Question Supplements for healthy life style: Curcumin, Resveratrol, Theanine
I'm already taking Omega 3, D vitamin, Magnesium and multivitamn. I would like to try to take something else like: Resveratrol, Curcumin and Theanine.

Resveratrol seems having super properties anti aging, brain and eyes health etc, Curcumin approximately the same.

Resveratrol and Curcumin have benefits if taken together. I have heard also that resveratrol can also inhibit aromatase enzyme.

Does everyone have any experiences with those supplements, positive effects from them and dosage?

Nobody wants to help because you're lazy. There numerous supplement threads on this forum. Use the search feature.

This is from Chris Rock "I used to have horrible cars that would always end up broken down on the highway. When I tried to flag someone down, nobody stopped. But if I pushed my own car, other drivers would get out and push with me. If you want help, help yourself - people like to see that."

Since you are so laborious. Find some threads about resveratrol here that say something about effects and dosages.

Please don’t write anymore in my threads again. If you want just put the links threads you are talking about to prove you are right and I wasn’t able to find them.

Reservatrol might not be so safe actually. http://www.futurity.org/resveratrol-wine-heart/. It stimulates cortisol synthesis and is actually estrogenic, contrary to what the supplement industry has touted. The reason wine is healthy must be due to some combination of substances, not reservatrol per se.

Magnesium and Vitamin D are very important. To that I would add Taurine. Honestly, I don't see much benefit in turmeric due to its extremely low bioavailability. Another extremely undervalued supplement is niacinamide (a form of B3). Very effective at reducing cortisol, increasing insulin sensitivity, and blocking estrogen's aging effects.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah Vitamin D is important I keep my level around 70/80 ng/ml by taking 10.000 IU per day.

As for Magnesium I take water soluble Citrate form before bed 210 mg dosage. How much magnesium do you take? Which form do you use?

My doctor suggested me to take 420 mg dosage before bed, I tried but I was stunned day after in the morning. I have heard some people who take 1 gram or more per day.

As for Resveratrol I have read a lot of positive effects also that it can increase T, but I have also read that its molecular form is similar to estrogen one.

I take powder magnesium citrate as well; a scoop early in the day and a scoop before bed. It tastes horrible and I hate doing it though. There is a lot of research about how dangerous reservatrol is – the industry is touting it as a powerful antioxidant but I would avoid completely. Regarding testosterone, it is an aromatase inhibitor so should increase testosterone to some degree, but my belief is that long-term supplementation will likely cause high cortisol and that will effectively destroy your testosterone down the long run.

How much magnesium do you take? Which dosage in grams?

I have read books that were pro resveratrol David Perlmutter -a famous neurologist- suggests to take it as anti aging and brain booster

Why long term supplementation of resveratrol would cause high cortisol?

Magnesium Glycinate in powder form, of 200mg. May not be the best form. I have heard carbonate is good as well.

Some studies re: Reservatrol off the top of my head. There is pretty vast literature out there, however. I will have to look into Perlmutter's book, but there are other prominent researchers out there saying that reservatrol is dangerous – the jury might be out on this one. You're probably better off drinking a glass of red wine every night.

OP, a lot of the questions you ask are going to be best addressed by seeing a naturopath and getting blood work done. Most of us are not qualified to give dosage recommendations, much as we'd like to. Everyone is different. Starting with blood work is really the only way to know you're not going to create an imbalance. I did this, and was able to make diet and lifestyle adjustments accordingly.

FYI, black pepper is reported to improve bioavailability of curcumin, the most essential active ingredient of turmeric.
