Applying the approaching method in business - Is this crazy?
I was thinking on how effective could be switching the approaching method from gaming to business. To all you great players, you probably know how effective is the approaching technique in gaming and you probably have noticed that the more you approach the more you are likely to fuck. I was thinking to apply this technique in business but im wondering if the more you approach (invest) in business, will you be more likely to be successful?

Obviously that in business you wont be as crazy as in gaming, you will be a little cautious with what you are going to invest. But basically my idea is that if you see a real business opportunity, it doesnt cost that much dollars to invest, there is demand for it, then you just decide to invest.

You also should have a limit in mind, businesses that will cost you a lot of money (more than 15k) then you really want to research before you get into it. But im thinking small businesses that could generate you good income every month (with start up costs around 1 to 2K).

What do you guys think about this, is this crazy? I think the people that truly succeed in business are the most daring people just like in gaming.

I would be glad to hear opinions.

Not crazy enough. I am in business and trying to transition from an employee to doing my own thing.

Gaming is EXACTLY like starting your own business.

Even my wing admitted, that I have been like a wolf ever since I've been trying to get my own business of the ground.

EXACT same principles apply.

One thing that is important is to be able to make split second decisions continuously kinda like with women as well. You can't think about it and after a while it becomes natural.

As you can see I am on this forum and dating sites etc all day while I run two businesses. My entire job is just making decisions and talking to people all day that I don't even pay attention to most the time.

You have to be able to see the future. I could look at a girl and almost tell you what her next five moves will be. I could look at my techs and tell you how long it will take them to come into my office and what the problem will be. I could tell them pitfalls upfront but, they won't listen until it hits.

Mistakes will be made. You need to be able to recover swiftly while looking good at the same time. It's just good business.

Overall I like the daily gamble of not knowing whats going to happen when I go to work in the morning. I could lose a grand or make four, you never know. One morning one of my guys was backing a Benz up and the door whipped open and fucked the fender paint etc. That costs!

Same goes with ass. Would you rather leave the house not knowing who you're gonna fuck today and give it your best or know even though it kinda sucks you got something steady coming in that's reliable.

Dude, its the law of averages. Hit on a 100 women, your chances of fucking are far higher than if you only hit on 10.

Make 100 cold calls and the chances of making a sale are higher than if you only made 10.

Its not game, its called the shotgun approach. Approaching is not a technique either, its a basic social skill. Just like cold calling is a skill you develop

The more you put into anything the more successful you will be. This is not related to game, its just a fact of life.

Ill be blunt. Its downright fucking retarded. Sorry. Smile

Guys, these get rich quick schemes with little money down or some hair brained scheme a drinking buddy comes up with are NOT the sort of things you want to get involved in. 15k investment? Unless you bought a truck for a dude to start a trucking company or a boat for mate to start a chartered fishing service, these sorts of "investments" are a waste of your time.

There is no money in them, the returns are shit and you have to put time in. Investing in someone elses small business is a waste of time unless that small business actually has the potential and planning to develop into something substantial. Like patents on products, assets that grow in value, annuity contracts, etc. What you are talking about is not business, its hucksters who talk too much.

Tons of 2k business opportunities where some dude is going to provide some service? WASTE OF TIME.

If you want to invest in small business or private business, join an angel foundation. You can get involved in financing genuine, well researched startups with most of the due diligence and research completed. You dont need millions, you can get involved with as little as 20k-30k.

Wiki entry that explains this in more detail

Do some research in your area, find a local angel club, find out what their deal is and what sort of minimums they are looking at.

It's no coincidence that salesmen tend to be better at game. Many of the same concepts (keep on approaching, target markets, the competition changes consumer behavior, etc) apply.

Honestly? Game has more value in business than it does in game.

I built my business before I got into all this stuff. What was funny about that was reading about approach anxiety. AA is non-existent for me, because years of cold-calling made it possible for me to say anything to anyone anytime.

When I went heavy into the books, I skipped over massive sections on approach because I already knew it from the business world. I suspect the same would apply going from game to business.

In many ways, it works better in business because the incentives are more obvious. You approach, you roll with the convo creating comfort and demonstrating your confidence, and then you get them to agree to a contract. Closing the contract is the big deal. It's the f-close. It's bigger than an f-close, because it puts food on your table, gas in your car, suits on your back, whiskey in your glass and eventually you have a lifestyle that attracts women. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

Game skills and early stage business relationship skills are almost 1-for-1 matches.

Lately i´ve been having the exact same thought. As a lawyer I see clients as targets. When I enter a conference room, the feeling is pretty much the same when I used to step foot in a club. The targets are all there. Aproach and close. You can number close, but the real F-close is when they pay you the fees. Pretty much the same shit.

If you're talking about sales, then yes it's very similar. If you're talking about investing money as a venture capitalist or starting your own business with your own money, almost no similarities.

If you're investing your own money into something, there is a long process of future projections, risk assessment, location scouting, demographic analysis, etc that goes along with opening your own business.

A business that doesn't at least do a rough version of these things will fail. Hell, a lot of businesses that do these things fail.

A business is ESSENTIALLY about sales. You cannot increase your market share without understanding sales strategies. Unless you have a product that sells itself, you still need to partake in business development (which is prospecting and selling your ideas and/or wares to clients.

Same thing with getting narni.

RE: Applying the approaching method in business - Is this crazy?
I´ve recently saw the film boiler room. In one part they talk about a private rebuttal book for sales done by an investment bank. Is there anything similar to business? Sex and money are obtained by the exact same way, selling. Whether it´s you or your product. Roosh teaches how to rebuttal shit tests from girls. It would be cool to have something like that for clients...

Getting girls, making sales, winning people over, its all the same shit.

People have to believe in you and believe in what your selling.

Life = Game
