Why is it that you think wolves run in packs? What purpose do the young wolves serve? Are they not simply a drain on the pack's resources? Surely survival of the fittest would at best compel the strongest male wolves to kill or drive off all others, females included, since sex is not linked to individual survival.

In other words, if you think you can simply rationalise away your innate tribal biological yearnings then you're only fooling yourself.

Again, who is your tribe?

Interesting that you somehow see the things I've stated here as "rationalise away your innate tribal biological yearning" when in fact what Im saying is in support of biology and natural instincts.

Tribe is connected to family, blood and race. I am a white man raised in western civilization. I don;t have a tribe just like every other deracinated white male in the west.

I am building a non blood related tribe and thats where my loyalties lie. Im saying that I dont view the man next to me necessarily as my countryman, tribe member or even someone with peaceful intent. I view them correctly as a potential threat or mark until I am convinced otherwise

Surival of the fittest is not some fairy tale idea. Its commonly observable in nature. Only the strong and most resilient survive. You stating you personal opinion of what "survival of the fittest" is by separating it from nature or biology is also incorrect.

Although you seem to have a limited grasp of what I've said (I was specifically advocating biology, not separating it) we're starting to get somewhere here.

Who makes up the tribe you're building?

edit: You know what. You're a phaggot that started up a "help me" thread on the internet and you've spent the last two pages telling everyone what hot shit you are.

Fuck off phaggot OP.

You were implying that a wolf or something who kills all the females is acting out of survival of the fittest. Perhaps I misunderstood what youre saying.

RE: How do you deal with depression and isolation?
So for anyone that's just tuned in, here's the recap.

Jack Ronin is the coolest motherfucker on the planet. The only real tragedy here is that nobody has noticed it or really pays much attention to him at all, or perhaps they're all jealous, so he's feeling a bit lonely.

Except he's not lonely at all. Because the rest of the world is populated with worthless cunts who could never measure up to his greatness, so his loneliness and depression is the kind suffered by God-kings. The "it's lonely at the top" kind of loneliness and depression. We will have to assume he's a billionaire playboy and or massively influential world powerbroker.

So he came here, hoping beyond hope that some of the local peasants might have been able to offer him comfort while of course maintaining a totally deferential stance to his majesty.

Unfortunately this thread is not going in the direction OP hoped for.

I really gotta stop writing long, thought out responses to threads like these...

But in the spirit of trying to actually help, I think a large part of the OP's problem is likely spendingtoomuchtimeontheinternet.jpg.

Seriously. Go outside. Get off the computer. Stop reading about the "downfall of western civilization" and assorted bullshit. If your concern is your state of mind, and your happiness, then ruminating about such matters isn't going to help at all.

Please show where I blamed anyone in this thread for something unsubstantiated.

If disagreeing with someone makes me "emo", I have to seriously question your reasoning ability.

I responded to the guy throwing around childish insults. I was never insulting to anyone in this thread and I thanked everyone for their comments. But when you start the name calling I'm gonna call you out.

There is a large coagulation of group think in any sort of social community. I personally find it unnecessary and I will say things about it which may ruffle some feathers.

RE: How do you deal with depression and isolation?
Update

Regarding the isolation I spoke of originally. I have been searching this out lately. Getting back to some of the writings which have inspired and motivated me the most. I am going to share a quote from a brilliant man. Julius Evola in his book The Doctrine of Awakening. This speaks on the isolation I'm speaking about more then I ever could.

"Once detachment, viveka, is interpreted mainly in this internal sense, it appears perhaps easier to achieve it today than in a more normal and traditional civilization. One who is still an "Aryan" spirit in a large European or American city, with its skyscrapers and asphalt, with its politics and sport, with its crowds who dance and shout, with its exponents of secular culture and of soulless science and so on-among all this he may feel himself more alone and detached and nomad than he would have done in the time of the Buddha, in conditions of physical isolation and of actual wandering. The greatest difficulty, in this respect, lies in giving this sense of internal isolation, which today may occur to many almost spontaneously, a positive, full, simple, and transparent character, with elimination of all traces of aridity, melancholy, discord, or anxiety. Solitude should not he a burden, something that is suffered, that is borne involuntarily, or in which refuge is taken by force of circumstances, but rather, a natural, simple, and free disposition, in a text we read: "Solitude is called wisdom [ekattam monam akkhatarin], he who is alone will find that he is happy"; it is an accentuated version of "beata solitudo, sofa beatitudo."

I am looking at the feeling of isolation from the modern conditioned response. That it's bad and I should not feel this way. That was my error.

While I'm sure many would disagree with the quote. To those I might ask. How many books have you written?

Why is it so hard for you to have an agreeable conversation with people that are trying to help you?

You have changed your story completely friendo. Depression and loneliness is now a saint-like quality compared with buddha and illustrated by some half-named author.

No. You clearly have a problem with your ego that makes you incapable of taking advice and having a rationale discourse about your problems. Not only that you're elaborately rationalizing your feelings with unrelated works of artists and authors and trying to spread your ridiculous rationale to others. We don't need convincing, you are 90% ego right now. Can't you see this is only hurting your personal development? Jesus man that's what women do. You're a man, act like a man and fix your flaws - not convince yourself you have none or try to convince others they are qualities - once again how many times have you seen women do this?

Take it from someone that constantly clashes with his ego - until you get past this you will suffer. You'll either stagnate or regress. Something made you post the OP. I want to believe you wanted help - yes help. It's okay to ask others for help and take their advice. Worst case their advice is wrong and you come out stronger. There are a lot of smart people here and you're arguing and insulting one of them. One of them that wanted to help.

Hey man did you read all my replies thanking people for the advice which I stated I was following? I know there are most definitely smart people here that I can learn from. However I will bite back when ridicule is thrown my way.

You call it arguing. I call it verbal jousting. Potatoe Potato.

I stated the reasons why I posted the OP. It was something specific which set me off into a bad mood. I got over that when I reframed. Then I felt anger towards the person.

Regradless I'm trying to work through this stuff and this guy who I guess didn't like my reply to his suggestions starts name calling. Man I'm not gonna let that fly on my own damn post.

I have read your posts and I personally don't even know where to start so I can offer you no advice. I just wanted to let you know you are accomplishing absolutely nothing by insulting other members here. You don't have to "let anything fly" you can simply de-escalate and ignore. You're new and you have no rep here, you have nothing to defend. A lot of great posters were dumb as fuck when they came here and we all start somewhere.

He only got so mad because he was trying to help and you took some tough love as a personal attack. That's the way things go here,if you are fucking up people will school you. It's the way men help each other. It's actually pretty fucking cool. So nut up and stop with the flaming.

I think Leonard got mad because I responded in a somewhat asshole way to some of his suggestions. But I don't have to agree with every single one do I?

I know that I can be an egotistical asshole sometimes...but I also cool down after a time as well. Regarding the ego I'm kinda conflicted on some things. So the ego we need to get rid of correct?

Are strong feelings/emotions simply a manifestation of the ego? Because in that case I don;t want to be completely "detached". What's the point of living if you don;t feel intensely strong about your opinions?

I can't see myself like that because in all honesty I never feel so alive as when I'm full of rage at perceived injustices. Never so quickened and enlived to action as when furiously motivated by strong emotions.

While I understand the pitfall and ease of manipulation possible on someone who has no control over their emptions. I still would never want to live a life where I felt nothing.

RE: How do you deal with depression and isolation?
Let this guy be a case study. He might be trolling, but he exaggerates behavioral patterns that are present in men that might come here and read this topic.

The trolls behavior, if it weren't an act, is destructive and infuriating for every normal, social human being. He asks for advice, then disses the people who give it. Never disrespect someone who gives you there time, money and/or attention, especially when you don't agree with them.

He also takes 0 responsibility for his current life, and outright refuses to consider that positive change might be of good influence. Yet, he schools the people here on why his way of thinking is the right one, while at the same time saying that he has problems relating to other people.

If you have trouble relating to other people and constantly find yourself reinforcing your views towards others, it is time to ignore those beliefs for a while. Look for evidence that the opposite viewpoint has something to offer besides "being the truth". For a few months, pick "being happy" over "being right" and then choose between the two.

Also, note that the guy from our case study is a dick towards everyone, while shouting that he has "thanked" people when he liked what they had to say. This is going against the grain socially, and it will make people strongly dislike you. The ones that were "thanked" included. In a best case scenario, the latter will tolerate you. You kill any social capital you may have had.

Conclusion: this particular troll is a great example of how you can fuck up socially. Do the opposite and you have set steps in the right direction.

RE: How do you deal with depression and isolation?
Well worth noting that OP's thread title is "How do you deal with depression and isolation?"

Not "How do you stop being depressed and isolated?"

Taking all of his ridiculous posts into account it's pretty clear that he prefers depression and isolation over human interaction with those he deems inferior, which is basically everyone. All he wants to know is how to handle that lonely life of a God-King.

Couple that with references to prison rape and calling people "tiny tots" and I think that whether OP is a troll or not, he's probably barely 20 years old if that. I suspect a lot of us went through this phase, and looking back it's our solemn duty to give OP the slap he so desperately needs.
