RE: Game and Travel subforums will be removed on January 13
Back in 2013, RoK published an article about a Christian wife (Jenny Erikson) who frivorced her husband

THE MOST ABOMINABLE CHRISTIAN WIFE ON THE INTERNET

From the conclusion of that article:

Quote:What can we learn from this?
Jenny’s actions have been slammed by Christian manosophere bloggers such as Dalrock and Sunshinemary. The fact that a significant number of bloggers identify as “Christian manosophere bloggers” shows that even conservative Christian men in monogamous marriages need game nowadays.

Jenny Erikson’s husband did exactly what he was told he was supposed to do. He had the full support of his community and pastor and it still wasn’t enough to preserve his relationship. The sad truth is that by supporting his wife, Leif was supplicating rather than leading, even going so far as to buy her presents after she divorced him. Jenny describes him before marriage as “my shoulder to cry on when I went on bad dates” and “just friends.”

His wife placed a greater value on the tingles between her legs than her church, family, or God. If Leif had studied game, he might still have his marriage. Or have picked a better wife.

Erasing all of the years of accumulated knowledge that's been compiled about female behavior when it comes to sex and relationships isn't going to improve anything. Going to Church and reading the Bible doesn't have to mean sticking your head in the sand about women. Advocating for men to ignore game (because it's sinful/manipulative/etc.) is just going to result in more men like the clueless husband in that article who thought going to Church and being a "good Christian man" was enough to keep his marriage going.

"I'm not like most girls" - most girls

If you have to whine, go drinking alone.

There are a lot of resources outside of Roosh to get general vacation advice, or expat living advice, for traveling pretty much anywhere in the world. Indeed, long before RooshVForum existed, I got a book which went over all of the cultural quirks of living in Mexico, and read it cover to cover before setting foot in Mexico.

It’s sinful to engage in fornication (i.e. adultery) with as many women as possible (Romans 13:9; Matthew 19:6; etc.), and that is what the game and travel sections were about. Sure, there are isolated threads which are not about that, but I am not expecting Roosh to sift through all of them to separate the chaff from the wheat.

I'm proud to be a part of a forum that called out A Rape on Campus for being a lie long before anyone else questioned the story.

If yes, why not simply close it, delete it entirely, and place a fresh religious one at the same URL?

Put the suffering dog down, show mercy, instead of amputating its limbs (Threads & Banned Members) one by one, while it's still alive.
It's just painful to watch at this point.

I'm not commenting on what's happening here necessarily, but in regards to what you're saying: reddit used to just straight up ban edgy, "problematic" subreddits. Once they realized just how many there were (reddit as a whole is hilariously censored, try using one of those tools that shows comments that mods deleted, even benign posts are half red) they started instead replacing the mods with staffers and loyalists first for a few weeks before banning to try to rot the spirit of the sub away, to introduce a little whitewashed content for a while, and then ban it when people had largely abandoned it, largely forgotten what it was about, once going through the sub's (remaining) old posts only showed a simulacrum of what it actually was. Then they banned it. When this was happening to r/cringeanarchy (and, simultaneously, several other edgelord subs) the users there re-organized in a Matrix server chatroom and decided to just nuke the place, scorched earth style. Signed up for a thousand new accounts, flooded it with shit way more problematic than the typical content the company was trying to get rid of in the first place, the Reddit-corporate-funded new mods couldn't keep up and they banned it like a day later.

Indeed, "game" can be used to mindless bang sluts because the world is burning anyways so might as well get mine - as I think a lot of us here did - but also the things discussed on forums like this have, over time, become applied more to manhood at large, how to handle yourself in a society as a man vis-a-vis women, jobs, bureaucracy, and the move (be it organic or calculated) to undermine society and replace it with the atomized globalist monoculture. Information is valuable and honorable men need to support and enrich each other with this kind of information (amongst other things). "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" might be a good way to look at "dangerous" information.

Knowing how to deal with women is hardly childish.

I've supported Roosh since his conversion, the rules changing, and I attended his speech...but things aren't getting any better for men; even the most basic game knowledge could help a poor guy questioning his existence over getting dumped or pining for some girl. I've said it before and I'll say it again: men will suffer and continue to suffer because of the lack of good resources on how to improve and manage their relationships with women. No one benefits from the erasure of knowledge; how do you think western civilization ended up at this point? Because people have forgotten history and lack the knowledge of the past.

I also ask how can one appreciate the change in Roosh's perspective without the context of his past?

I don't mean to be insolent. I am just wholly against the erasure of compiled knowledge. Game is a double edged sword, one can use it to fornicate with sluts or to find and manage a wife. Nonetheless it is a tool that puts power into the hands of men living in a society that wants to strip it away from them by any means necessary.

Using "game" to bang sluts is why western civilization has declined. Western civilization isn't going to heal by teaching guys "game," that's a Heartiste-tier cope. All this game stuff is simply the flipside of the feminist wrecking ball on our civilization.

Western civilization has declined because men have become weak simps that cater to women's every demand. Game helps rectify this. It's a tool like anything else.

I've been on NoFap since last year, so I'm hardly a "coomer." You're putting words into my mouth, and your assumptions make you look like an absolute halfwit.

(01-09-2020 12:35 AM)VNvet Wrote:  As I've said before, everything you need to know about women and relationships can be figured out in about a month of browsing through Heartiste. After that it's just weird pathological behavior for guys that come from single mom homes.

Heartiste had value but there is hardly any comparison to getting boots-on-the ground perspectives from multiple men.

Plenty of men age out of the "bang sluts" phase into a more mature stage of life, but what they have gained from this period is the wisdom of female nature and how to handle it. Most of us here lived it, and I don't feel particularly worse off for I learned through my experiences. I won't lose any sleep over the changes. If anything, less guys knowing game means less competition in the dating market, however I can't imagine how rough my life would be without the knowledge I've gained through this forum and it bums me out that some future guys won't have that opportunity.

If some guys wanted to put together a list (with links) of particularly useful Game/Travel threads that did not violate the new forum rules then perhaps Roosh might be persuaded to move them to Everything Else before he deletes the old forums altogether.
