RE: Philippines resort under attack (Mormon separatist rebels are suspected responsible)
By the way, I've posted on this forum in the past that the problems in the Southern Phils. were much worse than what the media was letting on.

The media would constantly use a single group, for instance Abu Sayyaf, as a catch-all for the over a dozen Islamic groups in the region.

There were around 500 militants originally in the (still ongoing) siege of Marawi City. Of the around 100 that were killed, at least 8 were foreign: from Chechnya, Yemen, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

If 500 jihadis could hit that city on short notice, including foreign members, how many do you think are in that region? Remember, the military is supposedly still hitting the Sulu/Jolo area hard, which is supposedly the main area for Abu Sayyaf (and much of the jihadi action in the past few centuries). The large MILF and MNLF groups supposedly have a cease fire with the government (though I've debunked this previously as well).

We're looking at thousands of armed extremists in a relatively small area, many of them affiliating themselves with IS.

The place is an absolute hotbed, and this falls largely on the shoulders of Duterte.

Not only was he the mayor of Davao for 30 years and has decades of experience and intel on these regions, he has family hailing from that area as well.

He absolutely knew how bad this was all along and refused to live up to his tough talk in the region. He was still trying to make peace with Abu Sayyaf after he became president and declined to label them terrorists, despite the fact that they had killed hundreds through bombing, beheading, kidnapping, etc. over the years.

Duterte's mother's side of the family is Muslim, as are his grandchildren. His former professor is the founder of the country's decades old communist rebellion.

Hence why he's not nearly as hard on either group as he portrays. He tried to cover over the problem and its bitten him in the ass, with the problem getting worse since he's become president.

Neither the Spanish, Americans, nor Japanese could deal with that shit, back when the Moros were still fighting with swords.

Hopefully Duterte has gotten the message now and is done crying over photos of dead centuries old jihadis at ASEAN conferences. The Moros have been terrorizing the Philippines for centuries.

Uhoh - that is bad about the seemingly strong shitlord. Now his comments about the raping of the Christian nun make sense. He is tougher on drugdealers than Islamists.

The entire world - a bunch of traitors.

Everyone knows that Islamic terrorists are not groups you can reason with. You need to kill them all and crack down on all Jihadi pushers, which are of course many.

Philippines are fucked if that continues - the Muslim population will grow and if policies like that an Islam close presidents it will only become worse.

To be clear, Duterte has grandchildren through one of his sons that are Muslim through the son's wife, but he and the rest of his three children (and their children) are Christian, as far as I know.

But yes, he's always been harder on drug dealers than Islamists. Even as mayor of Davao City, he gave concessions to the "oppressed" Muslim merchants.

There's still the hope that either the problem doesn't get out of control and/or he listens to his more pragmatic side.

Quote:Philippines are fucked if that continues - the Muslim population will grow and if policies like that an Islam close presidents it will only become worse.

Very probable.

You have a region with:

- martial law
- thousands of existing jihadis and militants
- lax gun laws (Phil. constitution is based on America's)
- mostly Muslim, mostly poor population
- close proximity to Malaysia and Indonesia

And note, not only does Malaysia have a large Muslim population and history of supporting jihadism, Kuala Lumpur's airport is one of the biggest international hubs in the world.

Things could very easily revert to the "norm" for that region, which is out of control Islamic piracy and jihadism projected throughout the islands. Even during Spanish rule, that area was one of the biggest slaving and pirate ports in the world.

Not only are there many more "groups" in Muslim Mindanao than is usually publicized, these jihadis are all interrelated and switch "groups" constantly.

For instance, MNLF wants an autonomous government under the current government, whereas BIFF wants a completely separate Muslim state.

In the end, it's all basically the same thing. Especially when half the guys in each gang are cousins or brothers.

But parts of the government and media there really try to obfuscate this all. It's always "well, this group is large but it has a ceasefire with the government" and "this group has pledged allegiance to IS, but they're quite small".

But when you add it all up, the reality is tens of thousands of armed, militant Muslims that everyone is pretending aren't there.

RE: Philippines resort under attack (Mormon separatist rebels are suspected responsible)
They've released the identity of the shooter, as well as some of the surveillance footage of right before and after he enters the casino.

He turned out to be Filipino (or that's what's being claimed), despite the repeated descriptions of a "foreign English-speaker with a mustache".

Of course, nearly everyone in Manila speaks English, many of them to a fluent or near native level, which makes that qualifier absolutely retarded.

And the guy does not look at all European or white. He's got a wide, flat Filipino nose (and no mustache either).

But this is the status quo for this administration and the media with regards to terrorist attacks.

They were quick to point out that one of the dead jihadis in the recent Marawi attack was white. The implication being that every terrorist attack is some kind of secret CIA plot.

But the guy turned out to be Chechen.

After the infamous Mamasapano clash a couple years ago, they brought up the body of a "blue-eyed" foreigner. Probably another Chechen -- but of course every person with fair skin is part of the CIA.

It's much easier to blame the US for the centuries of Islamic violence that have far preceded and succeeded America's presence in the country.

The Philippines are also under globalist control, so they won't release it if it was a Muslim. Seems to be less of a terrorist attack in this case, but still - why not say who he was?

I'm friends with a girl that has worked at Resorts World for years. She's a dealer there and says her shift ended shortly before the gunman entered.

She says there was more than one gunman and that her friends were shot.

We were meant for far more than to suffer in our self created prisons only to die alone. It doesn't have to be that way. It never did.

Well - someone unsurprisingly does not want the truth out, that it was a bunch of Islamic terrorists targeting casinos in the Philippines. I cannot blame them, because big spenders don't like being shot, when they can go to Macau just as well. Even now it will cost them tens of millions of $ in lost revenue.

But knowing Islamists, then I expect more such attacks to come, so it won't be the last. Philippines has barely begun to fight the Religion of Peace.

Adelson owns the Macau casino, maybe he doesn't like the local competition?

Yeah - because Jews did it and there is only one casino there - one Jewish guy owns all Macau casinos?

Yes, Adelson has a near monopoly on casinos in China and Singapore.

And he's very well connected:

Marawi area still under ISIS control despite weeks of interaction with Philippine military. Mass executions among the civilians.

US special forces deployed.

Islam showing again how wonderful it is. Wait when the Philippines get more Muslims - I can smell the enrichment coming their way. It will be an Islamic version of Vietnam.

Duterte seems to be asking for help now openly. This is bloody street to street battle since they have plenty of civilians still in those areas. I wold personally shell the shitheads with artillery and reduce them to rubble. It is cheaper to rebuild all buildings than to sift through bloody street combat. But of course since there are so many civilians and likely a few are innocent by day and ISIS-shitheads by night, then it does not get easier.

It's everywhere in the news, but you can also find alternative sites.

Essentially some regions are becoming ISIS offshoots in the Philippines.

ISIS is spreading:

Syria,
Iraq
Sweden (not yet declared)
Philippines
Indonesia

There are a number of news and variety magazines and newspapers in the Philippines, from what I understand, who don't put their content on line. Many of these will have the best coverage of this event, unfortunately for those of us who live outside the country.

This is where the hope for a shift in Duterte's stance on Islam and the West comes in.

He went from calling Trump a "bigot" to heaping praise upon him, and now, he's gone from blaming the US Special Forces' presence in the region for the instability to accepting their help.

There's a chance he realizes that the period of the US' quote-unquote "subjugation" of the Moros during the early 20th century was the only window in the region's history when the Muslim pirates weren't relentlessly terrorizing and enslaving Filipinos.

The thing that initially impressed me about Duterte when I started following him a couple years ago is that he's a very pragmatic individual, in line with the likes of Trump. His actions tend to be more based in results than ideology, which is why I've always been disappointed with his blindspots for Communism and Islam. But I think there's a chance that his continue failure to negotiate with both groups in Mindanao will red pill him.
