I remember watching it when it came out and it just felt like an brutal, intrinsically 'real' portrayal of what life would have been like during the start of America. The opening scene is like 10 or so minutes of near silence and an oil drill falling and killing one of the workers at the well - surrounded by nothing but desert.

The two main characters in the movie are completely non likeable and have no redeeming features. Daniel Day Lewis plays a peasant who strikes oil and manipulates all he can to earn his fortune. Paul Dano plays a dishonest preacher who lies about his ability to channel god and earn money for the 'church'. Its just a real accurate vision of machiavellianism.

I agree 100%. I recall watching the movie when it was first released. I thought to myself: "great movie, but it is so dark and brutal that I will probably never watch it again." I finally did watch it again about a year ago. A truly brilliant movie about multiple sociopaths vying with each other over power and the souls of men. It is a microcosm of Washington, D.C. and other centers of power, which draw such sociopaths to their midst.

Dunno if this has been mentioned before, but has anyone else noticed the term "Fight Club", the movie's great quotes, and the entire movie (to an extent) going mainstream? Should this be concerning?

So I came across a very interesting study on the effect that watching certain movies have on hormone levels.

It turns out that watching The Godfather increased T levels in men via 'power' arousal.

Watch Red Pill movies and increase testosterone... FTW!

Following the fight there was a feeling that sex was always right around the corner, right beyond the periphery of Cruise's awareness, with the wife of Cruise's patient, with the prostitute (she asks "would you like to come inside with me?" though I actually heard "would you like to come inside of me?", the strange situation with the costume dude and his daughter, very strange. I was captivated and wondered where it was all going.

The sex party scene was bizarre, to put it mildly. It actually called to mind the 'Secret Society' post by Tyler Durden. Once they found out he wasn't one of them, he had to leave. I've done some reading online and there seems to be many theories concerning this scene, even connecting it to Stanley Kubrick's death several days after filming.

Props to Tom Cruise for accepting roles in weird movies. Eyes Wide Shut, Vanilla Sky, Magnolia. Dude takes on some difficult films, which I appreciate.

If you want to get really deep into that rabbit hole, research Kidman's childhood. Specifically her father. And then watch the interview with Kidman following Kubrick's death. When she got the script, he had handwritten a note saying she should sit down while reading it.

Any links in particular? I had this opinion that Kidman is really phucked up before you wrote this, and now I want to know more.

Fiona Barnett accused Antony Kidman of ritual abuse of herself and his daughter, Nicole. She also claims that Antony participated in the murder of a young boy at Sydney University, I think. The claim is they flayed him alive, and that Nicole was present for it. Antony Kidman was a successful psychologist in Australia. Had his own university research arm set up and everything. Here's part one of a documentary called "Candy Girl".

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Q3yH9EIPfs

Here is an article Fiona wrote for an independent publication:

https://independentaustralia.net/life/li...tions,6918

From Dr. Kidman's wiki page:

Quote:In 1977, Kidman established the Foundation for Life Sciences, a non-profit organisation focused on youth mental illness. It was renamed the Antony Kidman Foundation after his death

Fiona has a website, here: https://fionabarnett.org/

Then there is the story of how Nicole ended up on the silver screen. She was introduced into stardom by Liz Mullinar, founder of Heal for Life, a clinic in Australia for abuse victims. There is no explicit mention of ritualized abuse on the website that I see, but many bloggers are eager to make the connection, such as this one: https://pedophilesdownunder.com/kidman-c...ual-abuse/

All of this is unsubstantiated, as far as I know. But the two of them, father and daughter, have a a somewhat off-putting look. It's not visible at all angles. But it's there, as I'm sure you've noticed in Nicole.

Good stuff. Thanx, I will look.

I picked up her fucked-up nature since Dead Calm. I got a nose for that, and over the years it was a drive-by noticing. Lots of red flags and signals there; the constant nude scenes/sex scenes with very little talent shown. This was all capped by the recent posing on Marie Clare mag, where she looked like a sex doll posed with her legs open.

Truly disturbed.

RE: Red Pill Movies
Eyes Wide Shut is an expose of the Illuminati. There is a ton of symbolism in it. Some think they killed Kubrick because of it. Kubrick by the way has long had a unique quasi insider status. Some believe he filled the moon landings and planted clues to that fact in the Shining.

Unrelated to Stanley Kubrick, I recently watched the classic film Rififi. It was made in France shortly after world war II. It is one of the classic heist movies, it's really one of the first. The main character gets out of prison and finds out that his girlfriend has been shacking up with another gangster. He beats her, and then he realizes that if he's going to accomplish anything, he needs to do what he does best and so he does another heist. there are some twists and turns that these days are a little predictable, but they probably originated in this film. Anyway, the main character lives by code and that directs a lot of the action following the heist

Rocco documentary/movie on Netflix is very red pill - does whatever the fuck he wants

I’m curious about Vicky Christina Barcelona, I see the way he talks to the women as great, but what do you guys think about his constant mentioning of his ex wife to the girls?

Is it just me, or did she get a boob job? She's naked in Big Little Lies a lot and the tits are great, but bigger than I remember them from Eyes Wide Shut.

Furious WB.

RE: Red Pill Movies
Free Solo

Watched this last night and wow...that guys has balls of steel. Natural born Alpha (or perhaps Sigma would better define him) who completes what is, arguably, the greatest physical achievement in the history of mankind.

The relationship he has with his girlfriend is textbook Alpha. The video I posted above really paints their relationship in a Blue Pill light, but watch the movie and you can see the truth. This girl is fucking putty in his hands. At one point he questions if she is the reason why he has had recent injuries and seriously wants to break up with her...but she pretty much begs him to keep her around.

He is determined to complete his goal and he really doesn't care if his girlfriend sticks around or not. You can really tell he can take her or leave her. Absolutely zero fucks.

Beyond the dynamic he has with his gf, it really is a fantastic film (won an Oscar this year). It's one of those movies where even though you know the outcome, the last 30 minutes or so are really fucking intense.

"Once you've gotten the lay you have won."- Mufasa

"You Miss 100% of the shots you don't take"- Wayne Gretzky

I think "the man from nowhere" is a great example of a red pilled movie it basically shows a man who went lone who is only brokern out of his antisocial behavior because of a little girl that he simply knows was kidnapped. I won't spoil the rest because it's an amazing movie filled with some true gore.

it's pretty common and im sure on this thread but both fo the alfie scenes are red pilled.

My favourite film of all time is The Player. Tim Robbins plays a studio executive who murders a writer he thinks has been harassing him with threatening postcards. He kills the wrong person. The Tim Robbins character (Griffin Mill; my namesake) is a masterclass in not breaking frame, maintaining steely resolve, and being totally smooth. The film is notable not least for the scene where he breaks up with his girlfriend without breaking a sweat. It's directed by Robert Altman, has a perfect score from Thomas Newman, and is just an all-round excellent film. Watch out for the cold, hypergamous instincts of Greta Scacchi.

Speaking of the luscious Greta Scacchi.

How so?
I am guessing it was one of those low budget films. I thought it covered some important points though. The lead character was a bit stiff for some reason I can't quite figure out but it paints quite a raw picture of the consequences of oneitis, lack of keeping frame in a marriage and letting this show outside, white knighting and female nature, even if we leave aside his decision to step outside his marriage.
