bag containing a piece of crystal-like substance.

The report also states coroner’s investigators spoke with a woman who said Moore told her someone whose name is redacted tied him up “over a year ago” and “held him against his will at the residence in West Hollywood.”

“We don’t want to move forward with anything else without every single piece of information,” said Mendoza, adding that investigators have worked with the district attorney’s office to give immunity to witnesses for unrelated minor crimes so they can speak freely. “We’re just in a holding pattern until we can get those people interviewed.”

Mendoza said investigators are “trying to leave no stone unturned.”

Buck's attorney, Seymour Amster, told Fox News that his client has done nothing wrong.

There’s nothing there. As we always stated, this was an accidental overdose that Ed Buck had nothing to do with and it’s a tragedy," Amster said in a recent phone interview. "The coroner has not changed his opinion from an accidental death. Until that happens, and that’s not going to happen, we’re done."

Once the probe is concluded, investigators will determine whether the findings should be turned over to a district attorney or brought before a grand jury. “I think a detective would probably present it to a DA, but a grand jury is not out of play either,” said Mendoza.

Among the items being investigated is a journal that Moore appears to have kept, which investigators discovered among his belongings. The writings in the journal, which Moore’s mother, LaTisha Nixon, discussed with Fox News, describes his drug use and interactions with Buck.

“I honestly don’t know what to do. I’ve become addicted to drugs and the worst one at that,” a December entry reads. “Ed Buck is the one to thank. He gave me my first injection of crystal meth it was very painful, but after all the troubles, I became addicted…”

Moore’s final journal entry, dated December 3, 2016, reads: “If it didn’t hurt so bad, I’d kill myself, but I’ll let Ed Buck do it for now.”

According to Jasmyne Cannick, an advocate for Moore’s family, a number of other gay black men have claimed Buck would invite them to his house, then pay them several hundred dollars to take drugs.

Moore’s family has set up a website where people can come forward with information. “Gemmel deserves justice. What’s done in the dark always comes to the light,” Nixon told Fox News. “I’m happy Ed Buck got exposed for what he was doing.”

Wtf

If a prostitute OD's in your home on the drugs you supplied him is that not illegal? It's legal to pay for prostitutes now? It's legal for him to possess all those drugs? Nothing to see here move along!
