Kareem Hunt Assault Case
In case you haven't seen it yet - there's a few videos and descriptions (of the incident, and interviews of the woman and Hunt's friends) here:

https://www.kctv5.com/news/chiefs-kareem...ac56a.html

I don't follow the NFL, but thought this was worth commenting on.

I'll say the obvious first - a reasonable person doesn't support violence against anyone (men or women) unless it's in self defence or a matter of survival.

Hunt has been cut by his team and it's unclear if he will play again or not.

He deserves some type of punishment for this, for sure.

But, watch all three videos (of them interviewing the girl, the friends, and the actual incident) and then consider this:

- She allegedly was underage and was out drinking with Hunt at a club (presumably with drinks and a VIP section he provided for her and her friend)
- She allegedly call someone a ni**er when she was asked to leave Hunt's apartment
- The reasons for her being asked to leave the apartment range from Hunt finding out she was underage, to her refusing to hook up with one of Hunt's friends
- She allegedly hit one of Hunt's female friends when she was asked to leave
- She allegedly stood outside Hunt's door drunk, shouting at the people inside
- She allegedly was so drunk she left her phone inside Hunt's room
- She allegedly was standing down in the elevator foyer with her friend, and wouldn't leave before Hunt's friend came down to ask them why they wouldn't leave, and they said they had no money to get home. Hunt's friend allegedly gave her money for an Uber and at some point she allegedly got aggressive and grabbed at Hunt's friend's chain on his neck and snapped it
- Hunt came down at this point and you see what happened on the video

Some things to note on the video are:
- Hunt is standing still saying something to the woman, and the woman clearly comes into Hunt's personal space. Hunt pushes her (which he shouldn't have)
- The woman hits Hunt immediately in the face (which she shouldn't have)
- Hunt pushes a man at some point in the video (which he shouldn't have) and the woman happens to be behind him (it's unclear if this was intentional or not). The woman falls to the ground but she doesn't hit her head on anything (if you slow the video down, you'll clearly see that). She falls to her knees/shins, but grabs at her head like she's hit her head (she is probably in shock - which explains why she gets up and then squats down straight after to cry).
- Hunt does kick her at the end of the video (which he shouldn't have), but it should be noted it's a pretty light kick to the bottom of her leg

Watch the video of them interviewing the girl - look how much she plays the helpless victim. Consider watching this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SddZvNQOuFw . It might explain her behavior in her interview video - but I will give her some benefit of the doubt - a 19 year old girl in that situation would be pretty shaken up - but then again, she does seem like a good actress too (look at how quickly she snaps out of crying at about the 44 second mark to start rationally explaining the situation, and then turns on the tears again at the end of the video).

Then, watch the interview of Hunt's friends - look how calm and relaxed they are about recounting everything in a detailed way.

What am I trying to say by writing this post?

1. None of this should have happened. Violence is never the answer
2. There's two sides to every story - it looks like in this instance though, both parties have a fair bit of blame for what happened, from reading between the lines
3. Hunt has been penalised heavily, lost his job, and the media are all applauding it. It looks like his name and reputation are permanently tarnished
4. There is clearly toxic femininity in this instance by the woman (hitting Hunt and his friend, breaking Hunt's friend's chain) - in addition to vagina privilege (get invited to the club, to the apartment, getting free drinks etc), alleged racism (calling someone a ni**er), and playing the complete victim card very well (in the interview)
5. Nothing has happened to the woman yet - she likely won't lose her job and definitely won't be dragged through the media or shamed
6. Both Hunt and the woman are very young (19 and 23) - I think they both made bad mistakes in this case

The whole thing is a very interesting case, but a clear case of how everything else is thrown out the window the second a man lays a finger on a woman - however slight, and no matter what a woman has done

Once again, I don't support violence against women (or men), but - where are we going to end up as individuals and a society if we keep not putting any type of a check on what women say and do?

I will always listen to a man or woman who has been assaulted - and you give people due process and a fair trial.

But, would this have all turned out differently if men were given the option to report toxic femininity to the police for example and get a fair outcome so they don't have to deal with the matter themselves (when the drunk girl allegedly hit Hunt's friend and called them ni**ers, and then broke the friend's neck chain).

I'm not saying what the specific right outcome is to this - it's just an interesting case study of many different social issues that seem relevant now.

This is a thought piece more than anything for men (young men in particular) and women to consider (putting aside all the external factors like how high profile he is, that he plays in the NFL which is a huge business, how the media want to make headlines and money, the social and political climate etc.).

Football is a business, and in the current climate (hell probably throughout the history of the NFL) they had no choice but to cut him.

He’s too young to understand that when you are of a certain social status you have “goons” that deal with situations like this.

You think if I had his kind of money I would be responsible or even lift a finger to throw thots or unruly people out?

Where are his boys?

Now he’s going to lose millions of dollars over a stupid altercation. All that work down the drain for not setting yourself up right.

I think most of society would agree if a white guy calls a black guy a n1gger he deserves to get punched. Yet they're making the sex of the 'victim' the deciding factor of whether its deplorable or not. Women get a different set of rules.

Also hilarious hearing a lot of "men have an obligation to control their biological advantage and not use it against women" talk. Any discussion of womens' unique 'abilities' and the leverage it gets them over men is forbidden.

He was only making 700k on a rookie deal, its awful that nfl contracts can be cut at anytime. Other sports like baseball you can kill someone and they still have to pay your contract.

RE: Kareem Hunt Assault Case
The dude could've made better choices but the reality of the situation is:

This guy probably grew up in the hood and made it to the nfl. While he was in school he was king and had pussy of all flavors on his dick. However, the girls in school had something to lose if they got out of line ie. displeasing their parents for getting kicked out of school. These girls were trash. You can tell by the way they behaved the entire fucking time.

As stated above you have goons to deal with women. All women, not just hoodrats. If shit goes sideways you can claim they are paid private security for your party and they were told to leave. This whole situation would be a non-issue if he never went down stairs and stayed his dumb fucking ass in the apartment.

When you are a professional athlete you must move differently.
I suspect in the area where he grew up he probably had to fight hoodrats regularly, he doesn't even hesitate at all being physical with them. That type of behavior is learned growing up with ghetto chicks.

I feel sorry for the dude, but either he learns the lesson now or potentially ends up in jail down the line for really tuning up a girl.

Good point.

Now, if he is truly repentant maybe it would be nice to see the guy get a 2nd chance on another squad. I'm willing to wager that a LOT more old school NFL fans would be willing to excuse a guy like him for his mistake (as opposed to a Colin Kaepernick type) if he plays well on the field & behaves himself off the field moving forward.

If I owned an NFL team and my team was in the Superbowl, I would hire an army of prostitutes and see if one of them could get punched or shoved by one of the opposing team's players.

This case is different because he is arguably their best player or one of their top 3 players and kc was set up to get over the hump this year. Their fans must be devastated.

Plus he didn't even strike her. Completely unproportional response.

Cheifs should have said she was hurling the n word around and tresspassing so fuck that bitch and any other bitch that acts like that. If you support this woman you're probably n word. Turn it around.

Hunt assaulted someone earlier this summer:

https://www.mlive.com/sports/2018/06/nfl...gedly.html

Only reason I know this is because I've been to that island a couple times and my friend brought it to my attention. As with most of these cases, he probably did not have malicious intent, but he has a history of this behavior, which makes him appear even more culpable here.

These guys don't need to be partying at all. Just have some hoes come to their crib, sign a NDA and get at it. That's what I would do at least...

Oh, is it another "big dumb athlete gets in trouble for domestic violence/assault/bullshit woman-hate crime" episode? Where have I seen this one before?
C'mon Kareem. You should know how the media handles this kind of stuff. Good job self-sabotaging your career over some thot.

Brooooo....
I just watched the video. Before seeing the video and hearing that he kicked some girl while she was on the ground I was thinking to myself "damn thats fucked up" But watching the video I lol'd when he barley kicked her in the butt. That wasn't "brutal assault" come on man.

These hoes bro... what are they thinking when they challenge men to get physical? That they are gonna overpower a NFL player?? How are they so dumb as to think they can square up with any man what less a professional athlete...

I hope he signs with a new team and goes on to have a great career in the NFL

Also I just saw the video of her talking to the cops and played the victim role to the V

Where was that poor timid woman when she was puffing her chest out and hurling racial slurs at these dudes while squaring up with them?????

This shit writes itself

Kareem is a stud RB. I have no doubts he'll be back. I can see why the chiefs cut him because he lied but they have screwed their season.

I hate to say it, but as men, we are a lot to blame for the way women are.

Our desperation for sex, and our willingness to stay quiet on certain issues for status and money (to get sex and other things) has a huge part to play in it.

Both men and women need to change their behavior.
