Boston has been on my list for a while. I might make a trip out of it soon.

Where would you stay for best access to everything? AirBnB or Hotel?

What's the best area to do an dinner -> low key bar/lounge -> dance or other more up energy spot?

How do you get around? Car service or public transport?

Which spots in the city are good for day time work and people traffic? Guessing that coffee shops off the unis are pretty solid?

Honestly, if I was to be gaming in the states (I'll rent a good SUV -something like a range rover or a jeep) and go to very remote places in states like Virginia. It'll work out cheaper than boston (hotels and bars are shitty expensive). There are some real stunners in some of the remote locations I have stumbled upon. I'll focus on these since they it seems to me that they see more novelty on you than girls in the big city.

I haven't tried that so take my advice with a grain of salt. But judging from eye contacts and talking to really few girls. I'm not from the US too. So YMMV.

Not to derail the thread, but this is very bad advice. There are very, very few attractive women in rural areas in the U.S. Outside the cities, obesity rates have skyrocketed over the last twenty years. Attractive women live almost entirely in urban areas now.

The people were not rude (quite the other way around). But everyone was minding their own business and avoiding "eye contact". Honestly, this was the biggest cockblocker. You are sitting in a place and there are some reasonable targets but the woman (even the man) would avoid any possible eye contact. I can't make any moves (maybe I should have?) this way. I feel like I'm disturbing the calmness.

I don't know. I was not used to this kinda situations. It is my first time to boston/USA. So maybe things are a bit different here?

What you're describing is a northeast US thing, although it's most heavily manifested in New England (a group of 6 states in the very northeast of the US) and Boston as the largest city and epicenter of New England. The US is a large country and the people behave a bit differently depending on the region of the nation. However, there are some commonalities in how people behave.

You mad, bro?
I went to college with a lot of Massholes, further down the East Coast. Going to the pubs near campus was basically like stepping into Boston.
Buncha fuckin abrasive alcoholics. I feel comfortable generalizing because there were SO MANY dudes, and chicks, that fit that stereotype.
I'm a Midwesterner. It just not my style. At all.
And don't even get me started on St Patty's Day.

Nope, no need for me to be mad. I'm doing well here both in terms of women and my business. To recap, you are on a Boston nightlife datasheet 2018 thread, offering no spots to check out, bashing the city, based on the fact that you went to school with "a lot of Massholes," while generalizing Massholes as abrasive alcoholics.

So walk me through your thought process here? Respond to thread about nightlife of X city, bash it's residents, while offering nothing of value. Besides oozing bitterness, what exactly are you looking for? Props?

Like I said earlier, if you're not a fan of Boston, then don't visit/live here. I am not sure what your agenda might be, but good luck with all of that negative energy. Fortunately, the Midwesterners that I have encountered in Boston been some of the nicest, even keeled people.

If you are into Museums/Art Scene, here are a couple of interesting spots to check out:

MFA Late Nights: https://www.mfa.org/programs/series/mfa-late-nites

ICA First Fridays: https://www.icaboston.org/calendar/first-fridays

For meeting up with for drinks in Harvard Square, I recommend Noir.

For a friendly young professionals vibe/meet market: Clery's in the Back Bay

For a 30s-50s crowd: Oak Long Bar in the Copley Hotel (also in the Back Bay)

If anyone is visiting and has any questions, let me know and I'll be happy to help out.

Interestingly, I have been spending more time in New England cities outside Boston lately. I am talking about places like Providence, Portland, Lawrence, Lowell and Worcester due to business, however I always spend one weekend in the Bean.

RE: Boston, USA Nightlife Datasheet - 2018
BostonBMW, having lived in Boston (albeit a long time ago) and now living in Chicago myself, I can see what Savanarola is alluding to. I found Boston to be a highly provincial and inward looking place and not being from there, I was never really able to get used to the way people are there. People just aren't so easy going and easy to befriend there and I observed this same thing when I went for a visit not too long ago. There really is a stark difference between a place like Chicago and a place like Boston. As you've observed yourself, Midwesterners are easy to get along with and be chill with which is entirely different from the uptight nature of New Englanders.

Another thing too that I've noticed about Bostonians in general is that they kind of have this attitude that they are a cut above the rest of us rubes living in the "hinterland". Like they're more educated, more worldly and basically live in the center of the universe when in reality, I found most New Englanders to be pretty ignorant about the rest of the country, pretty poorly traveled and generally not nearly as smart as they think they are. I don't find that attitude in Chicago and people here are pretty aware about most other places in the US. Now I had a good time when I lived in Boston and I met my ex wife there but for me, I knew that I didn't want to live there long term, it just didn't fit my personality. The elitist liberalism of Boston didn't help me either. To each there own though of course and sounds like you've got the place figured out well and are making it work nicely for you.

Oh calm down. It's my opinion and I'm entitled to it - others here seem to agree, in case you haven't noticed. And negative, uptight, abrasive energy is exactly what I didn't/don't like about people from your city, which I experienced during my years living with literally a thousand Boston Irish classmates. By contrast, the Midwest region is filled with much friendlier people. It's where I'm from, it's how I live, and that's why I moved back here.

You do realize that there was an entire television program called Massholes? And it ran for 23 episodes? I didn't make up this stereotype, so don't get mad at me.

Fact is, I gave Boston a chance after college, three different visits. I disliked it more each time, and won't be going back.
Don't worry, y'all will survive without me. lol
Now, come visit Chicago to experience the BEST American city. Meet ya for drinks.

RE: Boston, USA Nightlife Datasheet - 2018
Hey guys, I've been in Boston for around a month. It is an interesting city but I find it hit-or-miss on most places. I'll share some details.

The ratio of guys/girls is generally bad. But on the other hand girls are pretty open for approaching. At least the average looking ones.

I run constant day game with not much number closes: 15-20 day game approaches a week resulted in 3 numbers which didn't go anywhere. I am opening during my normal day without specifically allocating time to approach: street, cafe, supermarket game mostly.

Tinder/Bumble is a hit or miss so I am not really doing any online gaming.

I don't see any details on the Sea Port area. I was at Committee bar on a Saturday and it was a good spot - packed, bad ratio, but 2 girls approached me (that never happens) and I approached 2-3 groups that didn't go anywhere. The one girl that approached me I got her number and the other one was below my threshold so I didn't bother. Guys are dressed up there.

It does look like guys are not aggressive and very "metrosexual" - well dressed, talk a good bit, look shy-ish and polished.

I saw a girl literally went to order a drink in the middle of 5 guys next to the bar. She chose to go there for a drink to get someone to talk to her. And one of the guys had a long chat + exchanged numbers. Ballsy girl but hey when they want to be approached they'll figure out a way.

I tried the Oak Long Bar - nice spot but super bad logistics for approaching: the bar has these big chairs that make things weird and people don't mingle much. I pulled a girl out of there though which was an interesting experience and she was way too eager to talk to me.

Expect most girls to ask what you do. Hypergamy?

Lolitas is nice - but may be for dates. Good atmosphere but I don't see it as a great spot for approaching - small bar, generally groups of people go there, couples so not much turnaround.

The Brahmin was interesting - wasn't packed, some girls but mostly guys. I went there two times and both times was a miss.

On Thursday night it was dead everywhere. I tried 4-5 bars and they were all dead: Lolitas, The Brahmin, Dillon's, Tavern in the Square. Strange but may be I don't know the cycle of the city and where to go out?

The W lounge in downtown is cool but the crowd is weird - too many guys.

I haven't checked the clubs yet but going clubbing Solo is probably not a good idea.

I played around with approaching during the garbage hour after the clubs closed and may be that's a good thing to explore - almost venue changed two girls on the street but didn't work out. I find that single girls don't really walk around during the night - they get Uber immediately or walk in groups of people.

If anyone is in the city and wants to get a drink let me know.

Why did you go to Boston? Seems like there are loads of cities better than Boston.

Every problem men have with women comes down to women not needing men. This explains why women can't love men like we love them. Disco_Volante explains it better than I can.

Business opportunities. I like it better than NYC in terms of walking around, cleanliness etc, but if we don't find what we are looking for we'll go to NYC next and possibly DC. Because of game I am curious about NYC now. I've been there many times as a stupid tourist and with my ex. So I have a bad opinion of the city. As a single guy I'm sure that opinion might change.

Lolita is a great place for a date if you want to eat and drink in a hip and lively environment. Eastern Standard, which is also in the Back Bay area, is another favorite place of mine for dates; in contrast to Lolita, this one's got more of a classy/laid back vibe.

The Back Bay area's got a lot of great bars - I would keep trying new venues. Chances are you'll find one that fits your game style / vibe. Another area to consider is Cambridge.

I like upscale restaurant bars where you can order a meal at the bar and check out the local talent - tend to be packed Thurs, Fri, Sat:

https://mistralbistro.com/

https://bastillekitchen.net/live-music/ Great Bar Restaurant Upstairs and talent up and downstairs...

https://alibiboston.com/ Liberty Hotel next to Mass General by Beacon Hill - a great Pricline.com 5 Star bargain when no conventions in town. Enormous Atrium and Martini Bar... looks like the old Charles Street Jail modernized... arrange a meet, buy her a drink and ask if she wants to try out some of your bondage gear in one of the cells/rooms... It works 50 Shades Trilogy sold over 100 Million copies for a reason.

Yeah that's what I figured. I have to do my own exploration. I'm not looking for anything special - trendy or not I want to be able to interact with the local girls. If the place is not conducive or empty then it doesn't serve my purpose. I wanted to use the data sheet as a start but it turns out that some of the places in the data sheet are a miss on the nights I tried them.

In reality it is honest work that one needs to put before you find a good spot. Each one of these places can have a great crowd on one of the nights during the week but how do you know which one and when?

Thanks for the recommendations. Personally I am not a fan of eating when I'm out gaming. I prefer cooking and eating at home. Drinking is fine but I find eating out makes me sleepy and not nimble enough. As my homie says all the time - you have to be hungry in order to stay in the game. Otherwise you get lethargic haha

Check out the third option, at least. I and my friends spent many nights partying and hanging out at Liberty Hotel. It has three main areas:

1. The upstairs lounge/hotel lobby (up the escalator): This area is pretty nice and has some seating around the walls. People typically stand in the middle and bar areas, drinking and socializing. There is rarely any actual dancing here.
Liberty Hotel is a former jail house, so it's pretty unique and beautiful on the inside.

2. The indoor lounge downstairs: This lounge is more like a club, and it's where most of the dancing and partying goes down. However, there's not a lot of space in here, and it gets packed - plus loud music. It's the grimiest part of Liberty. You can get some dance action here, and if you want to talk, ask her to come get a drink with you upstairs or the adjoining outdoor lounge.

3. The outdoor lounge downstairs: This is the outdoor area of the above lounge. This area is pretty big, and has a bar. It's a nice spot for talking and making out with your catch. The music isn't very loud here, so it's good for conversations.
It's probably still too cold for this area right now, as they typically keep it closed in the winter.

Liberty has a somewhat mixed crowd, so you'll see all kinds of people here. Though mostly the 22 - 35 crowd. Everyone typically dresses okay, as you can't get in dressed like a bum. Dress shirts are required for guys. And I think dress shoes as well (like many places in Boston). I've seen people come out of limousines and get turned right back, for wearing sneakers.

I haven't been to Liberty in a few years, but it was decent when it was one of our main spots. The ratio was generally acceptable there, and girls were always open to interaction and fun.

I second Liberty - it's a very unique venue. Pretty sure it used to be a jail and was later converted to a hotel.

Winter and early spring are the "dead" seasons in Boston. Once the winter thaws, so will the girls. Smile You'll get a lot more tourists in the summer tho because it's pretty well-known that that's the best season for visiting. If you game in the Back Bay area in the summer, you're going to bump into a lot of tourists. Newbury Street is a pretty decent place for both day and night gaming. The North End is generally less touristy so you'll find more local girls there.

Thanks for the suggestion for the Liberty hotel. I will definitely try it and post my observations. If nothing else it looks really cool.

The Fenway Park area (right on Boylston) is also a great place for both dating and gaming - it's got a ton of great bars and eateries with relaxed atmospheres. It's probably the best place to venue change in Boston. For those who are into Asians, especially Koreans, SOJUba has good drinks and food.

RE: Boston, USA Nightlife Datasheet - 2018
Boston is easily one of the greatest cities in the world, but I would suggest that it's far, far, far from the best in terms of picking up girls.

Of course I suppose that depends on your age. But Boston is the most East Coast of East Coast cities, and even small age differences in dating partners are not that common. It's also the classic example of entitled young women who are exactly what so many threads on this forum rail against. 8-10s are almost certainly going to be well nigh impossible to grab. That being said, there's something very Bostonian about getting super buzzed, trying your brains to pick up girls then failing miserably ;-)

In LA and SF, for example, I have dated girls a couple decades younger than me. Even once in NYC. I just can't see that happening with any regularity in Boston. It Is Just Not Done.

I was born and raised in the New England area and have spent the majority of life here, aside from a few short/intermediate term stints in other American states and cities. I will admit that New England and Boston specifically are areas that are close to my heart; however, I will attempt to take away my bias in this datasheet

The posts I've seen in the past about Boston have broken down the outskirt cities (Lowell, Lawrence, Andover, Cape, etc.) pretty well. Heck, even I learned a few things from these guys even though I've seen nearly every street corner in these small cities.

Reminder that this is focused on the nightlife of the city and ONS culture. Read another datasheet if you're looking for stuff to do

Boston 2018 Nightlife from a Native - Hipsters, Slutty College Girls, Small Ethnic Communities, Harvard/MIT nerds, beta males, and Liberalism to a whole new level

Boston Nightlife General:

For such a small city, Boston has a large quantity of bars/clubs and there is something for everyone. Clubbing, small-town Irish local bars, salsa bars, college bars, you name it. There is a large college population here and Bostonians are known to drink heavy, so that's probably what fuels the fire.

The nightlife here is really fun, because you have a mix of drunken undergraduate students, intellectual Harvard/MIT students, foreigners, young professionals, and the like. The nightlife is DOMINATED by the 20-25 year old age range and something crazy always goes down. If you're 30+(and look the like), you may feel a little out of place

I also lived in NYC for a bit and NYC beats Boston by miles in the nightlife scene, ONS culture, and beauty level of the chicks. But besides from any other major American city (LA + Miami, both of which I haven't been to), in my opinion, Boston is far ahead of any other city. There are an enormous quantity of bars/clubs and the city is pedestrian friendly, which is a huge plus in my book.

General game tactics:

Compared to NYC, you won't see as much pulling going on in the bars/clubs. When I was in NYC, I would see dudes constantly pulling women for ONS/ Doesn't happen as much here. But it does happen. I'll explain later on in this post.

Bars do close at 2 am so that is a major negative. Be ready for all nightlife venues to be packed by 11pm and get ready to make approaches early on in the night and pulling before the last-call cockblockers

Game on college girls:
- College students dominate the Boston nightlife scene. Boston college girls are liberal and are open to one night stands.
- You will at one point be asked where you go to school. If you look young enough to pull it off, say that you are an undergraduate students at XYZ college in Boston. If you looker of the older type, say you are a graduate/MBA student. The college girls are more likely to sleep with you if you are a college student rather than a working professional, just because it seems less foreign to them
- They are open and fun to speak to
- Extremely liberal

Game on the rest of the women out of college:
Apply general game here. The college women are much more open to conversations and ONS in my opinion

Competition:

Boston guys are generally good looking, rock a bro-ey style, know how to dress, and have strong talking game. Although in Cambridge (the city right next to Boston which houses MIT/Harvard), the dudes are much nerdier, uglier, hipster and beta.

I did notice that Boston guys are generally beta when it comes to approaching and will only commit to it once they are drunk. I did live in NYC for some time and noticed that NYC guys are much more aggressive when it comes to approaching and being persistent.

Another deficiency in with Boston guys is that while they have strong talking game, they aren't as aggressive in closing compared to NYC guys - Boston guys are just more chill, laid-back, and less daring when it comes to night game. I can see why though (has to do with the New England vibe). If you are aggressive, then you will beat out most of the male competition here

Exotic Value?

Hahahaha forget about it. Nonexistent. Raches of all different kinds here.

Places to go for ONS and craziness:

I don't want to overwhelm anyone with dozens of options, so here's a condensed list:

Brahmin: My absolute favorite. Two levels - first is with a bar and some dancing and the lower level is almost all dancing. This place isn't a pretentious club and has no cover. Drunken college girls everywhere and a mingling atmosphere

Whiskey Saigon: This is a club and has a huge dance floor. Mix of young professionals and college students. Really cool layout and unbelievably fun

Royale: A huge, fancy club. Incredibly large dancefloor, bar area, etc.

Any of the bars on Boylston: Shoutout to Pour House and Dillon's. Really fun atmosphere, packed, but no dance floor. Get ready for talking game

Any of the bars on Fenway: The great thing about Fenway is that there are more than a dozen bars on just one block and all of these bars are fully packed with college students and young professionals. House of Blues is a good one with dancing. Many other dancing bars. Great area to pull because you can bar hop easily

Overrated venues for ONS: Basically any place in Cambridge. Yeah, the bars are fun, alternative, edgy, etc. (Cambridge is full of hipsters), but don't expect a ONS at any of these places unless you're lucky. I just don't see the layout catering to the ONS/gaming culture. With that being said, it's possible (anywhere is possible in Boston to a certain degree) if you got a tight crew showing social status or you're just willing to make a godly amount of approaches. Based on my experiences, It's just hard for me to see the typical pretentious, feminist Harvard/MIT girl going for the ONS

Other honorable mentions for ONS:

Tavern in the Square (Allston): This is where all the BU/BC/Northeastern crew goes and it is a drunken shit show of college girls. It's all the way in Allston though, so pretty far from the downtown area

Sissy K's: Great vibe for mingling. But music is too loud and it has a trashy, touristy feel to it. I personally don't like this place but can possibly bang tourist girls. The Fanieul Hall bars in general are filled with tourists.

Ethnic girls:

The reality is that Boston is a pretty white city. There are a few neighborhoods that are dominated by different ethnicities, but the nightlife is terrible in these areas. But here's the breakdown just in case if you want to visit these neighborhoods

East Boston - Heavily Colombian, some Mexican, and other Latino
Roxbury/Dorchester - Caribbean and Black

If anyone is ever in the area, hit me up

Crash

+1. this is it, I live in Boston so this is definitely spot on.

Two things of key importance though -> 1. Show up early, strike early. The fact that most spots close down at 1:30-2am means you have to go for the kill before the swarm of locust cock put all girl's bitch shields up.

2. Tavern in the square Allston should be much higher on the list, especially if you're under 30. Thursday - Saturday this place slamming. I've been pretty successful here and have pulled at a very high ratio. In-fact its only been a week since I last slayed here Big Grin. Key is to be aggressive early on since 90+% of guys won't approach. Goodluck hunters.

some other spots not mentioned and worth checking out :
- Scholar's
- The W (if cougars are you're thing)
- Envoy Hotel, Scorpion Bar, most bars on the seaport
- Wonderbar in Allston
- La Fabrica Central (if youre heavy into latin chicks or can dance salsa/bachata/etc... then this is your goldmine)
- Ned Devine's (live bands and 3 different bar areas, more for talking game, less dancing)
- Royale
