Bittrex tweeted this:

https://twitter.com/bittrexexchange/stat...1257823232

Confirms that chainlink already applied to bittrex and their application is being processed. I think it's just a matter of time.

The CEO announced release of the network in Q1. They've hired Golang devs and marketers. I now believe this is a guaranteed moon and you probably won't have to wait more than 6 months to see it.

Full disclosure: I'm a big believer and holder of it.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll give it a punt.

I read that and it's pretty fluffy. Why so bullish?

They are working with big names and have their main-net out in Q1 of next year. Provided anyone can buy and wait that long it's almost guaranteed to take off based on token economics alone.

Right now blockchain is missing a good oracle (read: middleware that transfers real world data into a smart contract to make smart contracts actually useful in any given system), and chainlink are providing that and more, the oracle system is also decentralized and offers more security than other oracle offerings so far in blockchain.

Disregarding big partnerships that will become a real thing once the network is live the token is used:

1) To run nodes on the network, it is 1 out of a few metrics used to rank your node.
2) To pay node operators to use their node to run data through it.

Node operators want to hoard link for better metrics to get better ranked nodes so they are used more / paid more. The more Link you have the higher the ranked node, or the more nodes you can run = you gain more link. Then the other side is simply either keep hoarding more link (reduces circulating supply) or sell it to either people who want more link for their nodes or people who need it to pay operators to use the nodes.

So there are good incentives to knock the price up. Running a node should be easy, I have been playing with the idea of doing so using my stack, for hardware you can use a VPS like AWS or Linode or maybe even cluster a couple of Raspberry Pis (depends on the hardware requirements, maybe only one Pi is needed, we dont know yet).

Launching the network is the bottleneck for all the moon missions. With network release you get partnerships rolling in and adoption. Working product + partnerships + adoption = moon missions.

New development
Sergey has finally brought the initial implementation of the ChainLink Node in Go language. The GitHub has been made public for everyone to see: https://github.com/smartcontractkit/chainlink

There's a resurgence of interest. 4chan went berserk when they got legendary digits (7777777) that confirm that Kek is on the side of ChainLink.

Nice!

When did this news come out, though? I noticed LINK started going up more than any other coins during the recovery about a week or two ago. Feels like insiders knew and loaded up more on LINK.

Either way, I'm glad I held.

There was an initial pump leading up to Sergeys talk at a Bitcoin super conference on Sunday, then he announced its release and it actually pumped more, rare instance of people buying the news.

Looks like god of chaos is a real thing. Almost a year later LINK is now rank 30 on CMC and hit 15.5k sat today.

Nice call back in 2017. A few months off but it looks like LINK may be hitting $5 soon, and $20 EOY would be underwhelming at this point if the bull run continues.

I thought Chain would be at $4 or $5 by now but it's still hovering around $3.50 - 3.65 lol.

That's still pretty impressive. If OP is still holding from 2017 he could be a rich man right now.

Is anybody still bullish on it? Would you put money in it now or wait for it to go fall back down? Is it projected to go any lower?

You guys should probably listen to me instead of the well-known maximalists on this forum. Condescending peptalks on altcoins will not make you rich, in both fiat and Bitcoin terms.

After hearing about Alexander Caze I know that FBI (and probably tax authorities) are all over this forum so I'm not going to divulge my exploits, but having said that, I'm doing reasonably alright.

There will be other opportunities to make serious life changing money over the next 18 months. I'll be sure to call out others with fundamentals and those that are clearly scams.

Thoughts on BNB? I might be wrong but I don't see Binance as an institution relieving any power any time soon and with that I think we're going to see a huge uptick.
