Food prep kits and prepper discussion
Where do you guys get your stuff ? I've considered making a food prep kit for myself when SHTF.

Don't get me wrong I got plenty of ammo/guns/cold clothing supplies but trying to find stuff for food online and it's so dang expensive.
When I travel I keep a warm blanket and hothands glove warmers in the toolbox of my truck+trunk of my car.

Also, do y'all think those flouride removing water filtration systems are worth it ?

Yes, get a filter for your water, fluoride is a neurotoxin.

As to food, I am not really too bothered. If you live in N. America, we will never run out of food. At the most, get a few weeks supply of dried/canned food. Your issue in cities will be lack of power or water, which could happen in case of a major power outage. You could remedy if you live in the burbs and can get a small photovoltaic setup and a water tank, or a well if you're further out in the country.

Newbie/old school question. Back in the day a 'food prep' kit was called a root cellar with jars or preserves and a pantry with canned food. Add some bottle water and a can opener and you are all set. What am I missing?

In addition to the other recommendations, knowing how to fish, hunt and garden would be huge, as well as living in an area with abundant access to nature. I think living away from the masses is important too.

That's 100% true.

Fishing and hunting down in the south aren't bad. I got all that stuff locked in. Gardening though ? Hmmm I need to learn how to grow more than peppers lol
