RE: What's your reason for not getting married?
Eventually it will probably be because of marriage law and divorce court. Even if you don't sign that marriage piece of paper, you still have the lopsided child support system. The marriage seat belts and airbags are faulty in many nations in the world. It incentivizes women to act even worse in the case of a divorce and harms the family and the children even more and this destructive behavior can often burn any possible chance of reconciliation down in the future.

If I have children in the future, I want it to be done right. And that means a healthy relationship in a stable household with a mother and a father in the children's lives.

OK, then why is this not so when a poor woman marries a richer man? If a rich man so much as goes to a foreign country to fuck a poor girl, he is considered a pervert who cannot get laid in America, but if a woman is "a slave" to the rich guy/family she married, she is considered "abused by her husband" and can cut his penis off with no consequences by society!

RE: What's your reason for not getting married?
Spot on Tomtud that marrying a women richer than you you'll be bossed around all your life. I've known a couple of guys like that and at first they loved it having everything being taken care of for them, but it got to a point that it became unbearable and one committed suicide, another divorced without getting anything from the girl. Now, this only highlights the ridiculous double standard than we men have to endure. Poor or rather is less well off guy divorces rich girl as he can't take it any longer being bossed around specially by the family of the rich girl and gets nothing. Now, at the same time, poor girl divorces rich guy, she won the jackpt as she'll steal 50% of his assets. Another interesting aspect is that whether you marry a poor girl or a rich girl, you end up marrying the whole family but at different levels as outlined above.

The only viable option I see in establishing a healthy family is for those of us who have either themselves or their parents emigrated from another country, specially if our background is from either Asia, Latin America or Eastern Europe, is to go look for a bride there. Once there, you'd have your pick of beautiful, intelligent, honest, FEMININE women to choose from.

Even tough I grew up in France, my background is from Afghanistan. My brother, younger than me, a real alpha and a mega player, went with my parents 3 years ago to Kabul. Once there, he met there a very beautiful, smart, FEMININE woman and now they've been married for 2 years. She takes very good care of him, when he comes home from a long day at the office, he has a warm and delicious meal that she cooked for him awaiting him. She is a great cook, smart, fun, beautiful and above all a feminine woman who knows what it means to be a woman and behaves as one and will be a wonderful mother once they have kids.

Morale of this is that the more I interact with western girls, the less and less I trust them as I get to see their dark side. The only women left in this world who are still worth pursing are the ones in the so called developping countries in Asia, Latin America and EE and Africa. So guys, if you have background from these regions, use them as that'll be your best and safest bet and option for an healthy family life. The girls from North America are only good at one and only one thing: pump and dump. Excercise the 3 F laws with them: find them, fucks them, and forget them. Banana

For a real feminine woman, go east or south brothers.

There's no winning with them. If you marry a woman with more money, she acts like the boss, if you marry one with less or no job, then she acts like a fucking entitlement bitch. I think I'll take the boss who will help pick up my slack over the one who will expect me to buy her everything. Real alphas can get women to pay their way and be ok with it.

The problem with bringing a foreign bride here is she can get fucked up in the head and still divorce you. I know plenty of people that happened to, and I also know plenty that it worked out great for. There is always that gamble you take when you get married.

When it comes to finances, her income/net-worth being "near" yours works out best. In that case, you really don't "lose" anything. Of course you won't lose if she makes a shitload more than you, but just like it was mentioned earlier, you would have to be almost bossed more.

I haven't, and wont, get married because the reason to is gone.

Marriage was the way a man said "youre vagina is mine now" Back in the day a woman violating that contract would result in devastation (if not death).

Now a woman can cheat on her husband, get knocked up with someone elses kids, divorce HIM, and still get him to pay her. Marriage isn't marriage anymore, its indentured servitude of a new variety.

Not if she's semi retarded. Tons of hot chicks who are content with cleaning , cooking , baking, ironing your socks, and would die for a nice shopping spree at wal-mart or presents from target. You just cant get them too smart about anything. Spend time in a third world country filled with hot chicks and watch how the men treat them. Once you have hidden everything properly(way in advance), you breed the bitch with reckless abandon. She would rather live with your filthy ways than to try to figure out how all this shit works.

Look at the guys themselves though.

Men need to be realistic. That Ukrainian 8 or Romanian 9 is only interested in you because she has so few options at home. She might be a decent chick, she might be traditional and feminine, but its still a woman.

You can take her back but you need to understand that you are going to have more competition for her if you go. If you dont have your shit together she is going to move onto a man who does, and the hotter she is the more men she will have available to her.

I dont care where they come from either. Asia, EE, SA, anywhere. Women are women the world over.

The difference is that when you do have your shit together and you have not punched too far above your weight, the chances of you finding that traditional, feminine women without the selfish entitlement and cunt character is far more likely. They make for better wives and girlfriends, but you have got to keep up your end of the bargain too

I don't get why monogamy gets so much hate. I'll take fucking one girl so I don't have to wear a condom over fucking many girls but I always have to wear a condom.

RE: What's your reason for not getting married?
The question shouldn't be "what's your reason for not getting married?". It should be framed as "what benefit will being married bring me?" For even a semi-successful man with game, who lives in an Anglo country and isn't hideous or physically handicapped the answer is simple "none".

This is how women get away with telling the half-truth of never having cheated on someone they're dating. They fuck someone else almost immediately after you and her have had a fight, and it's not cheating, because at the time you were two were fighting and "broke up".

Marriage is not a requirement for either.

I have friends who have been together for more than 10, years, have kids and live together quite happily who never married.

You are actually more at risk under this arrangement. It reverts to common law marriage, which is communal property.

In Australia, living together for 6 months is now considered common law marriage by Australian courts for the purposes of separation.

Wonderful eh?

RE: What's your reason for not getting married?
I found the wording to this question itself telling. I don't mean any slight to the OP for that. I mean, it's one of the most common questions in modern society, yet it shouldn't be.
The very structure of the question belies a presumption that getting married is the standard and that NOT getting married is what you need a reason for. I could never understand this myself and always thought, why the hell isn't the question the other way around? It should be, "What's your reason for getting married?"

But no one ever asks that question.

Perhaps flipping the question around was never necessary. Back in the day, the benefits of marriage were obvious and you didn't have the rug pulled out from under you. Now, however, the benefits of marriage only 'seem' obvious because they only exist in Hollywood movies. Real-life marriage doesn't turn out anything at all like it did in your imagination before you popped the question.

I wondered for a while if maybe I was just negative and/or bitter, but I looked around at what you call "successful" marriages and in those too, the guy still gets a raw deal. He is forever doing shit to keep his wife satisfied. What does she do for him? I am not seeing it. It's a constant and continual give and give without any take whatsoever for the guy.

Little story that may seem insignificant to others but whenever I think about what marriage is and if it benefits both parties, I am always reminded of my best friend when I was younger. Before he got married, we had a guy's night out. Every week. It wasn't a big deal. We weren't out getting wasted every time or anything like that. We just hung out and it really wasn't very adventurous. He lived with his mom and his girl moved in with them to be closer to college. Everything was fine. Then they moved in together after a couple of years. Still, everything was pretty much unchanged. Then he got married.

After the honeymoon, the following guy's night, he tells me at 8:30pm that he should get going home. Huh? Normally we hang out till like 11:00. What's the problem? No problem, but she's alone. So what? Well, I shouldn't leave her all alone all night. Why the hell not? She's a big girl and the TV still works, doesn't it? Sorry man, I gotta head back.

Two weeks later, I get a call asking if I want to go out. I'm surprised because it's Saturday and he never came out on Saturdays. What happened? "She's out with her friends and won't be back till late."

I'm not surprised by how one-sided the situation was. I was surprised that he didn't seem to notice and didn't think it was odd even after I pointed it out to him.

Every marriage I have seen after that has been the same. The guy has to stay home 5/7 nights and the one or two nights he can meet his friends, he has to be home early. She, on the other hand, has carte blanche to go out whenever she feels like it and stay out as long as she wants. The guys always think, "but this is a good thing. Now I can go out with my friends!" Yes, but you had to wait till the last minute to make plans. Put her in that situation and you'll never hear the end of it.

This is only one small aspect of how a married couple operates, but I see the same dynamic reflected in every facet of married life. The guy sits back and takes whatever's given to him, the scraps, while the woman is constantly helping herself to the grade A stuff - and the best part is that most guys break their backs trying to give her more.

There are some marriages that don't conform to these rules, but they are very few and very far between. And don't think you can predict if you're girl will be that 1/1000 that will be a joy to be married to. Odds are very tilted against you and no matter how great she is now, she is very likely to change after the papers are signed.

I thought I found the "reasons to get married". My wife immediately turned into the worst possible nightmare you can imagine. The only saving grace is that I didn't have to pay alimony or palimony to get out of it. Just a big fat wasted wedding. (Still more than I think I should pay for though.)

That is a sad and true story. My former best friend (I say former because I have confirmation that he and his wife are trying to phase me out, pussy) and I used to be crazy in university, like insane.

Then he gets married last year, and when I want to hang with him it's all 'Yeah, but we can't get too crazy.', 'Umm...let me go and ask my wife...' and 'Definitely, but I have to be home by 9.'

But the weird thing is that his wife isn't really a party girl and she doesn't go out every weekend with the girls. But still, it's an example of why I'll probably never get married; men give, women take, men do what they're supposed to, women do what they want.

With respect to the U.S., common law marriage does not exist in every state. The following states have common law marriage:

Alabama
Colorado
Georgia (if created before 1/1/97)
Idaho (if created before 1/1/96)
Iowa
Kansas
Montana
New Hampshire (for inheritance purposes only)
Ohio (if created before 10/10/91)
Oklahoma (possibly only if created before 11/1/98. Oklahoma's laws and court decisions may be in conflict about whether common law marriages formed in that state after 11/1/98 will be recognized.)
Pennsylvania (if created before 1/1/05)
Rhode Island
South Carolina
Texas
Utah
Washington, D.C.

Wonderful eh?

He is English and live in England.

From wikipedia :

The term "common-law marriage" has been used in England and Wales since the 1960s to refer to unmarried, cohabiting heterosexual relationships.[14] However, this is merely a social usage. The term does not confer on cohabiting parties any of the rights or obligations enjoyed by spouses or civil partners. Unmarried partners are recognised for certain purposes in legislation: e.g., for means-tested benefits. For example, in the Jobseekers Act 1995, "unmarried couple" was defined as a man and woman who are not married to each other but who are living together in the same household as husband and wife other than in prescribed circumstances. But in many areas of the law cohabitants enjoy no special rights. Thus when a cohabiting relationship ends ownership of any assets will be decided by property law. The courts have no discretion to reallocate assets, as occurs on divorce.

So by 'real feminine woman' you basically mean one that's an uneducated doormat

Who cares if she's educated? That doesn't mean that she's not smart and sexy.

If she's not educated then she won't have a job, or a good one, and you'll have to support her ass.
