How Australia dealt with illegal immigration
This was rejected by ROK, so I decided to post it here

Illegal immigrantion is one of the favorite topics in the manosphere, as well as here on ROK. It was discussed back and forth, in multiple contexts - cultural, financial, sociological and more. Further discussions were on what to do about it, offering multiple suggestions.

That is why it is important to look at a case study more successful handling of this problem. As an Israeli, I would point to our own successful wall, but Israel is not a good case for Europe and the US. We are a small country, and the problems we face are not the same. That is why I my turn the focus to Australia.

Australia is part of the Anglosphere, has a constitution and issues similar to other western nations, and that is why it is a good case study for handling illegal immigration.

In 2013, Tony Abbot was elected PM on behalf of the Conservative liberals (I laughed too). His campaign promise was "Stop The Boats". Great minds seem to think alike, as Italy is using the same slogan. Even the EU is now thinking of adopting the Australian model.

Background
In 2001 the Norwegian freighter MV Tampa was refused enter to Australia after it rescued 433 Afghans in international waters, defying the UN "international law". This started a process in which "refugees" were first taken to Micronesia for clarifications first and then resettlement (if they meet the criteria).

It took several years and law legislation to start the process. However, just having laws is not enough. Before 2013, the left was in power. That meant that the law was "less enforced" and the Australian government was more "merciful". You know why? because it was headed by a woman (Julia Gillard) who was "pressured" to release migrants women and children.

How to stop immigration - Australian style
The first thing you do in order to support a policy is to commit to it, and not just verbally. This happened in 2013, as Abbot became PM. He ran under the "Stop the boats" platform and won. The next thing is to start utilizing resources, in this case - the Navy.
[Image: boatpeople-bb0jjaiuezigrwbuzi2_fct1080x8...77x380.jpg]

The Navy was mobilized to stop the boats. This  was called "Operation Sovereign Borders" in which Australia actually uphold the law excising the mainland from migration, and the other "anti-migration" laws. They also talked less and did more, reminding us of the famous moto: "When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk". This is also meant keeping a lid on it. This was in order to achieve surprise (not giving info on methods so the professional smugglers won't find ways to overcome it) and also to back up the organisation involved (less press = less pressure on the people actually doing the job).

There was also a clear main principle - Nobody stays. If you were caught, you would be out of the mainland within 48 hours. This was also made clear on a dedicated YouTube channel, in multiple languages.
The current consensus on that policy is Success. That is why the usual suspects calls it Racist, inhuman, Cruel and all the regular pronouns. That did not seem to move the Ozzies one bit. That reminds us that maintaining frame is also a major part.

Conclusion
Illegal immigrants is still a major problem. I fail to see how the "multi-cultural" Europe will follow Australia. For example, the new government seeks to add something that was discussed at length on the manosphere - "Value test". This means that migrants entering Australia will need to answer questions like: "Is it OK to hit your wife?" (We know that sometime it is a good thing) or "Do you believe that democracy is a good thing?" (Again - sometimes). We all know that in order to assimilate migrants, they need to have as close as possible set of values. Good luck with that in Europe.

The Australian model is the first major step in the path to maintaining Western culture. If it is not doomed yet.

As an island continent/nation, Australia has it easy compared to the vanguard of European states and the USA (and to a much lesser extent Canada).

So according to the Wiki article 698 people were sent back home from 2013 to 2016. That's less than officially arrive in Europe every single day. As Scorpio mentioned, this works nicely, if you live somewhere far far away.

RE: How Australia dealt with illegal immigration
Stopping the boats is a sideshow. Thousands more migrants of questionable use or loyalty to this country arrive by 747 than ever arrived by leaky smuggler boat. All of this rubbish about Australia being "tough" on migrants misses the fact that we do pretty much exactly what the H1-B visa does in the United States: bring dodgy people across to "fill" "holes" in the "workforce" that "Australians" apparently "don't want" to do (mainly because we are fetishising a university education over here, just as the Americans do).

The stream of new people would be going even faster if the last ghosts of the union movement in Australia - the Right-aligned ones, that is - were not still kicking against all-out importation of low-education or low-use people to take Australian jobs. (The Left aligned unions -- i.e. the ones that got people like Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd into power -- are made up of large migrant populations, and therefore want open borders more than anyone else.)

In 2015-2016, several years into the "Stop the Boats" roadshow, Australia took just over 200,000 migrants. That's in one year. Of those, 17,000 were humanitarian cases, i.e. refugees. 60,000 more came under our ludicrous family resettlement scheme. 128,000 were "skilled" migrants, apparently. Of those 128,000 or so, about 85,000 were under the 457 visa, the supposedly "fixed term" visa where you can only stay for 4 years. What they don't tell you is that you're eligible to apply for permanent residency in this country after about 2 years on a 457 visa, so long as you have an employer willing to sponsor you here. This is one of the biggest backdoors into this country so long as you happen to have a qualification that is said to be of "need", about which the Australian Parliament is laughably schizophrenic from year to year. Nurses, for example: we take thousands, usually from England or Ireland. Nursing is about the easiest fucking degree for even an IQ-90 cock-gobbling academic C-grade slut to pass, you can literally fail the fucking course and still manage to get your way into a job here, but apparently we still don't have enough of them. The degrees are a dime a dozen in this country.

But maybe part of the problem is the way higher education is slowly going the way of the US and becoming a cash register: we took 310,000 overseas students in 2015-2016, the last time we took this many was back in 2008 at the height of the GFC. Most of them are highly likely Chinese, who have no loyalty or ongoing intent to stay in this country. But they allow this because universities are permitted to charge full fees to overseas students - which in turn incentivises passing the stupid bastards even when they're not up to standard in order that the university keeps the money coming in.

The main reason dipshits don't come here over the Arafura Sea anymore is because we put them for near-concentration camp conditions off the Australian mainland where refugee advocate lawyers can't get them or have no power to feed them into Australia. If an asylum seeker can get his wet feet on Australian soil or on an Australian territory, he has recourse to the Australian courts (which have no skin in the game and don't care how underresourced Border Force is to check Ahmed The Refugee's story that he was supposedly a persecuted Christian back in Syria ... despite the ISIS tattoo he has on his back). All that Tony Abbot basically did was force through legislation that cut Christmas Island out of Australia for the purposes of immigration law, which meant people smugglers had to cross several thousand more miles before they scuttled their own boats and called the Australian Navy to "rescue" them. (Indeed it was a refugee boat foundering off Christmas Island in 2010 - under Kevin Rudd's tenure as PM - with bodies in the water, that was a potent reason for doing this. After that, even Labor knew it was hopelessly compromised on immigration, and, as with the Tampa Affair under John Howard, it handed the immigration issue to the Liberals to play bad cop at last.)

So, yeah. It's nice for the Australian Navy to have something to do with their big and basically irrelevant boys' toys, but it doesn't change the fact that all the silliness around smuggler boats is left for the public so people don't start asking the real questions about how this country can support the better number of 200,000 migrants every single year and still expect to keep this country's culture intact. Yes, it's a lot less than the million cultural enrichers across the Dardanelles to date, but we are a much smaller country too.

Remissas, discite, vivet.
God save us from people who mean well. -storm

RE: How Australia dealt with illegal immigration
Pretty much sums it up right there Paracelsus. I know I can see the difference from when I was a child to now, and the overall culture is definitely different.

I'm resigned to the Australia I grew up in is gone and never coming back. Not with the sheer scale of immigration both major parties have been pushing to keep economic "growth" over the last 20 years.

For all the "greatest PM ever" I lay the blame squarely at the feet of John Howard for starting this crap, not that anyone else has stopped it.

EDIT: Went away and thought about it, then came back started to edit, realized it was all ranty and left it at this.

RE: How Australia dealt with illegal immigration
The Leftist politicians want the white man marginalised because he's the only one that stands for liberty in any relevant numbers.

The centrist corporation sellouts masquerading as our political Right wing leaders get their marching orders from China, and are busy selling us into Chinese colony status.

The latter is regrettable but preferable to being swamped by barbarians.

A global financial crash with all its attendant horrors would still be better than any of the above.

God demands of Man responsibility. God demands of Woman vulnerability. These are their curse and blessing alike. Libertianism is to Man as Feminism is to Woman.

Isn't that the same land that was supposed to be shared with its then owners, the Palestinians in 1948?
Instead your people put up what the earlier inhabitants refer to as an aparheid wall to keep them out?

When you say your country, don't you mean state?

Agree with that...immigrants don't care about this country, they just come here because it's better than the shit holes they were born in.

Shame we are still importing a quarter of a million criminals, freeloaders, welfare cheats and Jihardi every single year.

Even the 120 IQ types only come to enrich themselves and largely have no loyalty to the country. I like to show military enlistment rates to make this point. In the US Indians are by far the highest earning ethnicity but almost never join the military (and vote 85-15 democrat).

Of course they do, Indian culture is completely and utterly corrupt, so they feel right at home with the Democratic leadership.
