Aromatherapy/Essential Oil Diffuser - What's your scent?
After I caught a cold recently and my sinuses get really dry, I'd have to use nasal spray several times a day. Shit is not good for your health.

I reckon my room is pretty dry and with the winter being pretty vicious right now, the fact that we're mostly closing the window and turning on the heat doesn't help either.

So I bought this essential oil diffuser and let it run for a few hours. Suddenly my nose got clear. Plus the added benefits of a room that smells good and a slightly cleaner air. 1000x if you are bringing a chick over.

Gonna leave it running during the night, see if it helps.

Also seems like with different combinations of essential oils you can do a lot of things. Help focus, keep out insect, help relax, etc.

Anyone got experience with this? Any oil or combination you would like to share?

Eucalyptus, my man. It's great for your sinuses.

Thanks guys for the help.

I'm new to this, but you can definitely mix the oil together right? Dont know why in the instruction manual it says avoid mixing oils since it produces unpleasant odor and can damage the diffuser?

I've blended oils, some combinations smell better than others but there's no reason it would affect the machine. You can even find pre-mixed oils for sale. My mom combines lavender and peppermint oils, she says it's good for headaches.

Something like this combo would be awesome:

Feeling like a walk in the woods, but stuck at home? Try this instead:

3 drops frankincense essential oil
2 drops white fir essential oil
1 drop cedarwood essential oil

RE: Aromatherapy/Essential Oil Diffuser - What's your scent?
Surprised this wasn't the first one mentioned:

https://www.essentialoilsus.com/ylang-yl...d-recipes/

Quote:Sexual health: Ylang ylang has aphrodisiac properties that can activate “senses of romance” and increase sex drive. The oil helps combat loss of libido that is often triggered by stress, depression, and other mental and psychological issues.

Good in massage oil too.

By the way, there is something personally powerful about scents. The best thing to do is try a whole bunch of them to see what affects you. It is probably tied subconsciously to something from your childhood, so for one person, the scent of vanilla might remind them of a good time in their life and have a positive effect.

I recently bought some body lotion that was scented rosemary and mint, a combination I never would have thought of, and yet it triggered in me a specific memory of a hot tub and massage place I used to go to with a girl in a great time in my life.

I didn't even know that I had smelled this specific scent before, and that my brain associated it with a time and a place, and now I have a smell that I know will make me feel good.

I think the best all purpose one is lavender, which is really good for relaxation and sleep. When I walk past a lavender bush, sometimes I run it through my hands and smell it as I pass by.

It goes without saying that females are all over this kind of thing, and they already have favorites and probably detailed opinions about every conceivable scent, just like they do about colors.

I haven't consciously done this, but it would seem that you could get a lot of mileage out of essential oils and the feelings they evoke when you are gaming, not to mention that having your own special blend is a perfect excuse to get the girl back to your place to experience it, and there you are, lights down low, candle flickering, and girl relaxing and surrendering to the experience.

If you wanted to take it to the next level, you could even talk to her about smells in general, and quiz her subtly on different smells from her life, childhood, past, and what memories they evoke, and then, next time she comes over that is what your got in your seduction diffuser.

Anyone used scent to game?

Bit of a homo thread but I'll bite.

Real men put their head over a bowl of steaming water and throw in some eucalyptus oil and throw a towel over.

^ If you're going that route you're better off putting eucalyptus leaves themselves in the pot instead of the oil. Bay leaf works too if you can't get your hands on eucalyptus.

Personally I've always been partial to tea tree oil. In a pinch I mix it with coconut oil for a quick natural deodorant. It also diffuses well.

Tea Tree oil is like a magic substance, and you can put it on cuts or gargle with it when you have a sore throat or cure athlete's foot.

Unfortunately it smells pretty medicinal, pretty nasty, and can take over a whole house.

Still, carrying a small bottle of it when you travel is one of the smartest things you can do.

I always go for orange.

Lavender for sleepy time
Eucalyptus for studious time
Peppermint for activity time. I straight run it on my skin and feel the increased blood flow. Accidentally got some peppermint oil remenant on my dick and that was a peculiar 15 minutes. Be sure to wash those hands!
Lemon when cleaning.
I drop tea tree in kitchen and bathroom corners because it will negate any lingering smells.
Also enjoy lemon grass and chicory.

These things are underrated.

RE: Aromatherapy/Essential Oil Diffuser - What's your scent?
Women love vanilla, sandalwood, and almonds. It gives off a real romantic vibe. For massages, I usually do a mixture of different oils and add a vanilla and rose scent (maybe a drop of lavender)

My wakeup scent is a mix of Citrus, Peppermint, and bergamot. Good after a cold shower. (put the oils in a steaming hot bowl and put your head in it with a towel over you)

My calm down scent is a mix of vetiver, lavender, cedarwood OR sandalwood, and jasmine. The hack is to if you have pillowcases, put them in a plastic zip lock bag with 2 drops of jasmine and lavender then add 1 drop of peppermint OR eucalyptus. Shake the bag up and let it sit for a hour or 2. Your sinus will love you and the sleep will be the best sleep of your life.

You'll be surprised how important scents are. This goes for colognes also.

Lots of great tricks I've never heard about except here, this forum is awesome.

Scent is huge with women, those who get it have always been using this to their max advantage.

I'll try out the mixture you guys suggested. Now I have another date bait "hey let's head over to my place, got this new scent mixture you gotta check out"

Also, with EOs you do need a good quality brand. Typically you get what you pay for. Young Living and DoTerra are sold by multilevel marketing, which always seems kinda sketchy, but they are of high quality.
