RE: Making Money Online Links and Threads for 2019 and Beyond
Cool list of links.

I've made two fortunes online. The first was 2002 - 2008 when I built some shareware in Visual Basic 6.0 and sold it to businesses for $49.95 - $249.95 a go.

My hot tip here is to be observant in your day job. Find a problem that businesses need help with that they will gladly pay other companies to solve. If you go micro-niche enough then you should only have 1 or 2 competitors and you can undercut them by working from your kitchen table like I used to.

If you can't code, hire somebody who can.

The second fortune was from making niche blogs. This has got a lot harder as you need to work a lot harder to rank in Google. The easy money was made by me and by others back in 2010 - 14. It's freaking hard work now.

If I was starting out again I'd do a lot more video than actual blogging.

Personally I think the best thing you can do to make money is to work on your career, climb the promotion ladder and pour every cent you can into income generating investments.

Thanks man. I figured a lot of people would get something out of them...especially the ones who are into coding and IT. I see a lot of that in those remote job links. It does seems like 10 years was a goldmine when it comes to blogging. You are right about video. I think video and voice is definitely the way to go today. I need to figure out something around that. If I could combine that with something niche than I would be good. Income generating investments is definitely great as well.

Thanks for the links man.

I have been meaning to ask about medical coding/billing(are they the same thing?) for a while now. It is not the typical side hustle people look for when working online but it seems to be easy to work remote from.

My personal situation is I have a family and I am about halfway to my FIRE number. I have a great job/trade(doesn't translate to remote work) and great income but In a couple years when my son graduates we would like to move back to my wifes home country and I won't quite be ready financially. I would really like something to fall back on where I can make 15-30k a year working part-time. I really don't mind working for 'The Man'.

Does anybody have any experience with medical coding/bill?

No problem man, I hope you can get something out of them. I have no idea about medical coding/billing. And there's nothing wrong with working for "The Man' at all. I know working remotely for him would be ideal for many. lol I hope everything works out for you.
