They're overrated people. Koreans haven't actually created anything of their own but mostly reverse engineered and copied western technology. They were able to do this successfully because wages and labor laws in Korea are among the worse in the world. The Chaebols (corporations) in Korea also cheat the system a lot too.

Culturally they're just copying older western trends. KPOP is mostly a big rip off from late 1990s pop music.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_et...old_income

Whereas when you see Koreans in western countries they can't hack it ~ a lot of them in America are underclass (much like Cambodian or Vietnamese) and if they do run a business then it's something like a convenience store or a gas station. They're actually less successful than other Asian groups like Chinese people.

RE: South Korea going Feminist
I dont' think flying horse is necessarily wrong, but he's sort of missing the point.

I think that letting the population slip down a bit should be something a nation decides to do for itself, not something that is slipped under the guise of feminism.

Even then, China is freaking out and talking about creating a tax on single people to redistribute money to people who want to have kids so they have enough bodies for a war with Ja--I mean consumption. Yes, consuming expensive Chinese goods.

Jordan

Anyway it's pretty funny that we're discussing this. I met a girl who went to USA for a few months and she was telling me that she realized that the Chinese rat race is bullshit. She actually said that to me.

They work so hard for so little when Americans work just as hard and have so much more. She's already planning her escape.

This chick has $$$ but TK is not wrong. Education in China is a massive zero-sum game. You'll meet some hyper-educated people here who make as much as English teachers and you'll meet tons of month breathers making 100,000 rmb a month because their parents are rich and can just grandfather them into senior positions.

If I were a local, I'd be a total criminal or something.

Why work hard to prop up a system that manipulates your currency to keep you poor, doesn't allow you access to tons of education materials and uses your own sense of familial piety against you to get you popping out more little useful idiots to keep the system going.

RE: South Korea going Feminist
^^Well that's hardly a Chinese issue.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_co...attainment

There's a lot of countries where adults are more educated than American people but wages and adjusted cost of living are terrible. If most Americans had to live with the money of a typical Russian then they would probably end up killing themselves.

Even when I lived in Korea, since I was teaching adults, I had to listen to a lot of adult students who would cry about the economic injustices of being Korean. Sure the Samsung Engineers make a bit of coin but that company only employs 100,000 in South Korea. Even then one could compare Samsung to Microsoft or Google and you can quickly see a huge discrepancy (the Samsung Engineer making $90,000 when his counterpart is likely clearing $400,000 in an office in San Francisco or Seattle).

To be frank most of the world sucks if you're not American in terms of the working world. Sure being a fastfood worker in America sucks but otherwise most jobs in America pay more or the cost of living is better (3000 sqf McMansions in Texas were going for $200,000 just a decade ago. When $200,000 doesn't get you much in other rich countries).

RE: South Korea going Feminist
< We don't need to be concerned about demographic losses as in the past. By past I mean times when 80% of the population was engaged in agriculture to feed the 100%.

Now it's closer to 4%. Even caring for the old is a bullshit excuse since that can be streamlined as well.

A tax on single people is actually a solid idea, though what would be better is to increase disposable income and wages of workers, but that would cut into the profits of the ruling class and they are going to push against it.

You have to realize that the Western labor laws were not given - they were brutally fought for, sometimes even depended on ethical businessmen who wanted to cut the workers in. Their height everywhere in the West was between the 1960s to 70s and has been deteriorating ever since then. The Chinese will likely never get the full Western benefits - not because their economic model would not allow for it, but because wages should be derived in a compromise of sound unions and employers and negotiations. If either one of those sides get too much of the upper hand, then it won't work:

[Image: individual_corporate_income_taxes_1934-2016.png]
The South Koreans as well the Chinese simply jumped in on current Western level - all without the first preliminary massive wage rises and protectionism that was prevalent from the 1940s-70s.

And the global elite intends to lower the Western real income even more.

[Image: 1024px-U.S._Hourly_Wages_-_Real_or_Adjus...4-2014.png]

And all these graphs are not even telling the full story - because in the 1960s the CEO made 50 times as much as the factory workers while the profits of the company were simply lower, but the share of the bounties were more evenly distributed among the employees. Now it's more common for corporations to have 10-50 bio. $ in cash, while they are still cutting costs on every fucking corner and even offshoring as much as possible to cheaper production countries.

Dickensian economies are shit.

but even South Korea feminists like all other South Koreans are anti-refugees and anti-Islam. In the west feminism is different but here feminist don't want to get raped and beaten by Muslims. most protests against refugees are from women and girls

South Korea had a Fascist President, who served in Japan's WW2 army as an officer, until 1979 and his daughter was the leader of the country very recently. So a lot of that Fascism influence still lingers on in Korea.

That's why SJW English Teachers in Korea are always whining about Korea being against drugs, LGBT and other left wing imports.

Remember Germany only went retarded some 45 to 55 years after Nazism. In Korea's case it's inevitably going to happen but not until the 2030s or 2040s.

The Feminists you see in Korea today, and even things like KPOP, are really the first wave of the changes that will eventually make Korea a Germany or Britain 2.0.

Actually the far-left anti-German We-the-worst-because-we-the-Nazis was implemented pretty much right off the bat. It was absolutely relentless and there was a huge Antifa communist movement in Germany in the 1970s. They had actual commie-terrorists then kidnapping and killing German businessmen! It has not started in the 1990s - German self-hatred was done long before that.

I doubt that South Korea will go down that path in 2030-40 when ever more Euro-countries have become rape-crime-and-terror infested shitholes.

It's easy to wave Refugees Welcome banners when you don't have observed another country raped and destroyed by the very same refugees. Afterwards only the clinically insane come out for it. So no - South Korea won't become Germany in 12 years.

RE: South Korea going Feminist
I mean this is a perfect encapsulation of what korean feminists are like.

As you are proabably aware all korean men have to serve in the army for 19 or so months before they turn 28, their prime earning years as well as a blatantly sexist law.

So one of the few "perks" of being forcibly conscripted is having the occassional girl group or female singer do a performance at the base, similar to the USO in America.

A sexy female fitness model performs for the troops, its uploaded online and korean feminists get wind of it and quickly make a petition to ban such sexist performances in the future.

Quote:By 5 p.m. on Monday, more than 15,000 had signed an online petition filed Friday asking the presidential office to ban future military performances. Another petition in opposition started on the website Monday asked the government to "not be swayed by feminist groups and restore Army to its natural state." The latter had garnered less than 10 signatories.

If an online petition posted on the Cheong Wa Dae website garners more than 200,000 signatures within 30 days, the presidential office is required to issue a formal response.

Following the public uproar, the Army’s Capital Defense Command issued an official apology Monday, saying the controversial performance was put together and hosted by a private organization and the Army had no previous knowledge of the details of the program.

So in summary korean women don't have to serve in the army while men do. No only do they show no gratitude or awareness of this but quite the opposite they're just as shrill as western feminists.

http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20180820000780

I have no doubt if there was a war where men from a western country were to become conscripted it would not change the behavior of western feminists at all based on what you see in South Korea. There would be no soul searching over the paradox of society being incredibly misogynist but only drafting men for one of the most horrible things you can participate in: a war.

RE: South Korea going Feminist
As someone who has lived and worked in Asia, out of all the East Asian countries, South Korea in my opinion seems to be the most influenced by feminism. That being said, as other posters have pointed out, South Korea is still nowhere near as bad as most western countries. Woman in Korea are still slim, feminine and like to dress up. It's still possible to find sweet traditional woman and degeneracies like tattoos, single motherhood, transgenderism etc, are still taboo and highly discouraged. All in all, South Korea is far from being a feminist wasteland.

That being said, South Korean feminist have to be some of the scariest, most fucked up group I have ever seen. God help South Korean men if this demented bunch ever gain power in their society. For those of you who don't know, there was this feminist site in Korea called "Megalia." It was a site for radical feminist, where misandry is actively encouraged. Users on the site would post pictures of mutilated male penises, mock male Korean soldiers who were protecting their asses, and try to get porn sites shut down because they were "misogynistic." There was even an incident of female pedophiles describing in detail their desire to assault male children to get back at men over their "obsession" with youth in women. Not making this up, you can look all this up for yourself.

There have other sites that have derived from Megalia, including a site called Womad. The site came under hot water last year after a user on their site admitted to raping an Australian boy. Rather then call the police like any sane human being would do after reading someone confess to child rape, many users on the site actually wrote in support of the confessed child rapist, with some even offering to pay her to watch video of the assault. Again I am not making this up, you can look up this story online. Police in Australia eventually arrested the woman, and some South Korean feminist made tumblr blogs in show of support for her as well as petitions.

Man hating on Womad is so extreme that police in the past have investigated the site because many of their users would advocate killing men in gruesome ways. I think some already mentioned the most recent scandal where a user uploaded a picture of a nude South Korean model. As you can tell, just like in the West, most South Korean feminist are mentally ill who are simply using feminism as a clutch in order to mask their own personal problems.

Thankfully these women remain a fringe group, but man do they really take the whole man hating thing to a next level. Its really strange to me too because Japan on the other hand has a lot of the same problems as South Korea but it is largely feminist free. I wonder why South Korea has been at all East Asian countries the most influenced by feminism? Is it Christianity?

Probably - this fostering of empathy and self-guilt by Christianity can be easily manipulated.

The Church I was forced to attend by my boss was obsessed with sponsoring and helping out immigrants from India and the rest of Asia. So it wouldn't surprise me if they're also in favor of Muslim immigration.

Churches for a long time have always been one of the biggest backers of demographic change (but the people they are targeting don't really convert to Christianity in the long run).

The 500,000 or so Koreans that were all protesting the Jeju Arab refugees probably aren't Church goers.

The Christian churches were very shitlord and ethno-centric up until some 100 years ago. Sometimes it was only as late as as the 1960s where a massive shift happened. Any big organization can be infiltrated and changed over time.

Yes in the 1960s.

Evangelical, Non-Denominational, and various varieties of Pentecostal churches became more or less a "Come as you are" stylized church, but once people got in, they "Stayed as they were" in many ways. They focus more on the spiritual aspects of Christianity and remain largely ignorant on scripture. All of which gave way to the Prosperity Gospel type of denominations you see today. Korea is not quite megachurch central YET. They will be there soon enough though.

While these kinds of churches and revival movements did much more good than harm, an unintended side effect was sped up feminism and liberal ideals, such as globalism and kinds of multiculturalism.

It's so bad at times you can be in one of these churches and they might show you a graph of places in the world where Christians are getting killed, challenges they are having with missions work, etc. but almost NEVER will they address the big elephant in the room that it is Muslims doing the killing, let alone WHY. You have to piece it together yourself, because talking about blood and guts isn't fun and won't make people moonwalk to the altar to drop in 20 dollars for missions work.

Another unspoken aspect is that these kinds of Christians strongly believe that people like that can be delivered. Your chances of finding a pastor from these denominations that will warn you not to try and convert a Muslim can probably be counted on two hands. The rest give delusions of grandeur that are honestly dangerous and lack common sense. Hence why ministry types are never pro-borders or against any form of immigration from anywhere. Their love for the fellow man blinds them, when the Bible states the opposite in several places. Again, goes back to too much spirituality and not enough scripture knowledge.
