RE: "Economically Unattractive" Men to Blame For Low Marriage Rate
I think I know exactly who's going to show up to buy that Ms. Monopoly game. A woman who I used to work with found one of those "Economically Unattractive" men and married him.

She's older (early 40s); he's younger (late 30s). Both employed (though he's had some periods of unemployment), both make decent money, two small kids and another newborn - she had them all at 41-44 years old, by some miracle they are not down syndrome kids. They are both employed. She did not take his last name. She's bossy, and talks smack a lot behind his back, bitching and complaining about his drinking, being out of shape, not taking care of himself, medical problems, whatever. She even jokes around that if he isn't going to take care of himself he might as well just drop dead. He's already sleeping on the couch because he snores so much. Not surprising there's pictures of her and the kids on the desk but none with the hubbie.

She used to work in the city as a lawyer (doesn't do that now - they both do corporate stuff) and often reminisces openly how much fun it was to work at big firms and live the city life. Based on what she told me out of the blue, in about five years, once the kids are old enough to dress themselves and go to the bathroom on their own, she'll pop smoke on him, take the kids, the house and half the stuff.

It's a classic example of getting nagged by the wife you married who's nagging you because you were not her first choice. She's an alpha widow.

If he ever gets himself back into shape and starts thinking about how hes treated, then recognizes that he may have options, she's in trouble.

Arado, it's one of my favorite topics.

My feeling is that the realist perspective (and these are all probabilities) is like that of Trump: 8 year breather, but then back to decline, and major. I hope I'm wrong, but I've always said it. Similar, I hope that a recession would make people humble enough to live with a newfound reality and appreciation about how hard life is and how hard survival is, which usually reverts back to traditional living.

My suspicion, sadly, is that most will opt for subsistence living, just enough bread and circuses by the gov't, checking out of life via week or booze, etc. Instead of a change in culture, sugar dating type things will continue to get even stronger; what's bad right now with apps, IG, and everything else will just get worse. I think the main reason why that is more likely is that you just don't have a strong culture to identify with here anymore. To be frank, you haven't had it for decades.

I'm very sad to guess this, but I'm being honest.

Doesn't that all assume that there is someone paying for all these people that are checking out of life? I would think that if there was a sever downturn only the productive will remain employed and useless HR and diversity/quota hires would be let go, partially restoring the male role in the economy, though many men will get hard hit as well.

Have you worked for a giant corporation? They'll create more paperwork to "approve" spending $0.25 for a nut or bolt to safely fix necessary equipment used by front line labor, then hire MORE women with college degrees to "process" said paperwork. Front line labor will be the first to be shit on, I'll guarantee you that.

Someone has to actually do work for the corporation to get paid, no? Especially if they are competing for dwindling business abroad. In the next downturn there will be no more Fed to bail them out with cheap debt.
The Left, the Matrix, the Elites, Them ((())), whatever you want to call it or however you want to define it always doubles down on dogma. Always. You're thinking logically which is a major mistake. It no longer matters. Dogma rules over everything in today's PC clown world.

On the heels of this story, Hasbro just released a new version of the classic name Monopoly called Ms. Monopoly. In this game, Hasbro "celebrates women" and the game is touted as "the first-ever game where women make more than men.” (Link.)

How funny would it be to actually take up someones offer and play the game against some wymyn but come out winning.

Even with this unfair advantage of females getting special treatment here, I think guys would still win disproportionately.

Then what will they find fault in?
