Is this a red flag?
Meet a girl through a work-related connection. We got along great, went out and had fun. However, I had a friend drop off a little box of candy for her at work. She got pissy and texted me it wasn’t appropriate at work and she didn’t know me that well. (&10 gift). So I stopped all contact with her.
About a month later, a mutual friend said she’s asking about me. I then ran into her a couple of times. She’s been really friendly and I feel we could maybe start again. I do like her. But her reaction to the little gift seemed way out of proportion.
Move on or try again?

Way too many of these vague title threads. Please put specifics in the thread title so it is searchable. Honestly.

Get the bang, but await the wig out that means you have to ghost her coming real soon.

Move on. Give her nothing unless she comes back begging. Then you can try again but you must maintain frame.

RE: Is this a red flag?
The gift was too early.
Comes as trying to win her over with gifts instead of being with her and doing stuff together.

What was the point of the gift?
You dont know her that well to assume she would like certain things.

A basic rule would be to never buy gifts for a girl that isn't your girlfriend at the minimum.

As Kinjustu said - Never buy a girl a gift you haven't fucked.

You owe no female nothing. There is millions of thirsty dudes out there literally doing that.

Change your mindset man.

This, pretty much.

I almost side with the chick.

In her eyes, you might as well be a slobbering 300-lb. loser, with that amount of thirst as an opening move.

Girls reaction is actually normal. The red flag, as mentioned, is your behaviour.

Look in the mirror and ask what you're compensating for to be throwing money at the girl and fix that.

Its not just that you bought her a gift before banging.

The worst mistake was that it was a surprise gift at her workplace (where you don't even work). That's a very uncalibrated move.

You need to be discreet when it comes to women, not ambush her in front of her colleagues!

I would send a surprise gift at a woman's desk only if it was our 75 years wedding anniversary or something

Move on or try again?

Are you really asking the forum "move on or try again"? Really? Are you like 18 years old?

I can understand when people ask questions here to get closer to potential sex. But you really ask the forum members for advice whether you should continue or not?

When it comes to finding a life partner, in my opinion you definitely shouldn't ask strangers on the internet. Why would you?? Do they know you? Did they know what exactly happened? I have no idea why people ask such questions when it comes to finding mister/miss right. Surely nobody here can help. Maybe some can give you some general advice, but without knowing A LOT more about you and the whole context, feedback here can't be very valuable.

The internet has great potential, but unless the technology changes (from text to mind-reading etc), to ask your question here is a waste of time. In the end you will do whatever you want anyway.

p.s. my feedback to your story: why should you be interested in such a retarded woman who says it's inappropriate to receive a gift at the workplace? What the hell.

Ah and when reading some of the answers from other forum members here on this topic, like "Girls reaction is actually normal." I must say, damn, what the hell. Like sheeps who follow the social norm.

Maybe I am just too old for such childish topics.

He's retired now but Tom Leykis came to the opinion that American women decided within 5 minutes if they wanted to bang a guy ~ free dinners and gifts didn't factor in according to him.

It's always better to save the gifts for when you're in an actual relationship I think.

She said she wanted a LTR exclusive. She said I wouldn’t get anything right away, but when it ‘was time’ she’ ‘tear me up’.
Also, I appreciate all the advice. Been 15 years out of the market & I’m trying to shed my Blue Pill & puxxy pedistal mindset. I’d still be married if I was more aware.

Talk is cheap mate. She's having sex, just not with you.

Reality check - She likes the attention and you are an orbiter.

The answer is GFTOW don't get hung up on one girl.

If you want to go for it and possibly crash and burn that's fine to get it out of your system and then move on, don't wait and see how/if the situation changes.

Keep sarging.

Why you sending a girl gifts at work? That's the kind of shit you do for your wife or LT gf. And even then do it sparingly....

The gift , which is a genuinely nice intention , was showing that you are needy and burning stages. Girl despise attention , they have enough and all of those who give them are beta in their eyes. She needs a challenge to get interested. It s a little mistake from you but we all learn from mistakes.

Thanks for the eye opening response. Guess I was in the wrong. I do like getting little gifties for some of the cute girls at work. Trouble is, they compare gifts & either boast about what I got them (they post online)or get jealous if one got a ‘better’ gift. Well. No more gifts for anyone. Thanks for taking the time to educate me. .
