What books should a young man read?
Hey guys pretty new to the forum, what books that you've read would you recommend a 20 year old man read or just any age man in general?

I read a book called The Diceman by Luke Rhinehart when I was just a little older than you
It really altered my perception of how things are and what the random nature of being is, a fun book and easy reading
At your age, books on investing may be the thing for you.
An entry level read is Buffetology written by his sister Mary. Got solid advice on share investing, also look into property investing books, there's plenty of them, get familiar with concepts like how to leverage money to make money buying property, some see it as a better investment vehicle than putting yourself in debt for a college degree for instance. With anything like that mate, always speak with your dad

I recommend the book "How to use the search function of any forum", it provides excellent in-depth advice on how a man can learn technical skills and use them to broaden his knowledge.

RE: What books should a young man read?
How To Win Friends And Influence People - Dale Carnegie (nice gentle intro on how to get the most out of social interactions)

Bachelor Pad Economics - Aaron Clarey - (Practical and easy to follow advice with no sugar-coating)

The Way Of Men - Jack Donovan - (Solid theories on what it means (and has always meant) to be a man)

If you get past The Way Of Men, you might .... just might be ready for ...

Might Is Right - Ragnar Redbeard (shocking, dangerous and stunningly brutal expose of the timeless workings of the world. 100 years old but still fresh as paint. Has the potential to make all other books redundant for you ..... if you can stomach it).

But yes, there's some already great threads already on this topic that can be searched for. Give them a go if you see nothing in this one that grabs you, as I know there's some gems in there that haven't been mentioned here yet.

In general, nothing that was written in the past seventy years or so. Anything that was written before then and is still being read is a decent chance of having something enduring to say, and it wasn't written for the current generation of narcissists.

The life's work of Roosh.

https://www.rooshvstore.com/special-offe...yparadise/

They're all on the older side of things but still entertaining to read on long flights when going on a love tourism trip with the intention to make romance to women (Roosh's words).
He had some very monotone narrator for the Bang and Daybang audiobooks which was hilarious.

Roosh himself said he narrated his Game audiobook himself this time.

I've read The Game by Neil Strauss but it wasn't as entertaining and it's far older.

Go back further. Anabasis, De Officiis, and Meditations.

Atlas Shrugged is also a must-read. While Rand's writing is angsty and her ideas not much more compatible with human nature than Marx, her central point, that there is a single knowable world and that we all have a responsibility to learn to live in it regardless of our feelings, is something to realize sooner rather than later.

RE: What books should a young man read?
I've read through these great books/posts. They'll help you get started with the game. A quick search based on your query produced results to these threads (ordered by creation date):
My personal recommendations are to read the Bible, specifically the Books of Exodus (all chapters), Leviticus (Chapters 11, 12, 15, 18-20 & 26), Proverbs (all chapters), Song of Songs/Solomon (all chapters), Ecclesiastes (all chapters) & all chapters from the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John. I also recommend the Book of Jasher. They contain the necessary wisdom for a young man to understand over time.

RE: What books should a young man read?
A few suggestions:

Fiction:
The Brothers Karamazov - Dostoevsky
Women - Charles Bukowsky
The Count of Monte Cristo - Dumas

Nonfiction:
Antifragile - Nassem Taleb
Think and Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill
What Every Body Is Saying - Joe Navarro

Surprisingly the things I learned from the book on body language have come in more use than almost any other book I've read...on dates, in business, and in life in general. That might not still be the best book on body language but learning those concepts early will make a huge difference in your social interactions.

Most of the important things in life can be learned in the childrens book "The Giving Tree."

Apart from that, the audio lecture "You're It" by Alan Watts that can be found on Audible.
