The Stoic Warrior
I might be mistaken but many characters that men look up to are stoic (as in they are calm and know certain things are out of their control so they shouldn't worry or show emotion to it) and are also warriors

Examples of this to me are fictional characters like Bruce Wayne, James Bond, Jason Bourne, even john wick to a certain extent

characters who are passionate and emotional about ONE THING, but show little to no emotion or care to another

gaming examples might include: Commander Shepherd, Geralt of Rivia, etc

Is this philosophy stoic or something else?

Sorry about my english by the way

If you are asking about the ancient stoics, then yes having a passion for something and pursuing it was a stoic virtue. The stoics counseled men to hold back from emotional displays and accept that which is inevitable (death), but to strive hard against what they perceived as injustice by men.

Men like stoics because it displays emotional control. Women on the other hand hate stoics and laconics because they dont' radiate emotion.

When I was younger I lived near an military base and a ghetto. Many of the soldiers had been to Iraq and Afghanistan. These guys radiated masculine stoicism. They did Ok with women, but not great. The guys who were getting all the girls were the drug dealers and scumbags from the nearby ghetto.
