Guys it’s ok that you prefer Asia because of your small penises and social awkwardness, nobody is perfect, I only go to Colombia because the cocaine is so cheap and such high quality.

RE: As a white guy, is a place like Manila still much easier than, say, Mexico City?
The more accurate comparison should be from somebody that dated a Dominican or Colombian chick for 6 months. I think then we can get a better idea of the LTR differences.

Also, I think you guys have met the wrong expats in Asia. I might've met one guy like you're describing. Most western guys I meet tend to be pretty normal dudes or just backpackers or party tourists if they're not in my circle. Hell, I've even met some corporate guys in Asia. Admittedly, I do think both regions attract different types of westerners. I think more laid back or introverted guys will be attracted to Asia. I'm a pretty introverted guy in real life and I find Asian chicks to be the most similar personality type for this, where I can be more myself and not have to be as much of a clown. Plenty of introverted guys in Asia get laid with decent chicks. Just have to stay firm in frame if you're going to be like that. Different body types too. Guys that like the slender look will be more drawn to Asia too versus a more thick frame.

Latin America from what I hear is the most extroverted region in the world, so it may just attract guys that like to be social 24/7. I tend to see those two personality types not clashing the best, so I can see how guys more attracted to LA might see the others as "more normal".

As far back as I could remember, I always wanted to be a player.

@ scotian

No, that's not it. The women in Asia are better. Silkier skin.

I also prefer MDMA to cocaine.

A lot of foreigners in Asia seem quite boring and introverted, and most that travel tend to do the same things, same backpacking routes, phi phi islands, samui etc.

Whereas the foreigners in Latin America are much more adventurous and also have higher budgets as well. I tend to click better with extroverted people.

One other note is, in Latin America the expats/ foreigners tend to party with locals, whereas in Asia it’s quite rare. If you go to LKF in HK on a weekday, you would see expats just hanging out by themselves, and not have that interaction like in Latin America. That is a big difference.

Maybe you can say there is less cultural excitement in Asia.

You are welcome. Whats culturally exciting for you personally? I assume you based in Manila? Having spent a month there, i didn't see anything thats so culturally exciting for me there, compared to Colombia. The city itself is alright, but it might be more suited for online/ tinder game people and getting notches. The nightlife is nowhere near as good as in Bogota, or even Cali. Music is pretty much generic American (the Katy Perry kind), whereas in Colombia you have more interesting local music. Furthermore, the music in Latin America has big influences in the States and around the world. You do hear people listening to Merengue and dancing to Salsa in the Western Hemisphere, and there are loads of influential Latin artists, but how many people listen to authentic Filipino music? Just look at the latest phenomenon "Despacito".

People actually dance well. The level of dancing at "Tin Tin Deo" is pretty high by global standards.

Food wise, Filipino food is pretty bland, compared to Colombia. While "chicken adobo" is ok, most people can't have it everyday. Thailand does have much better food though.

Language wise, no one is interested in learning Tagalo, whereas people are interested in learning Spanish. Although English is widely used, still if people aren't even interested in learning the local language, how can you understand and say you are passionate about a culture?

Thats just a few of the cultural differences. Another thing about culture is diversity, you have a lot of different races/ ethnicities in Latin America, whereas Asia is much more mono-culture, although there are some, but very few Spanish decent in Manila. Asian cultures also tend to be much more conformist (although less so in non- Confucian countries) , than the likes of western civilisation, where liberty, freedom, expression are much more encouraged, this makes a culture more dynamic and interesting.

To sum up, Philippines and Asia would be great for someone to get up their notch count, but if you are looking for a bit more fun and especially nightlife, Latin America wins. From someone coming from North America, Asia might be quite exciting still and much better than "anywhere outside NYC".

If its so culturally exciting, then why would the expats not mix with locals as much as in Latin cultures? The feeling i got there was expats were interested in their own bubbles.

I party a lot with locals when I'm in South America and I almost never do it when I'm in Asia. The reason is simply that Asians are on a completely different wavelength than Westerners (for the most part).

Culturally both continents have A LOT to offer but Philippines may be an exception... what culture, balut? Jolly bee? Haha.

That's another one of the reasons Manila is good for notches and not much else.

Manila - Girl might ignore you at a club because she doesn't want her friends knowing shes banging a foreigner, but will still come over to your apartment after to add another white cock notch.

Colombia - Girl wants to go out and party on the weekend, if you have a friend or two that you're hanging out with she will bring some of her hot friends so they can have their pick.

Don't forget petrol fumes, pick pockets, and not a single place to take a seat anywhere in the country, unless you pay for it. Sure, you can sit in the dirt, or on the concrete floor, or on the concrete steps, or on the nearest concrete ledge, but come on now.

Also, unlimited rice!

"Rice all you can, Sir!"

Versus Mexican food, which is among the best in the world, and inexpensive on top of that, and Mexican cultural offerings, which are also world-class. If not for the criminal element factor in Mexico caused by the breakdown in the American family structure and the resulting increase in American drug consumption, I would most likely be in Mexico right now.

The Phils, on the other hand, is basically safe as long as you take some elementary precautions. So that's a major plus compared to Mexico. In the Phils, you kind of have to look for trouble to find it. It's not as safe as America, but it's safer than Mexico. In Mexico, trouble can find you even if you're not looking for it.

Mexico is still on my list, though. Argentina too.

I've spent time in both countries, although I've never lived in either.

Philippines is definitely easier to get laid. I'm a white guy in his late thirties and was banging two to three girls a day due to online game when I applied myself. That said, my Tinder/Bumble game in Mexico City and GDL was pretty close to 100% (I do speak fluent Spanish). The girls in Mexico are significantly more educated - at least in the cities - and there's much, much more to do. If you're looking to rack up notches, go to Manila. For girls that are actually intellectual and far superior food, Mexico is amazing.

I'm not based in Manila. I'm based in the Caribbean. But I will say that Asia is a cultural galaxy like no other, one to which a second rate cast-off copy of Spanish culture, sprinkled with USA, simply can not compare. Asia is infinitely more vibrant and culturally interesting than Latin America will ever be. Asian food is significantly better than Latin American food will ever be, by about a thousand miles. Secondly Filipino musicians and singers are excellent, though admittedly Cuban music is also quite good. The nightlife of Thailand or Indonesia or Philippines is perhaps unmatched in the world, though admittedly I can't speak for Colombia, as I've never been there. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Colombia, but first all of Asia is way ahead on the list.

I don't think Latin America wins anywhere on the cultural front, when pitted against Asia. Not saying it's a bad place, but Asia is an inverted galaxy of cultural wonderment, totally different to western culture, so I think there's really no argument to be made that Latin America is culturally more exciting. It isn't.

Mexican girls hate (American) white guys because of Trump and the historic bad blood between the US and Mexico.

I can count on one hand the amount of the white dudes I saw with Latinas in California when I visited there. They usually date black guys or cholo gangbangers.

1. This is preposterous. I can only assume you have zero firsthand experience.
2. This thread is about Mexico city, not latinas in California.

While not true, your logic might make a little more sense if you weren't referring to Mexicans who are actually in the US.

RE: As a white guy, is a place like Manila still much easier than, say, Mexico City?
While I will not go and "party", as I value my health way too much to be playing with my circadian rhythm like that, I do value being able to walk around outside for a large portion of the day.

A major drawback for Manila, from what I can see, is that I may not enjoy being outside all that much because of the climate, especially during the hours I intend to be awake. I like strolling through parks, going on runs, meditating outside and just exploring cities.

When I was in Bangkok last year it was room with AC>cab with AC>place(for instance gym or store) with AC>cab with AC>room with AC. Ordering some girls off dating apps, and having a super bland life because I hated to death being outside in that climate. In Manila(funny enough, I met a guy there who wrote for ROK at the gym out of nowhere), where I stayed in BGC, it seemed a little bit cooler, but that was in December, I'm worried it's gonna be getting hotter in the next months. I did walk around in BGC but ended up a sweatball, and going to places outside with a girl I dated was mostly not enjoyable because of the climate. I'm a very warm person physically as is, I love the sun, as it improves my mood, but not the heat.

I'm trying to find somewhere to stay from mid Jan till mid April or so.

A few questions:

1. How do you guys think Mexico compares to the Philippines for finding a wife? Keep in mind I'm in my mid 20s only and hope to settle before my late 30s. I am in good shape and will probably get the required facial surgeries(I need 3 of them) to be 95th+ percentile tier for a Caucasian before I reach that age. I'm not really looking to find a wife now, and love to date a bit more casually, but I'm open to being blown away by a woman. I'm not really wanting to lose out on a better option to find a loyal, decent wife.

2. Do any of you guys have the same issues with the climate in Manila? How heavily does it weigh for you? I'm wondering if I overblow it, but to me it genuinely seems like a massive downside.

Thanks for the input and discussion.

Holy shit you sound like you belong in a God damned mental asylum. If you’re going wife hunting in Mexico, maybe instead of getting three facial surgeries to put yourself into the top 5% of caucasian males for looks, you should practice Spanish, just a thought bro!

Yeah I figured it would trigger some people here. I can just tell you from experience that having looks at a certain level allows me to order women off dating apps like ordering pizza, even in the west. I will agree that it's less important for finding something meaningful, but women's initial attraction is quite visual. Doing things like that may be stigmatized, but it's very effective in reality.

Jesus when did SEA become public enemy #1 on the forum? It gets more hate than the west on here now. I'm getting tired of debating with people that are pretty set on their views. I'll just say that I will always defend SEA but it doesn't mean I'm not open to other regions. I don't think guys that back other regions give that same courtesy when shots can be taken on their areas. Each place has its good and bad.

You guys should talk to guys like Beyond Borders or Clean Slate when it comes to breaking barriers with local Asians. I've learned a lot from them. It sounds admittedly easier to befriend locals in LA. But I personally enjoy the challenge of getting locals to break out of their shell. There is a beauty of getting a conservative or quiet person to talk and open up to you that I think goes unappreciated in this thread and maybe the forum. Being an introvert myself maybe I can grasp that better.

I have partied or bonded with a lot of local Asian people in a short time abroad. Taiwanese people have invited me to stay in their homes in as remote of places like a Tainan clam farming town. Another girl I met there and bonded with basically decided to be my tour guide for the week in Taipei and paid for all of her own stuff. Japanese locals have invited me to have dinner with them just because they saw me sitting alone at a table. My Filipina girlfriend at the time got me into the Filipino island community just because I was the only westerner with a local there (the rest were backpackers) and I spent a few nights playing cards and drinking with the guys plus learning how one guy married a Polish girl and built a business to support his family and neighbors. Boracay kids asked me questions about America just because they were curious (not like I was even the only western guy there, just maybe the most approachable), and other locals there treated me to a meal, drinks, and live entertainment in a local restaurant just to have a fun night out as generous people.

The point I'm getting at is it can be done without needing to write it off. Maybe it's even better in LA for all I know, but it doesn't mean no westerners befriend Asian locals. But it's whatever. If you guys feel like you need to take shots at dudes that have other preferences or happen to like something that you don't, I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Just leaves more girls and cheaper rent for us.....

As far back as I could remember, I always wanted to be a player.

RE: As a white guy, is a place like Manila still much easier than, say, Mexico City?
What’s the TLDR on that wall of text weirdo?

God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!
