How are Wall Street, Monsanto, etc. actually powerful?
I've been aware of how bulge bracket banks, monsanto, soros in the likes control our country since middle school but im starting to wonder how I came to learn this/ if its actually true now that everybody talks about it like common knowledge but back in the day you kept quiet about that offline cause people thought you were crazy, but now people casually say it.
Quiet frankly im not trying to start a flame on big business thread or a debate thread. Im just curious how the whole idea of "oil money banker wars" and the likes have come about

Obviously irresponsibility(2008 crash) will be covered but thats not the concern of this thread. Im talking about what power moves are they making to qualify themselves as ultra evil conglomerates that do fucked up shit. Im not talking about mistakes driven by greed.

The way I see it wars have always been fought over economic interests, political interests etc that. Even glorious ww2 had its roots in oil. Men have always risked their lives for territory, money trade roots, etc for their country. What makes modern middle east wars so evil? If these wars are being fought for the econimic interests of our country and men volunteer to risk their lives for the econimic interests of their country what's wrong with that?
Nam was a money war,and I'd say thats wrong because many were drafted or joined up because they were gonna be drafted i'd say that its evil to draft for money wars. But volunteers fighting for the econimic interests of their country is what it is. Everybody wants modern comforts and the wheel has to be greesed.....im against the wars but looking at things practically....

So with those to things out of the way what makes banks, soros, and monsanto so horrible. I'm sure others like me share this blind hatred so give the run down.
Are we being mislead to hate hedge funds, goldmund, monsanto, etc to disguise what's actually going on?how are they destroying this country?

Usury.

Found the bug in the code.

The last few wars fought by the West haven't been fought for the economic interests of Western countries. In the most general sense, war is deleterious for the overall economic interests of most countries mainly because all-out conventional war strips a nation of its best and brightest componenet: the 18-35 generation, i.e. the future leaders, builders, and thinkers of the nation. We have no idea how many Edisons, Einsteins, Wittgensteins, or Hawkings were left so much meat on battlefields. War often advances technology, it's true, but the benefits of that technology often lag some distance behind. We went to the Moon during the Cold War, not the hot war.

More specifically, the last few wars in the West have been fought for the economic interests of large corporations who give back little, if anything, of value to the nations that sponsored those wars. Many corporations pay a pittance in taxation revenues, and their profits are at best only given out to shareholders, which in turn are usually large corporations themselves. Most of the downside of the war -- paying for the missiles, treating the veterans' blown-off limbs, treating the mental illnesses that result from it - has been shuffled down to ordinary men and women to pay for it, since taxation funds the VA and hospitals. The arms corporations, oil corporations, and aircraft corporations do not have to absorb any of this risk, since they pay a disproportionately small measure of the taxes required to pay for all this downside.

The belief economics are locked to a country's interests demonstrates that we are not capitalists or communists but mercantilists. That was the great evil that Adam Smith was preaching against when he wrote The Wealth of Nations, not communism or feudalism.

Remissas, discite, vivet.
God save us from people who mean well. -storm
