Mace good post

Without question there is something 'wrong' with toronto women. I don't have a good explanation but no city can make a guy feel like a chump better than TO

A quick trip to anywhere else in the world be it hick town USA, Asia etc will solve these problems Indtsntky

When I return from travelling elsewhere, notice how the simplest of interaction ie girl working at a coffee shop wil

Contd...
Is completely different: a man is viewed with suspicion and as a chump

Manabout your comment about girls bring into thugs would apply to a very SMall segment of toronto girls which exist in every city. Most clubs I think of wouldn't let such characters in the door. If anything there are more sex in the city types thinking they r gonna land mr big

Basically TO girls are inflated like the us real estate market pre crash

Having said all this, it is a city of ?3-4 mill so of course there are exceptions, you can have a wild night here etc but it will always be worse than anywhere else

I do agree that aside from girls, the city has a lot going for it Including a crazy vibrant downtown, and likely the most comfortable city for any visible minority in NAmerica

RE: What's the matter with Toronto? Seriously...
The stats should be coming out soon about the population, and Toronto + its suburbs will be around 10 million people. That is HUGE. And I think you HAVE to count it's suburbs because in Toronto, 80% of the people clubbing/partying always go downtown. Personally when I'm goin out with the boys to spit some game, we rarely ever go somewhere other than downtown. And all the girls you meet there are most likely (atleast 80% of the time) from a suburb such as Brampton, Vaughan, Mississauga, Burlington, Oakville, York, etc...

It is a massive city and is growing extremely fast. Toronto is 2nd behind NYC I believe in the amount of buildings/skyscrapers being planned, proposed, approved, and built. It already is one of the biggest cities in North America but it isn't slowing down at all either. I personally think it isn't as hard to get lays here as most people say... it's way over exagerrated. Yes it is much more difficult than most US cities due to how diverse it is, but like I said, I know a lot of people who have no problem getting lays here.

RE: What's the matter with Toronto? Seriously...
Mace good post indeed man. TO is a tough one to crack. Yes there are a lot of sexy and even hot girls walking around, specially around downtown but the bitch shield and attitude of these girls is high up in the stratosphere. I've lived here for the past 16 years and while it is a good city to live, raise a family and quite safe and good job/career/biz opportunities, it also has some major draw backs. For one, the winter is way too long and cold (from mid October to mid April, it's cold and freezing bone chilly from Jan-mid March). It's expensive as fuck and everything is overpiced. The women's attitude is rotten. So while it would be a good place for a married man to settle down (provided he has a good career/biz) and he doesn't mind the mind numbing cold/winters not to mention the overall general boredom that reigns in the city.

While an FOB immigrant might feel he landed in heaven, someone who grew up in Europe and/or who has travelled extensively throughout the world would find Toronto terribly boring and overpriced. While the multiculturalism in TO is a major part of its charm with its various different ethnic quarters and tons of restaurants from all over the world, I feel that this same multi-culturalism is also one of the reasons of its cold and rude feeling that one gets from every day interaction with Torontonians. I'm amazed at how many people lack simple manners like holding a door for the person behind you, saying thank you not to mention smiling. Needless to say that these negative traits are a lot more prevalent among females than males. How many times have I felt to yell at a bitch for not holding a door for the person right behind her. they just hold the door enough to get their phat ass through and let the door close without care for who's behind them. Lost track of how many times felt like slapping the shit out of suck uber rude girls. If there's one thing I can't stand is rude and people not respecting others. That's just common courtesy. It's not asking much to hold the door one or 2 more seconds so the person behind you can pass.

I personally I'm done with TO. I'm going to leave it permanently as of next spring and I'll only spend 1-2 months in the summer to visit family and relatives. There are much much much better places elsewhere. As for the women, I don't even notice them, let along waste time with them. The only ones I'd both with is the FOBs that you'd meed through international events/colleges (specially the exchange ones or the ones enrolled in ESL classes). Btw, there's an awesome weekly event held every wednesday night, a kind of multi-cultural/lingual language gatherings in downtown. I'm planning on hitting them. Anyone want to wing/go with me? They are very entertaining evenings as you meet people form all over the world who for the most part are still new in town and looking to make friends, exhcange language partners and there are usually sexy and smart girls in the mix. So anyone up for it to hit it next wednesday night?

Guvernment is STILL open?...lol

I used to hit Industry, The Docks, Berlin (now closed) and Joker.

Other spots that came and went (some came back) are: Granite, G-Spot, Studio 69 and special parties at Atlantis.

I only complain about Toronto NOW....back in the day, we STAYED on US-219 in PA which took us to Buffalo and then to the QEW. We would get pissed at DC, get off of work at 3pm and be at some Toronto club by 11:30pm hollerin' at chicks.

I've lived in Toronto my entire life and I really agree with the sentiment expressed in this article, unfortunately it's really true. The problem with the city in my opinion is a couple of thing but most of all we lack soul. While we've done a decent job of emulating aspects of cool cities like NY and Miami (business and restaurant wise) the city lacks any sort of vibe.

I find this particarly odd considered how diverse our population is but when it comes down to it between the winter, girls with a HUGE sense of entitlement and stupid rules we have (bars close at 2am, no happy hour, etc) it's just a recipe for a shitty city. RE: What's the matter with Toronto? Seriously...
Funny thing is if you mention any of these sentiments on any mainstream Toronto website, you'd get slammed big time by the locals. There's a lot of people in this city who regard Toronto as "the centre of the universe". Not kidding. Always from people who've never been anywhere. And it's because most of Toronto's population is comprised of FOB immigrants from Third World dumps and transplants from bumfuck hick towns.

A big problem is Canadians aren't particularly cultured or well-travelled. A Canadian's idea of a vacation is a weekend at the cottage by the lake, or if they're adventurous a week in an all-inclusive resort in Cuba. Contrast this to Aussies for whom an overseas vacation is an annual ritual. There's a certain insular Toronto-centrism that's unbecoming of a truly international, cosmopolitan city.

Someone mentioned demographics and it has a lot to do with the poor social vibe and general uptight nature of this city. In Toronto the biggest groups are repressed anal-retentive WASPs, stonefaced Asians, and insular Indians & Muslims. Even the Southern Europeans here (Italians, Greeks, Portuguese) seem mellowed out compared to their cousins back home.

Contrast Toronto to another huge, diverse immigrant hub - New York. In NYC there's a healthy mix of extroverted groups - loquacious Jews, in-your-face Italians, outgoing Puerto Ricans/Dominicans, and a huge black population. In spite of similar levels of diversity, the social vibe in NYC vs. Toronto is very different. ie. chatting with strangers on the subway is common in NYC; this is a major social faux pas in Toronto.

Once you've travelled overseas and visited some REAL cities with an active street life, where people are relaxed and the women are warm and friendly, coming back to Toronto can be hella depressing.

RE: What's the matter with Toronto? Seriously...
I've been reading the posts on this thread and even tho I have no idea of how bad Toronto can be (been there just once over a long weekend), I can tell you that one of my best friends has been staying in Toronto for 2 years now and he gets laid pretty regularly and without too much effort.

He is a natural alpha at 6'4", 100 kilos and in good shape. Supplement that with his natural asshole game and excellent conversational skills and he is gold.

One point tho, he never ever goes to bars, clubs or pubs to pick up women. His pick-up focuses solely on street game. Anytime, anywhere is good for him. Normally downtown is where he picks his targets, then he pulls them to the nearest bar for a drink and then bounces them to a condo in downtown where he goes for the same day lay.

I've seen him do this, this spring where he picked up a solid 8.5 Ukrainian chick and banged her the same day.

He seems to have no problem having a solid rotation on his rolodex. The only downside of his approach is that put him in a bar or club and he simply loses patience.

Maybe street game is the answer to Toronto's men?

Oh and by the way, before the inevitable questions on race and ethnicity come in, he is Indian.

(08-30-2011 06:21 PM)1bliss Wrote:  I mostly do nightclubs so I can provide you with the ones I personally think are the best.

This Is London - Saturday
TIL on saturdays is jam packed and has tons of good looking girls. TIL used to be known for playing house music, so that would attract all the ukrainians, russians, serbs, all the europeans in general who are into house music. But now they mix it up with hip hop, top 40 and house. Still though, saturdays are packed with a lot of girls.

Cheval - Sunday
Every single sunday I have gone to Cheval has been amazing, and I've been a ton of times. It's supposed to be 25+ but most of the people in there are 21-28. A LOT of girls, a lot of hotties. You need to know someone or have booth/bottles upstairs to be allowed to go up there, but if you can that bracelet, you're set. The first/main floor is always packed so it gets kind of annoying, but upstairs is like a rooftop so you can smoke anywhere and it's not as packed as downstairs. This means you can use the "do you have a light?" pretty easily lol. So if you can get the VIP bracelet to go up and down the whole night, you're golden.

Century Room - Sunday
same as Cheval, except a tiny bit smaller and 1 floor.

Muzik - Friday, Saturday
this is one of the best clubs in this huge city. Be warned though, a lot of ballers and high-class older guys go here to flaunt, but if you can get booth/bottle there with some friends, you really should. It's more expensive than the other clubs, but it's worth it. It's a big place and usually has a lot of smoking hot russians/eastern europeans. When you're in line to enter and you get to the door, you'll see a line of maybe 10-15 hot eastern european women in fur coats standing there holding a kind of notebook+pen; their job is to pretty much take you to your booth lol. I've personally never seen that anywhere else, but this goes to show the class of this club.

Skybar - Saturdays
good for house junkies

Guvernment - Friday, Saturday
one of the biggest clubs I've ever been in. It is consistently rated a top 10 club in the world. I personally don't like it because it is WAY too big and there's a lot of drugged out people in there. But you'll find a lot of easy lays, a lot of drunk girls, and on some days a lot of asians if you're into that.

C-Lounge - Mondays
best club on a monday night

My Apartment - Fridays
very good on fridays. It is not in downtown Toronto, it is in a suburb called Mississauga, so most of the girls in there live near the suburb so getting them chill afterwards is not such a mission. It is only good on fridays, don't bother any other days.

Zubar - Saturday
same as my apartment but this one is in Burlington. A lot of people from surrounding suburbs such as Mississauga, Oakville, Brampton and Hamilton will head there. HUGE patio (probably bigger than inside) with a couple big bars, so a lot of hotties chill outside and smoke and drink. It's like 2 different clubs in one.

Cobra - Wednesday
best club on wednesdays. I have only been there maybe 4 times but each time had a good number of 7s, 8s and 9s.

The Drake
it is a mix of a pub, lounge and nightclub. This is very good for a more mature crowd. A lot of good looking people mingling and drinking and a bit of dancing. Definitely check it out. A lot of more mature girls looking for a guy to lead them out of the club in a classy way (lol).

Brunswick House - friday, saturday
The Brunny... only go there if you're into the younger university girls. University of Toronto is just around the corner, and this club is a mix of a pub and a club. Dress code is not strict and it's pretty much a slop show. But I've picked up a good number of girls out of this place. It is easy because the girls are uni students meaning they're wilder, more open and feel free since they're most likely living on residence and not at home. But BE WARNED this place is hit or miss.

Any place in Greek Town - Fridays and Saturdays
There are a few spots in Greek Town (Danforth & Broadview) that for some reason always have beautiful women. 521, Local, and all the lounges/bars there usually have VERY hot girls. They won't be jam packed spots, but there's always groups of good looking girls either sitting down in a resto/bar having a bite + martinis, and then heading down to 521 or Local for some music and guys to swoop them lol. I personally love this area, I don't know what it is but there's always hotties here.

Also some other good ones to check out:
Rockwood - mondays
Brant House - saturdays
Tryst - fridays
Wetbar - saturdays
Tattoo Rock Parlor I hear is good but I have never been

That's it for nightclubs that I can think of off the top of my head. There's also a ton of pubs, bars, malls, lounges, etc

It's amazing how unprogressive the city's nightlife....this is the same club line up since 2006. It's because it caters to 905ers, which is the real reason the city is lame and uncool, esp the chicas.

I disagree with the concept about Toronto being hard because it's diverse.

I grew up in London, England and that place is probably as diverse as Toronto. I met Vietnamese, Swedish, Russian, Ukranian, Polish, African, Caribbean, Pakistani, etc etc..you name it..to the same degree as Toronto.
Tons of FOBS too.

It took me a while to put my finger on it when I came to Toronto. I was very much taken in by the diversity of people and fine women and I thought I was going to absolutely kill it here.

So what is it?

The difference is, the Canadian culture is lax when it comes to imposing integration of different cultures. You can come in from whatever country it is and not even know how to speak the language and there is no cultural pressure from Canadians for one to integrate.

Yes, the Canadians think all sorts of things about FOBS (a friend of mine admitted her disgust when some cat at her workplace decided to wash his feet in the kitchen sink.
But Canadians don't say shyt about it.
As a result, many cultures don't feel that pressure to integrate and remain in their own groups.

The English on the other hand, make you feel uncomfortable if you continue to adhere to your country mannerisms without any semblance of integration.
In school, you can't imagine the amount of ridicule the other kids would heap on the FOBS.
I heard it in stores. I felt the insinuations towards others in the workplace and in stores.

London lizards also don't give a shyt. I've heard them yell at some of my FOB friends "Fack off back to your country"

How's that as a catalyst for integration?

America is the same way. Americans don't seem to give a fcuk about telling you to do things the American way or fcuk off.

I've worked in IT and had an American guy demand one of my Indian friends off of the phone and bring on a guy who could speak 'American'.
This type of frank behaviour shakes one up and reminds them to get with the program.
Again, Canadians will think the same way but will not overtly act on it.
I've heard my Canadian friends thoughts on immigrants.

Let me give you an example of integration pressure.

Some friends of mine visited me recently from the U.K. One of the guys ( a friend of my friend) had moved to London from Jamaica five years ago.
When I heard this guy speak, I could not hear the Jamaican accent strongly. His London accent didn't sound 100 percent but I couldn't overtly catch the Jamaican twang.
Now, I know guys here from the island who have been here for 20 years plus and their accent sounds as strong as Samson.
Five years, faded accent versus 20 years no change.
Why? Because there is no Canadian pressure to integrate.

An Indian friend of mine, recently moved to America maybe five years ago. Prior to that he had been living in Toronto for about 12 years and change.
I went to his place in Brampton last year. His swag is totally different now.
His accent dwindled down, even his wife is more chatty and groovy.
In the years prior that I knew him, his accent was as thick as gravy.
How is it that in four years he has changed so much?

To conclude, it's got fcuk all to do with diversity. That's just some crap the Canadians feed you.
Cultural integration.
I repeat: London, England is JUST as diverse as Toronto.

The exact same diverse groups you see here in the dot, I saw them in London, England.

You are right, Canada + it's system + it's population are far too 'nice' to fobs, this is why they don't feel the pressure to integrate. But that could be a good thing when trying to find a quality european/latina girl Wink

Vacancier hit the nail on the fcuking head. The key as you mentioned is, whoever grew up in Europe and has travelled extensively will be bored by Toronto.

I am down for the meetup next Wednesday. PM me your details, bro and let's link up. I am interested in finding a French and Spanish language exchange partner. I want to at least be fluent in French (ideally Spanish as well) before I leave the dot.
Vacancier, where are these events that you speak of held?

Cultural integration.

Many aspects of mainstream Canadian culture are inferior. I don't see why immigrants should have to integrate to something that is worse than what they already have.

If it's worse than what the immigrants have, then why immigrate?

Why would someone immigrate to a place with an inferior culture?

And what aspects of American or British culture are better? What aspect of American culture is unique and not the child of immigrant contributions?

I think Canada has many good things to offer but as a poster mentioned, they have no soul or life about what they have.

Economics. Stability. Safety.

These things have nothing to do with culture.

On the one hand men on this board are complaining about the feminist culture giving rise to monster women. The feminazis are a purely western creation, one of which Canada is a part.

So, while the rest of us bemoaning the feminist anti male culture that is so rampant in the west, you are actually saying that immigrants should integrate MORE? NO! The opposite is what is needed. Women from traditional Chinese and Indian cultures realize that there are differences between men and women. They don't try to become men. They respect the role men have in society. They don't try to compete with men. If anything Canadians should be adopting their culture, not the other way around.

European women for example take pride in their feminity. They dress well, take care of their body, eat right and exercise. Canadian women walk around in dumpy sweatpants with their fat bellies hanging out.

This is the culture you want people to integrate into? PLEASE.

There is a reason why men are running away from Canadian women. We don't want the ones moving here to integrate at all.

Gotta agree with Moma.
Idk about chinese women but Indian women come from a culture thats already shitty. At least if they integrete they'll be more likely to put out.

The problem is that Immigrant women don't take care of themselves and also learn English very slowly. I see too many Asian girls here who have horrible acne.
They are in Canada, they need to learn English and also socialize with the local people. Instead I see massive segregation, I always see the FOBs hanging out with other FOBs. I can understand that if they are visiting for a month or so but if they are living here they need to make local friends.

I'm an immigrant too. I know that wherever I move I need to do as the locals do.
If I ever plan to visit Colombia for more than a few months I'm obviously going to learn Spanish and learn the local customs.
And when I move there I'm not going to only hang around with expats and never mingle with the locals.

As Moma said, in London they are forced to integrate. Toronto doesn't have that much. If I came to Toronto fresh of the boat from India I would have probably not been integrated. However, since I lived in the US for 5 years in my life and had integrated there I had no problem making diverse friends here instead of just with other people of my ethnicity.

Its funny how the really good schools are whitewashed while most other schools are full of immigrants. It just shows that despite what people say Toronto is not a great example of a diverse city. Everybody is politically correct but they only tolerate each other.

Heck, white kids don't even want to go U of T or Waterloo because of the Asian kids there. Fuck, I don't want to go those places either. All my white friends told me that too, that they don't want to go to U of T because of all the FOBS there.

The only integration I see is with second generation immigrants.

Thats American culture.
Toronto's other big problem is American culture and its influence. I have heard Montreal does not have this problem. American culture is toxic especially in big cities where it is most pervasive.

RE: What's the matter with Toronto? Seriously...
First thing anyone needs to know about Toronto......Toronto is NOT representative of Canada.

Toronto is its own entity that is only vaguely Canadian. It's both the most 'American' city in Canada, and the most 'diverse'. These dynamics make it very, very different than the rest of Canada.

Across Canada, generally speaking, you will find good (but not great) looking girls that are approachable, race friendly, and easy to fuck. Canadian guys aren't accustomed to bitch shields and entitlement issues. They've had it pretty easy, and that's why Canadian guys haven't developed game skills and are beta bitches. It pains me to say this.

The combination of Canadian beta males and 'alien' Toronto girls makes for horrible gaming environment for guys. The only caveat of this, is that Toronto has long had some of the best players out there, from even before the Mystery era.

Toronto girls give you an impressive range substandard pussy. You get the career driven cunt who wants a preppy bay street douche beta. You get the hood trash looking for a guys that are to prove he's 'gangsta'. You get the ethnic girls who don't branch out beyond their inner circles much. You get the hipster chicks who are too cool to talk to you (although these girls are legitimately hot). And the worst - 905 princesses who have been spoiled by suburban cheeseballs who DLV on the regular. These 905 bitches are solid 7s, but think they are 9s and actually get treated like 9s by thirsty beta bitches. The sheer quantity of lame, uncool, unclassy suburban ginas that live at home with mommy and daddy paying for everything while thirsty dudes wait in line to jump for them, is astonishing.

Two biggest problems with Toronto girls:

1) They are becoming more American every day. They have lost their Canadian characteristics. Gone are the glory days of the 90s.

2) Substandard quality of pussy. For a city of this size, it is lacking 8+ girls.
