RE: The NPC meme
This one is really good. It's almost a shame it didn't come for 2020 instead of 2018, but the fact that they're so keen on banning it shows how potent it is. The meme also dovetails with AB's old adage that leftists are ruled by irrationalism, emotionalism, and symbolism. Those are the things that tilt their programming.

Everyone has their own mental programming of course (no one is actually rational), but with NPC's the programming is much easier to tinker with. While people like us will usually try to give you a reason for our decisions on what to do and believe, they'll cite symbols or emotions. For example, open borders cultists citing the Statue of Liberty as the reason for their thoughts.

In other news, Kanye actually had a good video the other day that lines up with this meme.

If you're referring to a recent critique of a forum member, he was asking people to perform a variety of functions that would be quite useful, on his schedule, at his locations, and offering good green for a party job. I didn't see anything wrong with it, it made a lot of sense to me and if I had a lot of money floating around and similar goals, would have no problem doing the same. I've got a lot of successful friends, but I'm the first one from my circle to achieve a location independent lifestyle, if I wanted anything like the circle I'm used at home at an overseas location, I would certainly have to finance it if I hadn't had the years (decades) it took to build it up at home.

The peer pressure is real with this, though most of it spreads through osmosis of media, entertainment and then strong reinforcement - final gulag-indoctrination in college.

Then the path to the NPC side is complete.

The actual liberal military NPCs are in two camps - annoying but have better things to do with their time or are actually like these NPCs.

NPC isn't a race, religion or gender, its a - thing - and you cant really fight against something like that.

With Pepe it can be attributed to racists. With the Jew-hands-rubbing-together meme its the same thing along with ((())).

With this meme anybody is fair game because its just a very good visual kill-shot along the lines of "useful idiot". A picture says more than words ever could.

RE: The NPC meme
As useful and appropriate as the NPC meme might be at this time, I can't help but wonder if being an NPC is the natural state of humanity.

For much of history, most people had to keep their heads down and avoid being the tallest blade of grass in the field. Even in a relatively civilized place like ancient Greece, Socrates was killed when he tried to teach people how to think critically and question things. It wouldn't surprise me that the tendency to be an NPC is in our DNA, since those who acted otherwise were removed from the gene pool. I've read elsewhere on this forum that modern Europeans are less violent due to the execution of murderers culling violent tendencies from the gene pool, so it's not unreasonable to expect nonconformist, critical thinking tendencies to have been similarly removed.

The only difference is that today, there is so much more programming of the masses by the elites: through TV, movies, internet, ads. This is a necessary step by the elites to maintain control in a democratic society: they can't just kill people for their beliefs, so instead they bombard the masses with media programming to instill the right set of beliefs.

In short, the NPCs were not created by the elites, they are simply fertile minds waiting to be programmed by whatever societal indoctrination machine that comes along.

If this is true, then it really calls into one of the great sacred cows of modern society: universal suffrage. If the masses are so easily led into groupthink, then why are they all given a vote without any kind of qualifications or selective filters?

As I noted before - yes - most humans have always been NPCs being shaped by their basic biology plus the society around them, education (if there was one), art and mostly religion.

However - the current batch of NPC programming is a bit special.
It's designed to wipe especially the Western societies out - that is very very new, since the elite in the past were not interested in that.
Second - it's being deliberately insane - even more than in the past. In the past most insanity happened because of some strange rumor that got out of hand, superstition or idea of some church leader or ruler. While this is true today, it's bad especially when you compare it to saner times from 1900-1960. Yes - even the war periods were saner from a sociology viewpoint. The basic framework of life and family was much more sane between 1800-1960s even despite the many faults.

The NPC meme is thus helpful because it shows a mirror to the NPCs to at least break free of some of the negative elite-created conditioning - all while thinking that they are special and unique.

If voting really was revolutionary and dangerous to the elite, then it would be forbidden. The elite has found means to manipulate the masses well enough - even a long time ago despite being initially afraid of a public vote.

RE: The NPC meme
This whole NPC meme reminds me of my favorite motive of existential philosophy - Martin Heidegger's authentic and inauthentic existence.

In short - you have inauthentic existence when all your decisions are based on evaluations which are imposed upon you from outside of your thinking process. For instance, from family, society, peers, pop-culture etc. If you do something "because someone else doing it and it must be right", then it is inauthentic, you don't exist for real.

And therefore, to exist authentically, you need to overcome these outside evaluations (programming) and evaluate the world for your self. Its a process, just like you would have to achieve your real freedom by your own effort.

NPC are those without the capacity to achieve freedom, but people like this always were a majority, and it happens with any sort of beliefs.

What would be new, is that nowadays NPCs believe in set of views obviously against their own interests.

"What this means can perhaps be brought out by considering moral evaluations. In keeping my promise I act in accord with duty; and if I keep it because it is my duty, I also act morally (according to Kant) because I am acting for the sake of duty. But existentially there is still a further evaluation to be made. My moral act is inauthentic if, in keeping my promise for the sake of duty, I do so because that is what “one” does (what “moral people” do). But I can do the same thing authentically if, in keeping my promise for the sake of duty, acting this way is something I choose as my own, something to which, apart from its social sanction, I commit myself. Similarly, doing the right thing from a fixed and stable character—which virtue ethics considers a condition of the good—is not beyond the reach of existential evaluation: such character may simply be a product of my tendency to “do what one does,” including feeling “the right way” about things and betaking myself in appropriate ways as one is expected to do. But such character might also be a reflection of my choice of myself, a commitment I make to be a person of this sort. In both cases I have succeeded in being good; only in the latter case, however, have I succeeded in being myself".

RE: The NPC meme
It's true that people have always been NPCs, consider Plato's cave allegory, written 3000 years ago.

It perfectly describes the process of redpilling, including that the bluepilled will attack the redpilled who try to break them out of their ignorance.

Plato was a fascist because of this and wanted the strong, smart and beautiful to lead the masses, even going as far as advocating for forced breeding of this elite class. Incidentally, Plato inspired a lot of the current crop of elites, particularly Leo Strauss, the father of neoconservatism.

This is because the human condition is static and cyclical. Human life is an eternal, recurring fight to not degrade into mindless animality. We live such short lives that, by the time we figure out what life is about, death is not far off. The NPC is a regression, a throwback, to the talking, walking ape. Humanity is defined by permanence.

That's why the process of passing down our experience, in the form of tradition, culture and history, is the absolutely most important strength we have.

These, culture, tradition and history, are evolutionary adaptations that benefit us. Ideas don't last thousands of years unless they have value.

Which is why the elites do everything they can do keep us from culture, tradition and history. Why they want their year zero and a populace of consumerist, rootless cosmopolitans. Such people are, for all their outer shiny things, little more than primitive hunter gatherers on the dawn of man.

Less than that, because hunter gatherers venerated their forefathers. There are caves in France, which were used by these hunters, for 5000 years straight. An eternity by our measure of time. Consider that to our generation who will throw away thousands of years of history for short term gratification of cheap trinkets from China.

But if you accept tradition without thinking through it, you are still an NPC/nonauthentic, yet it might be good for many.
Also, traditions and traditional values might have value for the community, but not necessarily for an individual. One needs to figure it out.

But modern programming seems to be harmful both for an individual and community, that's is something new to deal with.

I think this is a given except for geniuses.

People accept most things without thinking. And questioning everything is not a good policy anyway, if you are to be a productive and moral member of society.

The only difference across civilizations and times is what type of programming is being fed to the common folk. It can be constructive or detrimental. I think we can all agree the West's current programming is extremely detrimental. But the fact that society needs to be programmed in one way or another, and that most people cannot escape that programming other than in trivial ways, is unavoidable - now and ever, and unto the ages of ages.

All of us are standing on the shoulders of a few thousand geniuses through history.

Only the best 150+ IQ people could ever rediscover traditional truths on their own in a single lifetime.

An 100 IQ and below average person stands no chance at all.

As you point out correctly, all tradition is not made equal. Islam is an effective tradition, their numbers are proof of it, but they do act very NPC like.

Western tradition on the other hand, is based on thinking things through and using rationality to arrive at truth and good. Which means that NPCs who adopt western tradition, will be programmed to learn how to not be programmed.

That's why the elites attack "dead white men", because those people taught rational thought.

I see it as the spectrum, so some level is definitely for geniuses, but as it is also a process, you never know what is the roof for you. And you don't have to be antitraditional to think through traditions for your own use.

But imagine the situation as we have nowadays when traditions are a bit outdated and need wise refreshment and mainstream is the melange of capitalists hedonism and leftist decadence. Intelligent individual needs to turn his head toward some other direction and luckily Europe offers her great civilizational heritage to internalize, so you can go your own path and make your personal value structure based on it.

Yeah, that's a good point, it all looks like this. But one thing I see different is you don't have to be a 150+ IQ genius to look through traditions and heritage for your own. Maybe you will not invent anything new, but definitely, you can find your path to become European, by which I mean one who has internalized heritage to some extent, and therefore know who he is and what are his real interests.

What better one can do in spite of great efforts to compromise European heritage?

Quote:you can go your own path and make your personal value structure based on it.

I think this is very dangerous, even for geniuses. Because we aren't perfect, and sometimes being smart is even more dangerous, as we are able to rationalize all our faults as virtues, all our weaknesses as strengths.

If however you trust that values must come from a higher, unchanging, perfect source (God), you have a framework to evaluate your actions regardless of how they benefit you. It's impartial, and can never be changed to suit your needs or desires.

Personally, I became stronger, more stable, less beta, when I stopped basing my life on my own value structure, and instead accepted the values handed from on high (Christianity). In the beginning a lot didn't make sense, didn't feel pleasurable and wasn't immediately beneficial. But I persevered. I had faith. But not just that, I had blind faith, which is harder.

A man must have a code but why reinvent the wheel?
