Is it Accelerating? (general decline of, well, everything)
I know that every generation thinks that it is living in the worst possible time in Human history (end times, etc.) - but lately it really does seem like things are accelerating at an almost geometric pace.

I know our Forum members are very well read, up on current events as well as history, and hyper-aware of trends in society and politics and such. Doesn't it seem that within the last 12-18 months or so that the outrages and WTF moments, the sheer speed at which insane changes/challenges/conflicts/revelations are happening in Western society, have grown and come to dominate the headlines? It's become almost unbelievable.

I could drop a list of things that just didn't even seem fathomable maybe 5 years ago, but we all know what they are already - check the threads in any subforum essentially. BLM, NFL, Vegas, Islamic takeover of Europe, disruption in college classrooms, pedophilia, the rise of the Alt-Left/Alt-Right/AntiFA, hyperagamy, free speech being literally beaten down, etc. Pick your poison.

I know that such things have happened in the past, but it just seems like they're all happening RIGHT NOW instead of one shock at a time. Any theories as to why that might be?

Facepalm

...these apocalyptic threads.... Laugh

On one hand all of this could be true. But here's the more relevant issue:

Talking about these issues as some "major" decline just creates a crabs in the bucket "excuse" mentality that is then linked to personal issues that men can otherwise fix if they put effort into it.

Moral of the story: There is NO fucking decline if you make up for it through self improvement and overall personal development.

Action: Get over it, get a skill, approach more women, lift more, eat better. If you're not doing any of these then yes you will see a decline. Dont blame liberals or any others for it.

What cobra said.

If you don't do any of these self improvement things, then you will NOT be capable of surviving, say, a global oil shortage, or agricultural desertification, or any of a million other potential disasters.

If you sit and proselytize about these disasters all day, all you've done is "raise awareness", and we all know how useless that is.

Lead by example. Be a hero in your own story. Hell, Hercules trained night and day to be a champion, and he knew the fate the world would one day face. So train hard, play hard, and don't worry about Ragnarok. It'll come sooner or later, and you'll be ready for it.

RE: Is it Accelerating? (general decline of, well, everything)
I would say yes, it is accelerating. Or rather, everything is coming to a crisis point. However, I don't think we're unavoidably doomed to the current sickness forever. We may be approaching a Weimar moment for all of the former Western Civilization, but a large portion of the nations affected is highly opposed to this, and a large portion of humanity is non-western. This current period will pass, and the pendulum will swing back.

I think more traditional minded people will fight for and win the right to live the way they want, and all the freaks, bums and aliens will lose their fight to make traditional people act like these freaks are normal.

However, this could take many years to play out, and it will often be very messy and ugly. So, as Cobra and others have said, get your own life on point, and don't spend an excess amount of time dwelling on the sickness around you.

Some generations of Greeks and Romans thought that the young were an improvement. The reason we have the feeling that each generation is worse than the last is probably because it's true. At least there's less competition.

I wasn't asking in terms of personal survival, or game, or anything else, and I know of course that every period in history has had "OMG we're all gonna die" moments - I was just asking about the apparent rapid acceleration in the last couple of years of craziness. If I'm the only one who thinks things have been spiraling out of control faster and faster, that's fine, I just wanted to see if anyone else felt it and maybe had some thoughts as to why it might seem that way.

I think what you're seeing is what Rush Limbaugh calls the "drive-by media". They come in, hype the hell out of a non-event, then move on to the next one. With the 24 hour news cycle, it happens so often that it can feel like there are several major crises a day. It's mostly an illusion.

There's more money for trouble-making groups like BLM now so you see them more. I think the biggest problem is that local police seem to stand down during these violent protests. There was a time when you could shut down an antifa-type riot with relative ease, now you'll have your face on a hundred YT channels by the end of the day. Cops are scared of the optics.

RE: Is it Accelerating? (general decline of, well, everything)
I'll have to say the craziness in the world today gets me down, and I'm bothered by the loss of the culture I grew up in. I feel disoriented and stressed out by the way things have ended up.

I follow my own advice from my post above to focus on myself and to try to get my own life on point, but I frequently have to remind myself of this.

Humans are designed to live in a culture that provides cues on how to behave in most situations, but those cues are all broken now. We have to figure out how things really work, and go against the conflicting and fucked up cues that bombard us daily.

If we previously accepted the dominant culture and had to have our eyes opened as most of us have, it's a difficult process.

In the end though, you have to accept reality, and then focus on having your life locked down and optimized.

Don't worry.

RE: Is it Accelerating? (general decline of, well, everything)
Humanity is inherently flawed.
Therefore any human endeavour will either not be perfect or it will be flawed.

History demonstrates that every empire which rises; eventually falls.
The only constant in life is change.

One caveat for "the West" however, is the level of technology we have that no other human civilization has ever had (that we know of).
Will that techonology aid us in easily navigating the fall of the West into the next system?
Or will that reliance on technology result in our fall being the hardest & heaviest in human history (that we know of) ?

The push for "globalism" coupled with technology may result in all spheres of the world merging as one.
No longer any particular notion of east or west. Just a mass of humanity & human civilization. Ala Blade Runner.

Yet even then. Humanity is inherently flawed & no human endeavour will ever be perfect.

"Any human system is only as viable as the minimum wage schmuck behind the console."

Dude what? What do you mean inherently flawed? Flawed compared to what?
There ain't been nothing like us humans before, we conquered EVERY SINGLE THING that actually matters to our existence. Food? bro we grow food from dirt and shit, as in poop+dirt=FOOD, we control the entire existence of species ours bitch. We buy pieces of animal legs from the grocery mart, which animal's leg's? What animal legs? Fuckin pick a SPECIES and we made them our bitches. Dude we mixed up quicklime and rocks and covered millions square miles just so we can drive our fuckin AUTOMOBILE's around powered by million-year-dead bitch-juice.

We made micro organisms that fuck our blood streams up OUR BITCHES. We even made micro organisms to fuck up those micro organisms that fuck us up, how pimp can you get from that? Shit you can't even SEE is makin us money just cause we want to ride jet skis on lakes of water that don't even exist yet. Know what I mean?

Really man, we went to the closest piece of rock next to us cosmetically speakin, we put some boot prints on that bitch an we aint never been back cause who the fuck cares, nothing there that actually helps us get further (in the actual scheme of things, if we found mars fuel there, we'd already made it the slut that dreams of our cocks.

Name some other species who even even thought that shit in a fever dream. And I type all this shit out on a keyboard made out of processed dinosaur dna. I may be slow fuck, but come on, I'm a slow fuck that is part of a species that conquered every single thing about living life on a spinnin planet around a star floating through a galaxy that got sprayed out of black anus that was one of a billion other black anuses (anus-i?) that are floating through our ultimate understanding of the actual univerese, and i mean that shit where it's a green radioactive background noise from the known edges.

Not even Star Trek ass peaceful omnipotent aliens even though of the shit we make just because.
I think the JUICERO proves how much we will make the universe our fuckin bottom bitch, the only thing that betleguise system's planet #5's major satelite 2's organism's main goal of life will be is how our mountain dew extreme's will taste.

edit; Know what I mean mothafucka?

edit again: Yo I just typed out "mothafucka" on a piece of shit made out of dinosaur juice and copper and metal and shit. Name something within a billion light years that done something even close to that.

edit; Or maybe I need ti visit the drunk lounge.

And still humans are not perfect. Most of humans are monkeys just mimicking the achievements of a certain avant-garde front that propels evolution and advancement. Most of humans even drag us back by creating drama, demanding welfare, committing crimes, speaking nonsense, doing drugs, making or watching stupid TV shows and similar.

If all humans were living up to their potential - we would already have colonies on Moon and Mars, have first voyages to closest stars and general world wide peace, certainly no infighting about social justice and victim status.

The battle between forces within humans driving us forward and driving us backwards is real.

Some serious truth here, folks.

Five years ago, I gave up cable. Two years ago, I gave up TV altogether. My Facebook is a shell account and I don't have any other social media. I added CNN, MSNBC, porn sites, and some political blogs I regularly checked to a list of blocked sites on my phone & computer. I went back to lifting, cut the coffee, dairy, processed foods and added healthy fats to my diet. I started taking ice cold showers in the morning and stepped up the Game in a serious way.

Life's actually pretty sweet now.

^This

If you use social media a lot...facebook, twitter, whatever it may seem like the world is shouting, the world is burning, the world is inches from a nuclear/global warming/rioting/nazi/communist disaster. Turn it all off. All of it.

The worst thing going on today is the instant news craze. A horrible event happens 2000 miles away and you instantly hear/see it on your phone. After a few hours its as if you are right down the street from it. If you have a family with children there is an urge to flee. Anyone under this spell will presume the world is going to shit and everywhere everything is wrong.

If anything is in decline its the forced limitation of human primal instincts which eventually will snap like a rubber band.

Except, the point was not to "blame" humanity.
Rather, to be honest about the state of humanity.

Unless you know of a way in which to stop change?

Everybody can feel we are about to hit a fork in the road. I believe that fork is North Korea. I think NK is going to unload some shit on the world that will make hair stand on end. The world will survive but wont be the same. A Hiroshima/Nagasaki tier event but bigger and longer. The world will take pause.

RE: Is it Accelerating? (general decline of, well, everything)
OP, I agree it seems like there is an acceleration/congruence of events. But as many others have noted, there may be opportunity in this deemed downfall.

I am not endorsing the man, but look at Putin's rise upon the collapse of a world superpower, the former Soviet Union:

Putin's path: mid-level KGB goon doing CI work in Dresden, East Germany, Chief of Staff to Mayor of Russia's 2d largest city, to the Right Hand man of a drunken Premier (Yeltsin), to the head of the KGB's replacement agency (FSB), into the Kremlin himself.

This was a mid-level operator, from a modest background, without top-shelf credentials/connections, who found a way to win his way to the top. Talk about an asymmetrical response! Had he been left to climb the ranks of the USSR bureaucracy, he would likely be slugging away with another few like-minded tough guys for Deputy Assistant Director of the KGB's HR department or some such crap. Some/many people will respond by drowning in the bottle, etc. (see Russia's alcoholism rate), but some will have a rapid rise to the top.

As LBN said, start winning. Prepare your mind, body, and soul. Determine now that if some catastrophe happens, you will be in a position to not only survive, but thrive.

And if this oft-heralded catastrophe does not happen, well you still get to reap the rewards of being a high-quality man.

I don't think we are living in the worst times in human history, but we are certainly living in worse times than many of our parents/grandparents time. 50 years ago things were not as gloomy as they are now, and it can only get worse. This is kind of depressing, because for me - and I think most kids - it was always celebrated about how we were supposedly living in the best times. This is complete untruth. Even with all the latest tech gadgets out there today, it can never make up for how things have worsened in the last 50 years:

- Finding a dutiful and agreeable wife is harder than any other time. The amount of work you have to put in has never been greater for such little return (this forum is proof of this).
- Women obsessed and poisoned by social media. Women that are not raised to be sweet and good women. A cohort of women raised with ideas of sex in the city and government provided independence.
- Generally takes 2 incomes to support a good quality of living. The average man can no longer return from work to find your wife taking care of your home and children. No instead, the wife is busy doing meaningless administrative work and taking orders from another man.
- Immigration has gone insane. In Europe, they are literally being invaded by the 3rd world. In places like the USA and Canada, the white man gets a front row seat to becoming a minority in a country his people built. Any opposition to this is viciously attacked. The west must accept diversity while the rest of the world does not.
- Limp wrist beta faggots of your own race who go along with the poisonous leftist hatred of themselves and enable the replacement of your people.
- Congestion. Related to immigration and economies built to require infinite growth. People have never sat in rush hour traffic longer than they have today. People are literally wasting their lives away.
- House prices. No longer attainable like it was for our parents generation. You cannot simply start working and by a house at age 20 or 21 like was previously done. No, you will accumulate post secondary debt; you will then take a massive debt when you finally bite the bullet and buy a home.
- Leftist SJW degeneracy everywhere, being shoved in your face. Protests for tranny rights, protesting NFL players, people losing their job for speaking what's not politically correct, diversity seminars in the workplace, etc.
- Crap music like rap and hip hop being played on nearly every station. A generation raised on MTV degeneracy. 50 years ago music about bitches, hoes, money and excess was a not a thing. No, what was big were bands like the Beatles and Rolling Stones. Now you get obscene sluts like Arianna Grande singing about riding dick too hard that her vagina hurts. You get Drake singing about popping bottles and the clubs and spending money. And what about hollywood? I would argue even worse. It was bad before, but the propaganda has only gotten worse. This one is a little more subjective, but I would argue that the hip hop culture is bad for western culture.

So in conclusion, things are objectively worse off. And we aren't talking about anything that isn't that noticeable or avoidable. This shit is literally in your face 24/7, even when you do your best to unplug. Whether you're driving to work, at work, turning on the TV to relax, or looking for a woman worth settling down with, it's in your face like never before. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that any of us should walk around all unhappy and defected; I'm just saying that we've got to accept reality. I enjoy life plenty and carry on with things I enjoy, despite the decline. One can enjoy fucking a ton of skanks, traveling to new places, etc etc. That said, let's not kid ourselves about the reality of the situation.

RE: Is it Accelerating? (general decline of, well, everything)
There is the balance between:

1. "Fuck, everything is getting worse, every place I think of hunting for poosy has been played out or declined at a surprisingly rapid pace";

and

2. [Everything Cobra said].

I think it's unnecessary, unfair and unproductive self-criticism if one attributes the entirety of one's own results on factors relating to one's own efforts. External factors beyond one's control always have and always will play a huge part in success or failure. At the same time, personal accountability is important so that we don't just make excuses for things that we perhaps could control.
