I did not expect this, it's not much of a loss what with the btc fork, but it is bearish for the ICO market as a whole.

I'm going to give Mercury Network a pass. The celebrity endorsement is already too big a red flag to pursue it in a bear market.

Bought a shit ton of REQ below ICO price. Can't believe people are already bailing on this at a loss on day 1...I know people are impatient in crypto, but were people really expecting this to open at x5-10 in the current market? Holding this until moon or bust.

Those were people that had private presale deals and got bonus coins. They sell those bonus coins immediately as it's 100% free money. It wasn't really a case of weak hands.
In any case, it's still win-win.

RE: The Official Crypto ICO thread
Here's an interesting article describing various ICO's as a kind of coin toss.

Of course this is coming from a kind of mainstream medium that did not seem to get into too many technicals in terms of actually analyzing various ICOs.

Mercury is an L.

If they burn tokens however I may put some in if the cap is very small. It's a trash app though.

RE: The Official Crypto ICO thread
It looks like the Red Pulse ICO went on Kucoin and did pretty well in comparison to recent ICOs. I sold half at about 2x.

I would have had about $8k in pure profit had they not been shady about when the second round would start. People who sent their neo exactly at the time instructed on the site and in the email didn't get their neo accepted because the block technically started before the time. They completely failed to mention this very important fact. People that went about 4 minutes after the stated time got in, most likely insiders.

I think RPX is definitely a shitcoin and completely uneccesary but once it gets onto an established exchange like binance then there will be more room to moon as it's the first Neo coin.

I'm still glad that this one did well anyhow in comparison to REQ.

Red Pulse had a very low cap of 15 million while Requests cap was over 40 million. Red Pulse is an easy layup for profits. I sold alot of my Request for Bitcoin. Bitcoin with 2x coming up is going to go up while the alts will bleed. I will go back into Request once the alts recover (after 2x) and closer to when their roadmap says they'll have something tangible. I'll take the Loss on Request for now.

RE: The Official Crypto ICO thread
Anyone doing the Wabi ICO? Only 11mil MC and with a working product but the cap is expected to be only 1.4-1.7 eth per account (good thing i have a handful of KYC verified accounts). Pre sellers are locked for 3 or 6 months so everyone flies out the gates on equal footing. Might pick up some more on ED if it stays cheap enough. ICO's have been doing well recently so it seems like a good time to get in.

If it flies out the gates at x2 or x3 feel free to buy my bags.

HST, ARN, RDN, GRX, QSP (lol thanks again lads), POWR, PBL, CFD (minus the whole fact that it was a scam) and RCN just to name a few.

I got in on QSP. I sold half of my investment at 4x. Next ico I’m looking at is verify.as because the cap is very low (2.5m).

Took a very quick glance. Website and white paper look ok.

Cap is low, but they're only selling 22,25% of coins. Meaning the total cap would be around 10M...
Any other reasons you're specifically looking at this one, besides the small cap?

Any idea about competition? Maybe Augur (never really looked into it)?

RE: The Official Crypto ICO thread
Honestly, I thought the Marketcap of the Crowdsale of 30m is high for Quantstamp. But since I was able to get 40% Discount allocation from my friend I went ahead and through several Ethereum at it. Currently the cap is at 100m and it was at one point at over 120m.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/quantstamp/

The reason I looked at it was because with the discount the cap would have to be 18m for me to breakeven. So I took a chance with it and it has been some great gains (At one point I was at a 4x and that is when I sold half of my tokens). Everything is house money now and will probably take all of my money out this weekend to invest in another ICO I think is a sleeper.

Whitelists are closed for most of the good ones.

I just did Zilliqa (5 eth cap), signed up a few accounts for Bluzelle and Nucleus Vision (both very hyped, looking good returns wise especially Bluezelle which is 19mil mc).

Further in the future WePowr looks good. Rootstock and Hashgraph should have ICO's at some point but not for certain right now.

Both of these look like interesting projects.

However, do you know what makes Bluzelle different than Siacoin and STORJ? There are already a few players in storage, I just can't figure out what Bluzelle will do differently. Perhaps there is enough space for multiple players in cloud storage (which I think is true), and Bluzelle is just filling out the market.

Will keep an eye on it regardless.

@rhodey Thanks for the tip. Thata looks great, like it will sell out in seconds. I just whitelisted my address and will be there waiting to invest but not expecting too much. Do you know how to get whitelisted for Beetoken? I already gave them my email address a week or so ago but haven't heard anything from them.

STK Token sold out in the presale. Instead of making the cap higher they just closed down the entire crowdsale. That’s a great move. I’m going to probably cop around 50 ether worth of STK on the exchanges as soon as it releases. This is going to be the next Populous, MetalPay, or OmiseGo type of ICO.

@NewDayNewFace Every good ICO lately has been coming out the gate at at least double the ICO price. What would be the maximum price that you'd be excited about buying STK at?

If I can invest for 2x I'd be a happy man. I think this coin can realistically do a 20x within the next couple months. The cap to me is nothing at just 17m. Especially after seeing what competitors have done.
