Matteo Salvini and Lega Nord
I was cautiously optimistic when he first became interior minister, but Matteo Salvini is looking more and more impressive.

Quote:“I promised to defend the borders and I am doing it with all my energy and all the means at my disposal,” said Italian interior minister Matteo Salvini Monday.
Salvini’s message came in response to Italian media reports that illegal immigration into Italy has been brought to a virtual standstill, with fewer than 2,000 migrants disembarking in Italian ports in the entire month of July. Last July the figure was over 11,000 while in 2016 the number was 23,552.

Also, Laugh :

Quote:A top minister in Italy’s anti-establishment government has provoked condemnation from rights groups after calling for the repeal of an anti-fascist law that criminalizes inciting racial violence and hatred, as well as bans support for groups that carry out hate crimes.

Law No. 205, commonly called the Mancino Law, was passed in 1993 as a means of prosecuting racist violence and hate speech. Italy’s family minister Lorenzo Fontana claimed in a Facebook post on Friday that the law was being used by “globalists” to promote “anti-Italian racism,” and should be abolished.

Fontana is a member of the far-right Lega party, which formed a coalition government with the anti-establishment Five Star party following Italy’s elections earlier this year. While Five Star won more seats, Lega and its leader Matteo Salvini have become the more prominent force in Italian politics since the vote and set about shifting the government’s policies to the right.

Salvini, who earlier this week tweeted a notorious quote from Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, has gleaned international attention after leading a government crackdown on migrant boat arrivals from Africa as well as clashing with the European Union over refugee policy.

The Lega leader said on Friday that he supports scrapping the anti-fascism law, but that it’s not a priority and the government has no immediate plans to try and repeal it. Five Star leader Luigi di Maio stated that the law wasn’t up for debate.

Italy, much like Germany, has extensive anti-discrimination and anti-fascism legislation that goes back to the period after World War II. Under the Mancino law, Italians who commit a crime can receive harsher sentences if the motive is deemed to be based on hatred of ethnicity, religion, nationality or race. The country also bans fascist propaganda if it is intended to revive the Fascist party.

The Lega and Five Star have both opposed efforts in recent years to strengthen restrictions on fascist symbols and rhetoric, while at the same time rights groups have raised concern over growing extremism and racism in Italy.

RE: Matteo Salvini and Lega Nord
I dated an Italian girl in Canada last year and we were talking about immigration, she herself is an immigrant to Italy from South America, she then expressed some concerns about the large number of Africans arriving there, then I showed her this video (which I believe that I first saw on here). We laughed of course, because it's pretty funny but after watching it she went on a bit of a rant along the lines of "these fuckers are nothing like my family, we came to Italy to work and contribute to society, all they do is take." She has since gone back to Italy but we still talk, I asked her about the recent changes in the politics there and she fully supports it. I miss her.

Italy is in a far better position than France, Britain and [to a lesser extent] Germany as there is no large population of non-Europeans with voting rights.

Almost all non-natives would vote against parties that safeguard the interests of the natives, as the worse cases of ethnonationalism have ended up hurting non-native minorities.

True, but there is a growing population of second-generation immigrants who can naturalise when they turn 18. The law needs to be tightened. I don't believe there should be any possibility of naturalisation in a nation state, other than by marriage to a citizen.

RE: Matteo Salvini and Lega Nord
I think Italy is in a unique position compared to countries, like Germany, GB or France. All of those countries historically had large migrant influxes, which were intended to bolster the work force, i.e. Turks in Germany in the 60s, people from the Commonwealth in GB during periods of industrial development.

Italy never had those streams, which is why their race is somewhat "purer". Just compare the soccer teams of those countries and the differences will be very evident.

Other countries are accustomed to intregrating immigrants and dealing with cultural differences within the country, probably to a fault, to be honest.

In addition, Italy's economic situation is in the doldrums at the moment. Spending more and more money on immigrants isn't helping that at all and is further frustrating the people, who would appreciate some help from the state before tending to the needs of random refugees, who just so happen to be lazy, won't contribute anything, aren't willing to learn the language etc.

< Nope. Italy will be White minority somewhere around 2050-2080. Things have changed tremendously in recent years.

And the "bolstering" of the work-force was elite created and utterly unnecessary to recruit non-Europeans. Any country could have pulled poor Italians and Spaniards during the peaks.

Italians are just more nationalist than other Western European nations. However - they are in the middle of a massive migration route, plus a huge tourism hub which can hide migration in itself.

Italy has no chance to remain Italian unless they go truly "far-right" and re-create real borders, leave the EU, roll out their navy to intercept all migrants, kick out 1-2 mio+ non-Euro immigrants. If they don't do that, then they will be lost sooner than even Sweden.

There is a lot of illegal unreported migration in Italy - hundreds of thousands who can survive on crime, drugs and transfer-payments from other countries.

Unless you consider tanned Italians non white, then a white minority even by 2080 is almost impossible.

True, Germany actually did bring in some Italian work force. The "issue" with bringing in workers from countries like Italy or Spain is that they have standards, as opposed to workers from Russia, Turkey etc. People from the latter countries just want to work, aren't really interested in improving their salaries or qualifactions or promotion within the company setting. Germany to this day still exploits foreign workers using a type of contract Germans would never agree on, unless they're school or university students.

And I agree that Italy should contemplate leaving the EU. Of course, there are still big question marks as to what would happen to their economy, but potential partners like the US, Russia, India, China would definitely offer some kinds of new opportunities and of course hope.

Italy has had those streams; they're far more diversified than what you see in other parts of Europe, but nonetheless they exist:
- Sikhs working in the dairy industry
- Algerians (mostly in Piedmont)
- Somalis descendents from Italy's short period of imperialism
- Chinese, especially in the North. Milan has a whole district that could easily be mistaken for Hong Kong.
- post-2004 Romanian influx
- Ukrainian labourers and mail-order whores

There's an 25-year delay in the statistics due to Italy's strict nationality law, but it's there and it's a ticking timebomb that needs to be diffused. Naturalisation needs to be eliminated except for blood descendents and spouses.

Fortunately there isn't a path to citizenship for children of illegal immigrants, but the third-generation will be eligible upon turning 18, unless the law is changed.

As far as illegal immigrants are concerned, there is some good news on that front: the Nigerian Mafia is starting to affect local mafia families... big mistake - powerful people are getting pissed off. The Carabineieri exist for a reason.

If the country needs to boost its population, it could easily achieve that by opening the doors to its South-American diaspora - last time I checked, there was a 20+ year waiting list for citizenship appointments at the Italian missions in Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, etc.

RE: Matteo Salvini and Lega Nord
According to Frame Games who has studied the issue of displacement, then Italy will turn ethnic minority Italian by 2050 and somewhere around 2060-2080 non-White. Some of the Whites like Albanians are certainly more hostile to Europe, so it's not entirely good.

And everyone is always always underestimating the age and fertility of immigrants. When 33% of under 30yo men are already non-Germans, then that will spell disaster especially since most of those 33% will have x-times the number of kids than the Germans - some even multiple wives all on Germans expense.

Italy is less cucked by population and attitude, but they would have to turn real far-right or very very 1940s nationalistic also leaving the EU to save the nation. And even then - the demographics are working against them and they would have to do some crazy measures like a 60% tax rate on single childless women over the age of 25. That tax rate would remain high until a married woman has 2 kids with an ethnic Italian or who can pass as Italian.

But no country has attempted such policies ever and the gap between what needs to be done and what is at best done is too big.

But don't take me wrong - Italy can at least make it. I have little hope for the rest of Western Europe except for Norway, Finland, maybe Denmark and Switzerland. Portugal may also make it.

It will be interesting to see the first countries falling and how the rest react to that - Sweden, France, Britain, Belgium, Netherlands descending into shitholes, later civil war. The ones that are by then still majority White and nationalistic might pull it off and militarize. Norway is already preparing for a collapse of Sweden and has announced to fortify their borders.

Even the fucking UN has published reports which state that they expect Sweden to drop 30 points in PISA numbers and other metrics. I wonder why? The enrichers are not the architects and engineers as advertised?

Well, I disagree that no country has ever attempted such policies... one needs only to peruse the history of the Soviet Union and that of Italy's Axis allies. Wink

But I generally agree - it's unlikely that sufficiently nationalistic policies will be implemented or that Italian women will step up to the task. However, there may be some hope in opening some European countries to their South American disaspora (see my previous post). That possibility is especially relevant to Italy, Spain and Portugal.

As for diaspora, many of the richer and older brazillians are moving over here to Portugal, the ones from the South naturally. Some however don't have Portuguese roots, they are Italian, German or even Dutch... but hey, they speak Portuguese too, so. Welcome!

At this time European countries can embrace a Pan-European identity. Even if 4 mio. Germans later move to small countries like Hungary, then Hungary will prevail with at least some kind of European country and nation.

The difference between the acid-FGM-rape-gang capitol of London and the European cities in EE will become ever more apparent.

We indeed can. I don't mind receiving some hundreds of thousand or even a million of other Europeans. This would be perfectly possible if the socialist scum in government and our corrupt State apparatus was exterminated. Though on it's own the free-market is already doing what it can to improve things on a few fronts while the corrupt state keeps racking up debt.

Salvini keeps on delivering:

One of the Lega Nord ministers in the current Italian cabinet - Lorenzo Fontana.

Quote:Fontana is widely considered a social conservative. He calls himself a "crusader" who fights against abortion, same-sex civil unions and stepchild adoption, which he considers as a "weakening of the family". He is also against "pro-LGBT" sexual education, stating that Vladimir Putin's Russia "is the reference for those who believe in a nationalist model of society". On 2 June 2018, the day after becoming minister, he added that "gay families do not exist".

He strongly opposes illegal immigration to Italy, claiming that it is, together with the "gay marriages and the so-called gender theory in schools", a serious threat that "aims to erase the Italian people along with their communities and traditions".

Quote:In 2018, he wrote the book "The empty cradle of civilization. At the origin of the crisis", about the risks related to demographic decline in Italy.

In August 2018, Fontana called for the repel of the Mancino Law an anti-fascist law saying the law was being used by “globalists” to promote “anti-Italian racism,” and should be abolished.

It's funny, I never had any real issue with gays, trannies or all that stuff when they kept it to themselves but their insistence on first making it mainstream and now on forcing it upon children has really triggered me to stand up against it. There are always going to be mentally ill people, they've existed forever and I doubt that's ever going to change but now we have sane people working with these mentally ill types in order to try and force people to not treat them as mentally ill but instead enlightened and higher beings.

It's just ridiculous, we're not out there saying schizophrenia is normal and kids should be encouraged to embrace it or hang around it.
