I've met several women this year who wanted to hang out, have sex, enter a relationship, but seemed to spend over 50% of their time looking at their phones, endlessly scrolling Facebook and Instagram. They are socially handicapped by technology and unable to converse at a normal level. Good looking girls too, 7s.

Earlier this week I had my strangest experience with this phenomenon yet. I had been talking to a very attractive 19 year old on a popular asian dating app who claimed to be shy but wanted to meet just for an hour to talk. She wanted to bring her friends but I told her to come alone, so she did. I sat on a bench at a mall and when she approached me it was the most awkward experience ever, she acknowledged me, but sat behind me on a different bench and stared at her phone, I tried to strike up a basic conversation but she looked mentality distressed and couldn't form a coherent sentence or break her stare away from her screen for more then a split second. After a minute I decided it wasn't worth my time so I got up and walked away without saying anything to her, but she just followed me around for 10 minutes. She followed me out of the mall and into a restaurant where I ate and she sat there looking at her phone the whole time. I tried to strike up conversation a few more times but she was still all fucked up and couldn't say anything coherent. I even called her out on it saying "you're really addicted to that thing aren't you" and she just giggled. After eating I got up and walked back to my apartment and she followed me all the way back and proceeded to sit on my couch and look at her phone. At that point I needed to step in, so I took the phone from her, and I said "no more phone, it's my phone now" and she actually looked relieved and said "that's ok". Once the phone was removed she warmed up, like puddy in my hands, we began to touch and kiss, I stripped her down and put her in my bed and had we had very passionate sex. Afterwards she became very playful and responsive, like a different person.

The whole experience was very bizarre. I think a lot of these young women who are addicted to social media and technology are good women inside, they just need a strong force to break the spell. Personally, I'm not going to make this woman or any other technology addicted woman my LTR project, I'm still going to look for someone normal to begin with.

Weird times we're living in.

Wait....... you didn't marry her first??

Smartphone addiction is another way of saying social network addiction. People who aren't on social networks aren't compelled to check their phone every minute. I only have facebook account which I barely use and my girlfriend, check this out, doesn't have instagram. And is not allowed to while she's with me.

I've gotten into the habit of watching youtube videos on my phone before bed. They lull me to sleep and I'm usually out like a light before the video ends. I like watching analysis videos of games that I'm interested in - mainly poker, hearthstone, and starcraft. For some reason the commentary always gets me sleepy despite having an interest in the subject.

It's becoming a habit I'm getting wary of, though. I find that if I can't watch my videos, it's a lot harder for me to fall asleep and I get frustrated.

I usually don't check the phone in the morning until after packing my bag and leaving the house.

You gotta step it up, man. Sleep in in a Faraday cage...

I'm not even joking.

I take this idea somewhat seriously but don't know where to start. Got any good resources?

Eh, not necessarily. A lot of people are just using reddit/youtube, which is just as addicting.
