It seems quite a stretch to me to conclude that women are more miserable than men on this data alone. I mean it might be so, but I just can't see how this can be concluded based on the methodology of this index, because it only measures how people feel about economy in general and their personal financial situation.

You don't need data from a survey. The more chicks you know & meet who are over 30 with no children & have never married will directly or indirectly tell you all you need to know.

Freedom & mass opportunity specifically, do not make women happy.

I reckon you've actually hit the nail on the head here... Women at 18-25 that I've met and known aren't any happier or unhappier than men in that age bracket.

Women in the 25-30 that are in a strong long term relationship are just as happy as men, regardless of relationship status but those without are starting to get a desperate element going.

Women that are 30+ that don't already have a family are a total mess. In contrast pretty much all the happiest men I know in this age bracket are single, everyone who is married is happy, the women are even hit and miss on that front as they try and chase the feminist goal of a career while neglecting their nature (ie. their children).

Basically feminism has pushed women to pursue things that nature did not intend for them the more they age while men, especially those who can ignore the noise, are going to keep doing what makes them happy, be that family or chasing tail and as you get into your 30s both of those become better and easier in general.

Maybe the problem is that companies like Bloomberg see us all as "consumers" and not humans. We exist beyond what we earn, what we buy, or what we watch. Suicides among the rich should tell us straight off that being able to "consume" doesn't make us happy.

As I said earlier, when you're so fat that you can't walk to the mailbox without getting sweaty and out-of-breath, you're miserable -- even with a million in the bank.

But I wouldn't expect the nice folks at the Bloomberg to give out surveys to women with questions like "So how does it feel to weight 200 pounds?" Unless they hire this guy to conduct their surveys:

RE: American Women Have Never Been More Miserable Relative To Men
Women are the true losers in the age of modern feminism. Their rates of depression, anxiety, and psychotropic dependency continues to increase. It hasn't been a picnic for men. It is more of a nuisance, something strong men can adapt to.

Modern feminist have betrayed their sisters through misleading indoctrinations that are not predicated on science. They have convinced women to give up their feminine essence for perceived power and independence that they are ill equipped to use, depriving them of nature's prescription for nurturance.

Fortunately there are a few feminists who are wise enough to recognize the toxic state of affairs. Camille Paglia, professor is one of them and a strong voice opposing the modern feminist agenda. She teamed up with Dr. Peterson in an interesting discussion. I don't have the link, but you can find it on Youtube.

From the article :

When Felicity met her now husband, there weren't any butterflies or fireworks.
He was Mr Average. But she was over the highs and lows of relationships with her usual type.
So when she met a "strange-looking, shy and odd" man at work, she decided to change things up.

"He might just be wonderful," she told her friend at the time. "We love the same things, we go hiking, we read books, and I just thought, 'I'm going to ask him out and see what happens'."
Does "settling for average" exist or is it just a reality of long-term monogamy? Listen to women discuss the toll time takes on relationships.
Felicity, 39, says it was a calculated move which led to a marriage based on "rapid-fire decision-making rather than love".

"It sounds so unromantic but [I thought] if it's going to be anyone I have a family with, it's going to be this guy, and if it's going to be this guy, then it may as well be now."
In a world where we're told to find our soulmate, "the one" or true love — it can put a lot of pressure on our seemingly average relationships.

So is there benefit in giving more credit to average?
Felicity thinks there is...

I imagine Felicity's 22 year old self is screaming in agony... Cool
