Disney caught spying on our kids
We have been bashing Disney on the forum, and for good reason.

The new development is that Disney has been slapped with a lawsuit. The claim is that 42 apps (that is the number so far) have "trackers" inside them. The lawsuit is a class-action and a California resident Amanda Rushing has filed it.

Disney is allegedly violating the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) of 1998. The law states that:
Quote: The Rule imposes certain requirements on operators of Web sites or online services directed to children under 13 years of age, and on operators of other Web sites or online services that have actual knowledge that they are collecting personal information online from a child under 13 years of age (collectively, ‘‘operators’’). Among other things, the Rule requires that operators provide notice to parents and
obtain verifiable parental consent prior to collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from children under 13 years of age. The Rule also requires operators to keep secure the information they collect from children, and prohibits them from conditioning children’s participation in activities on the collection of more personal
information than is reasonably necessary to participate in such activities.

What Disney did:
Disney it's apps collecting information on users. This is no different than any other app developer doing that. This helps the add providers tailor their ads to the apps users. Unfortunately for Disney, this requires parents verifiable consent and not collecting information "more than is reasonably necessary".

Disney has an interesting claim:
Quote:Disney has a robust COPPA compliance program, and we maintain strict data collection and use policies for Disney apps created for children and families.
The complaint is based on a fundamental misunderstanding of COPPA principles, and we look forward to defending this action in Court.

I have a feeling that Disney is the one who has a "fundamental misunderstanding" of the law. We will have to wait and see

Disney is evil - been like that for a long time.

Wouldn't surprise me the least if the rumors are true and they are sacrificing children under Disney World parks.

RE: Disney caught spying on our kids
Its all because of this evil Jew:

He started it.

I take my little niece to the Disney resort frequently to eat breakfast with the characters. Also, they got some nice restaurants there, and if you take a Japanese girl there and can't get laid, you have problems.

Well no joke, and I usually pay cash, these evil bastards start calling me one day about buying timeshares in the Disney vacation club. I asked how they got my nu!mber and they said I must have filled out something. No way. There's creepy son of a bitches inside those costumes, and not in hello would I want them having my info.

I swear they must have some facial recognition or something that tracks your phone when you go there. And here they are doing it to kids.
