just back from KRAKOW >>>>>>>>>>my honest account
Hi.

4 days in Krakow is not enough - but you knew this already. This was just a 'testing polish waters' trip for me......... and it was epic. These are my opinions on the City, gaming there and the girls. I know my experience is relative, but after so many contrasting stories and opinions on this place, I’ll share my truth........... P.S. Please realise I’m speaking GENERALLY HERE. I don’t want to keep adding ‘IN MY OPINION’ to everything I say........

Krakow is a beautiful City... But be warned, if you’re an english speaker, your reception will be very cold. Few people speak good english, I’d say half know TINY BITS. Only 1 in 10 ‘off the streets’ will be able to hold a decent conversation. Even ordering a beer, buying a pack of cigarettes will prove really awkward. What really dissapointed me, is that I’d learned a few Polish phrases and used them, but it went really unappreciated. Everyone working in shops and bars were moody, never crack a smile, even when you SMILE, TRY SOME POLISH and make light of the situation – you will get a dull look – especially off Polish men who genetically seem to look angry with piercing eyes!?!
I have an American friend who lives in Krakow and speaks a bit of Polish. His advice to be was ‘DON’T BOTHER TO TRY, DON’T TELL THEM you can’t speak english – just get on with it – they don’t really care.

I need to tell you now, that, though I really like the Polish, English people like myself have got a bad reputation. So much so, it spreads to other english speakers. This is from the obvious ‘stag weekend hoodoo’. If you’re going to go over there and be successful with the girls, you’ll need to migrate as far away from this preconception as possible which is tough. This is a tourist HOT SPOT, especially for Canadians and Australians, so you’re never ever, going to stand out. You’ll need to lie why you’re there and how long for....

IT’S ONE HELL OF A MYTH that the girls are EASY. Most have serious shields up for tourists... And the language barrier makes it really hard to run classic game through conversation. If you’re game is based on stories, negs and cold approaches, unless you get lucky with the girl knowing some english you’re going to get very frustrated. BUT THAT’S not to say you can’t game girls who don’t speak english. My only lay came on my first night out of 3 which was the product of classic dance floor groping – usually not my style – but works in Krakow. Polish girls LOVE TO DANCE. If you’ve got moves, use them. PULLS can happen extremely fast. Again, all relative I know. In quiet bars, i worked girls with a few simple magic tricks which blew them away. If you can show that you aren’t just a tourist, and have something ‘different’ - you will be liked.

One great line which was understood and went down really well was ‘Hey, are you German?’ (knowing she’s polish). They don’t like the Germans much and LOVE TO TELL YOU WHY! Or, go one step further and tell them they look Russian. Gulp.

I don’t mean for my report to sound so negative. It’s a great place to be. I guess I’m just being honest, because all I’ve ever heard is ‘KRAKOW GIRLS ARE EASY, KRAKOW IS CHEAP’. Krakow is not that cheap. Okay, it’s cheaper than the english pound but you’re not going to be buying beer for 1 quid anywhere. During the last 5 years, prices have gone up making this the most expensive City in Poland, I think. On another positive note, harsh as it sounds “POLISH GUYS HAVE GOT NOTHING”. Walking around Krakow, every girl is better than the guy. This can only be a good thing surely!!

What are the girls like? Not ‘UNBELIEVABLEY UNBELIEVABLE’ I would say. Compared to Scandanavia.... Well, you can’t compare to scandanavia. For me, you cannot beat the quality and sheer numbers of hotties Copenhagen can offer – especially if you love blondes. But there are HOT GIRLS HERE all around – and they’re all thin Smile I regret not having more time to do Day Game – mainly because I went to visit places like Auschwitz and a WISLA KRAKOW football match – highlight of the trip. Also want to say that the girls who worked at the stadium, supermodel like – were the warmest service-providing girls I’d met in Poland................

Dam, I do really miss the place now. I was seriously just getting warmed up. 4 days isn’t enough. 10 days is getting there...I don’t think you’re going to get that much out of a ONE HIT WEEKEND in Krakow, because as I said, you’ll be a bit put off by the language barrier at first and it will take you 2 days to warm to the polish’ lack of enthusiasm who seem to ‘hate tourists’ in the main square which is ironic of course.......

My conclusion, is that, there’s definitely something there in Krakow. I think if you moved there, you could really build a life for yourself... And, as a foreigner with charm and non-tourist traits you could net yourself an absolute stunner – for life- within 1 month, I am confident – just look at the girls average polish men are getting – this is most skewed male to female ratio I’ve ever seen. I think Roosh had the right idea going to the non-tourist cities of Poland – as Krakow will make you’re ears bleed with the Ozzie accent after a while. For me, I don’t think Poland is the Holy Grail. Roosh is going to hate me for saying this, but Copenhagen still has my heart. I’ll fight Roosh forever on this one – the girls there are hands down the most beautiful – inside and out – I’ve yet met in Europe. My personality and style just seemed to go down REALLY WELL OVER THERE with them, and, though they have massive judgments against Eastern Europeans (for example, they don’t like Poles) - they really like us english, and our accents. Smile

Be nice to hear your thoughts on Krakow too........
Owed it to you just to give you my story. Anyone wants more info, i.e. Exact field reports, just ask. I went for it pretty hardcore straight for three nights.

What I'm most surprised about is how so few people speak English. I find that hard to accept since Poznan has so many english speakers.

Roosh,

I was so surprised too.

But maybe my comment isn't entirely fair. I personally think it's the UNDERSTANDING english that is the problem....... not necessarily the speaking. My accent probably doesn't help Smile

And...... this is the weakest english speaking euro zone i've been to after Scandanavia, Germany, Spain, France etc... it took me 2 days to get used to it, start taking slower and reducing my sentance structures to minimal... That's why i wish i could have extended my stay.

Negs didn't work?? That's a first. </sarcasm>

OP in general you seem to do a lot of 'fireworks game', this doesn't go down well in EE in general.

this rings true, as almost every scandinavian girl i've interacted with (and quite a few german, dutch as well) have had a thing for british accents; my theory is that a lot of it comes from british popular culture, british music (and movies) of the last few decades and the fashion scenes which sprang from them; so i think many scandinavians make the connection that british accent = cool

Totally agree with you. However Scandis themselves are much more Americanised.. even down to their accents.

Basically traveling is all about finding a place that suits your personality and then interactions are more effortless and fun plus you get received with much more open arms. So for some people it's krakow for some it's copenhagen - really depends on who you are.

copenhagen has a lot of the perfect blonde type, tall slim, naturally blond, with good shape, that a lot of typical darker guys (from outside europe and southern europe) could just dream about.

Poland is a different case you find a lot of different type of girls, most are average height and naturally brown haired (althought darkblondes are quite common) but still they are not that exotic compared to what most southern guys usually tend to like (tall, slim , natural blonde (medium/light blonde) women with northern european facial features, and rosy skin, freckles)

RE: just back from KRAKOW >>>>>>>>>>my honest account
Spent three months in Katowice and area, mostly parked in the small town of Bytom. Like many others, headed for Krakow each weekend. The experience was a little less rewarding than MagicMarker's, really. Quality of girls runs well, from cute to hot, with few below, but, as an English-only speaker, I found approaching groups to be totally impractical (even when I heard them practicing English among themselves). Males are sincerely, threateningly hostile, and rarely run alone, so any group I managed to open would be invaded instantly by multiple males -- I became their ice breaker. Without the Polish language skills, I could not follow the conversations but, due to body language and the few phrases I do know, am convinced that I was the convenient topic for their situational opener (also known as "being the butt of the joke"). Of course, in younger, pack-running, territorial days, I probably did this, too, to older, non-English-speaking solo guys trying to pick up on girls that I wanted to meet -- probably made me feel alpha, too.

Successes in Krakow, save only one win in situations like above, were based on starting at the bar, befriending female staff (as with MagicMarker, short bar magic tricks, highly visual with little patter, work well) who would call over a friend (always with fair to strong English skills) to join me, while the staffer continued to work at the bar or whatever. Buying drinks is called for upon introduction -- and the English-only issue is already explained away. After fairly lengthy, 2-way and 3-way conversation, a suggestion from me to swap venues (to someplace new she could show me) for more drinks weeded out the pros right away. (I think the pros must pay custom to the venue if they leave with a guy, so are unwilling to move on without assurance that the night will end with cash in their hands). This process worked at about the 50% level (provided I got rapport with the hired gun).

Concluding on Krakow, I think the girls are good to go, but the social environment demands an extraordinarily strong anti-slut defense, which must be put into ultra high gear against a solo foreigner when the girl and her group are challenged by local guys. Krakow isn't that big, for someone who lives there -- so the only way to keep these local thugs at bay, next week and the next, is to clearly reject me now.

My life is an open bar...

MagicMarker, Openbar - there is a lot of misinformation in this thread:.

Specifically, the amount of English speakers, the approach-ability of Polish girls (although Krakow is known to be a bit tougher), and the talk of pros (there are none in the bars/clubs).

Hey,

Like Openbar says, Krakow is a funny one. I really wish i was there for 2 weeks, instead of 4 nights, to give a fuller account. My view was based on first impressions...

Luckystar, what is misinformed?

Unlike other countries, i never really felt 'that at home' gaming girls here. In all other countries i've visited, being an outsider, being English felt like a real blessing, an advantage - an extra 15% already. In Krakow, i felt like being english was a massive disadvantage, minus 15%. As Openbar said, I think you're going to struggle running classic game - especially if your seduction is based on conversation. I also got the impression that Polish girls don't really like talking that much - instead, they appear as dance-a-holics. In opposition to what Gig said..... i think Fireworks Game is the way for big results in a short amount of time.

I regret not being able to open more girls, do more aproaches. I was there visiting a friend of mine who lives in Krakow. He is a very popular figure and grabbed us by the scruff of the neck, dragging us around to every top place - free entry, free drinks, meeting LOADS OF PEOPLE - one place after the other - motion sickness - keeping up was a real strain. He is black, and has serious game. I watched him closely - his aproach was NO BULLSHIT. He'd literally grab a girl as she walked past, say "Hey, what's your name...." turn to one of us and say "I gotta get myself a photo of this sweet girl" - photo taken, girl intrigued by what photo looks like - then took her to dance floor. I watched it work EVERYTIME.

He's also convinced me Polish girls love DARK SKIN, and magic tricks Wink They seem more gullible than other nationalities, for sure.

I just want to add.....

My only disappointment with Krakow comes from the general mood and manors of the locals. Is it just me or can anyone else testify??

GIRLS - GOOD
GAME ABILITY - GOOD
CLUBS - GOOD
PRICES - GOOD
TREATMENT - BAD

I just can't understand why everyone, and yes, it feels like EVERYONE in the shops, and behind the bars are so bloody miserable and moody!? It's like they PHYSICALLY cannot smile, even say THANK YOU or 'DJINKIE'. You just get a dull stare, head nodd if you're lucky, and not a lot else. My friends also noticed this. At first, i thought it was because i attempted bad polish. Then, when i stopped, i thought it was because i spoke full english. Then, when i looked around and notice everyone was so fucking miserable to every customer.......... Oh, and this must be the only country TAXI drivers don't try and talk to you to bag a tip.

OH ONE MORE THING, If you think you're gonna get a fuking full pint forget it! JUST LIKE ALL OTHER EUROPEANS, you'll have 1/5th missing off the top. Lazy bastards. Is England really the only place you get a full pint with full HEAD!?

Don't want to turn this into a KRAKOW BASH, because i loved EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THE CITY - and it's fascinating. But why the cold reception????

Please spare me of any criticism - like they don't like me because i'm a twat.... Dodgy

My friend thinks it's because of all the years of persecution Poland has endured from outsiders.

Some cultures are just that way inclined.

I don't know if it's decades of communism and war before that or the cold or just the way it is,but generally that side of Europe + Russia are quite miserable societies .

But,they're pretty warm personally as family and friends.

And most of the EE girls I've had the pleasure with are hot in private,so they can be as miserable as they like in public ! Smile

But,I agree it's not that great if you're there on holiday and expecting open arms and smiles.

As for your black friend being really popular....there is still a belief among a lot of these European countries that anyone black automatically must be cool, especially if he hails from America and is into rap.
Maybe he is a great guy ,but I wouldn't read too much into it.
What's he doing living there?

For clarification, Krakow was never ever on my radar and I have been enjoying Poland for some time now. Krakow, like Prague and Budapest is played out and the reception you received is not a surprise. The rest of Poland, however, is unlike any other place in Europe in terms of friendliness and approach-ability. The most smiles I've seen in Europe, east or west.
