This type of pie is very common in the UK, it's called a Pork Pie. They taste fantastic. I always eat a few when I'm in the UK.

Pork Pie is always a treat for me when I visit England. For those who watch the video, its part of video series to 18th century cooking from Europe and Americans. It interesting to understanding the change in food overtime, especially as we discover the amount of malaise in modern nutrition and foodstuff.

Mere coincidence - nothing to see when multiple kids get cancer around the same time after a cell-phone-tower gets installed on school property.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/artic...ancer.html

Quote:Cell phone tower shut down at elementary school after eight kids are diagnosed with cancer in 'mysterious' cluster
The affected students at Weston Elementary School in Ripon are all under the age of 10
They each have different types of cancer: brain, kidney, liver and lymphoma
There is scant evidence that cell phone towers pose a real risk to humans
But even skeptics say the number of cases in this cluster is unusual
Sprint, which owns the tower, has shut it down despite insisting the radio frequency levels are 100 times below the federal limit
A private investigator for the patients' moms found the levels were higher than reported

[Image: 11866964-6886561-image-a-3_1554396391258.jpg]

I have talked with a technician and he said that the school would be relatively fine if the tower was built right on top of it, but the strongest radiation is achieved in the surrounding areas - in this case children spending lots of time in the most irratdiated area.

Sprint took the tower down, but insisted that the cancers had nothing to do with it.

Sure - it's a veritable health fountain.

RE: Forum "Lounge" - Everything goes!
^^^ Around the 20-minute mark in the video some girl in NY city says that a sugar daddy told her that he wanted a threesome and would pay $1,200 each through PayPal. So the girl decides to invite one of her friends to make easy money, they both go meet the sugar daddy at the hotel lobby. The sugar daddy doesn’t look like his picture but they still go up to the room where the sugar daddy has his way with them thoroughly. Afterwards, both of the gals are happy about it until later that day when they never receive any payment and the sugar daddy just ghosts them. When the girl gets asked why she didn’t report the guy, she says because it wasn’t rape and what they did was illegal and she would likely get zero sympathies for being fooled.

When she later reported the guy to the website she was banned from the website for accepting money for sex and violating the website's TOS. Though she does feel that it was emotional rape, so she goes public to warn other women. Then over a dozen women come forward believing that they were also duped by the same guy (a 36 years old married man), that was doxed by an article in the NYT that reported on all of this. The guy also got banned from the website but supposedly later returns probably using a VPN.

The kicker here is that the supposed sugar daddy also asked the girl to book the hotel room in a certain area of the city and would pay her back. Yup, totally normal, no red flags there! The thirst for money from these sugar babies is real, just look at the Seeking thread.

This particular girl says she got around $800 for sex, “When you get the cash it’s an exhilarating feeling, you have all this money in your hands and you just had sex for 20 minutes. So, it’s like for 20 minutes why am I not going to do this again?”. She later retrospectively admits that at some point later in life she might have to eventually tell someone she dates (e.g. possible life partner), that she had sex for money and wonders if that someone would accept that part of her life.

Looks wrecked for life!

RE: Forum "Lounge" - Everything goes!
I suppose if the husband didn't already know his wife could be a tad ruthless.
He does now...

For years, Ali and her husband had struggled to conceive - so they chose to adopt adorable twin boys. What happened next was a heartbreaking decision that will divide EVERY family

School librarian Ali Sanders (35) adopted twins after doctors said she was infertile. However, the day after she brought them to her and husband Michael's home in Staffordshire she found out she was pregnant. Ali then made the heartbreaking decision to send the two babies home. She now has a three-year-old son called Jacob (inset, left and right). The couple adopted the babies just after Christmas 2014 and Ali said her husband bonded with them straight away but that she felt like she wasn't 'getting it'. When she took the two boys to the park for the first time she said: 'When I was sitting with my beautiful buggy containing these gorgeous babies, I just wanted the process to stop. I'd never felt so lonely in my life'.

The whole 'gender pay gap' drama, never takes into account certain types of 'pussy passes' :

Disgraced cancer faker's strip club secret: How Belle Gibson spent five weeks working at a popular Melbourne gentlemen's club after being outed as a fraud

- Belle Gibson, 27, worked at Maxine's Gentlemen's Club in Melbourne in 2016
- Maxine Fenson claimed she hired her to organise an adult industry awards event
- Gibson owes $410,000 to people who donated to her 'sick fund'
- The scammer broke down in tears in court describing her 'empathetic nature'
- Tech insiders claim Gibson may have started up a digital agency in Melbourne
- Gibson was allegedly paid $75,000 to appear on 60 Minutes for an interview

Cancer con artist Belle Gibson spent five weeks working at a Melbourne gentlemen's club after she was exposed as a fraud in 2016.
The 27-year-old fronted Federal Court on Thursday after failing to pay a $410,000 fine for conning Australians into believing she beat cancer with alternative remedies and a wholefood diet she then marketed.
Gibson claimed under oath that her only source of income had come from doing odd jobs sourced from Airtasker as well as helping an elderly woman, and organising another woman's home and small business.
It was also revealed Gibson had received deposits into her account from a woman named Maxine, however, she claimed the money was for running errands.

Just found out about the Kangal dog breed.

Any of you have experience with them?

Intelligent and strong guard dogs, bred for keeping dangerous predators away from farms, that deal well with people (and especially children) and are incredibly low maintenance for their size.

They can get quite big indeed, but are still cuties in my opinion:

Here's a video with good shots and interesting stories about them (ignore the plastic wall-victim).

RE: Forum "Lounge" - Everything goes!
Last night I watched a documentary called Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.

It's about how discussion of Intelligent Design is suppressed in academia and anyone who even dares to question the darwinist dogma is blacklisted, giving a few examples of academics and journalists who lost their jobs and careers for expressing doubts about it.

It isn’t an impartial documentary: it is very clearly against Darwinism as a worldview, ridicules many of its claims and ties it to totalitarian regimes such as Nazism and Communism, as well as Eugenics, Planned Parenthood and so on. All true. It also presents guys like Dawkins and his ilk as dumb and essentially having an axe to grind against religion, and especially Christianity. Dawkins in particular gets some airtime and ends up stumbling all over himself, saying for example that maybe life on earth was intelligent designed but not by God, instead by an alien race that itself arose spontaneously... because if God exists ‘that would be unpleasant’ (his words). He has to be the dumbest smart person around.

The doc has a lot of oy vey in it but it’s still an interesting film. It highlights the lack of intellectual curiosity and cowardice from the darwinists, the cabal running academia that will prevent any dissent on this topic, how Darwinism leads directly to atheism despite some of their claims that it’s perfectly compatible with the Biblical account and what that means for society.

Regardless of your position on the matter, the doc makes it clear that it is career suicide in academia and journalism to question Darwinism and that should worry even its adherents. You only have to read the wiki entry on it to see how it goes against the zeitgeist. Any belief other than life originated from nothing for no reason and that we come from monkeys is ‘anti-science’.

Recommended.

When I looked at the topic in the past I found researchers who said that evolution is unlikely to have come around randomly. That simply means that there is credible data out there that something helped the odds along - as if a guiding force was changing the odds from quadrillion of years randomly to thousands/millions of years. At best they could then say that yes - we may have had help in the evolution process that can at this time not be explained.

Maybe there will be a new explanation in the future, but I guess it won't be a simple "throw the random dice in a universe without meaning" one.

And who knows - we may have come from pre-monkey bodies, but that does not mean that we cannot be loving and divine creatures. Dogs are also just smart animals, but they can love with purity - and so do other animals.

Most of the arguments are based on this fear that Intelligent Design theories will lead instantly to validation of "we waz created on that Saturday 4000BC". Maybe there are people who believe that, but frankly out-of-odds evolutionary process and a literal interpretation of the Bible are two highly different things.

I hope some of the guys living/working in california have adequate plans for a possible large quake there. Bad things seem to be cropping up there more often on top of the increased volcanic activity around the world and solar issues affecting the planet.

Dont be caught out.

I work in engineering and for the first time ever we had a woman who started working at us (but only for the summer) yesterday, light stuff.

I asked what she thought about the job so far from these two days and she said it's the best job she's ever had and couldn't believe how laidback everyone were at the office and often cracking jokes because at her previous jobs there were apparently too many women and it just became toxic according to her with gossip, drama and bullying.

I found it interesting since I've never really had to work with women...

No surprise - groups of women make everything toxic creating cliques and wreaking havoc.

I heard it multiple times from both girls and boys who went to all-male and all-female schools. The girls told me horror stories of all-female schools - of eternal brutal mental bullying, gossiping.
In contrast the guys who went to almost or exclusively all-male usually technical schools were having a great time. The funny part was that nerd- or outcast-bullying at male schools was not a thing, because that social pressure of female presence wasn't there. You could always find guys who would be defending everyone - even the most weird nerd, because the social hierarchy was not sex-related and not connected to impressing women. It was more like a platoon of men who spend time learning, shooting the shit and talking about the girls they intend to talk to after school.

I am a firm believer in gender seperation of schools - let's give women the hell they deserve - they will appreciate contact with men much more after their all-female social hell.

Heh, shame that didn't happen in my school. I am talking about being at the bottom of social pole, not really a nerd/geek but an simple omega male. Constant psychological and sometimes minor physical bullying. Where other guys would think about girls and entering in their first relationships, I would think about how insulted I would be next day or what not. This is one of the things that had great impact on my later life and which took years of hard work to correct and some things are even felt up to this day.
Simply didn't know what to do. If I had a knowledge to reach an outlet like RVF back then, things would be much different, but I guess, it's never too late isn't it.

Man lives after bear breaks his spine and keeps him as food inside den

The emaciated man from Russia’s remote Republic of Tuva was preserved as ‘tin-can’ food to eat later by a brown bear, say local reports in the region.

A group of local hunters found Alexander after their dogs refused to leave the area of the den.

Their persistent barking pushed the hunters to check inside the lair, where they found a barely-alive man. He was rushed to the local hospital and has been diagnosed with a broken spine and severe emaciation.

Alexander remembers his first name but not his age, and was reportedly in the den for around one month, drinking urine to survive.

He is now in the intenstive care with multiple injuries and rotting skin.

He can move his arms, local hospital doctors said.

A video shows Alexander opening his blue eyes and confirming his first name.

It is as yet unclear if he was a hunter, too, and how his encounter with the bear happened.

He managed to explain that he was attacked and dragged inside the den when he broke his spine.

The attack happened approximately a month ago, Alexander said.

‘The bear preserved me as food for later’, he explained.

A video filmed inside the local hospital shows that the man turned into a ‘speaking mummy’ with his tissues rotting after laying motionless for so long.

Local medics say they cannot explain how the man survived such injuries.

UPDATE:

The story on the bear man was reported by major Russian newspaper Izvestia and news agency EADaily.

But a spokesman at the health ministry in Tyva Republic said: 'We cannot confirm the case happened in Tuva.

'It was not registered by the Ministry of Health, the Emergencies Ministry or any other official body (in the region).

'Most probably, it happened somewhere outside Tuva.'

Speech on the background in the video appears not to be local language Tuvan.

Poor bastard, I don't know if recovery is possible, wish him a merciful death.

< People forget that nature is brutal. Even deer sometimes eat squirrels while squirrels eat mice head first.

Survival is the first rule of our world even if we can be generous and kind towards other beings at times.

It was nothing personal by the bear. Weird story - and yes - it may be a blessing for the man to pass on in peace.

I did not know about this. I just looked it up, and found a video of a deer following and eating a hatching bird while the hatching's parents try to drive the deer away.

Video is from this webpage: https://www.outdoorhub.com/stories/2013/...s-of-deer/

Nature can be brutal, but nature can also be kind:

Even wild animals like lions sometimes protect antilopes when they are fed and feeling good.
