Sorry 911, but the emergency is over.

DBG what about the sig you had between 1994 and 1996 in your AOL account.

Guy Who 'Doesn't Want Pets' Finally Gives In On His Wedding Day

[Image: AAJX2Lo.img?h=1674&w=1119&am...;amp;y=444]

Quote:Kaylee Schmidt and her fiancé Orion Metheny had spent five happy years together. There was just one big thing they disagreed on — Metheny was never sold on the idea of pets.

While he loves animals, Metheny wasn’t sure he wanted any of his own. Schmidt, on the other hand, had grown up with cats, and was dreading moving out of her family’s house when they finally got married because she’d have to leave behind her beloved family cat Nala.

Little did she know, though, that her fiancé had a plan.

“He knew I was sad to be leaving Nala,” Schmidt — now Schmidt-Metheny — told The Dodo. “I’ve talked about wanting a cat once we got married. He knew how much joy a cat would bring me, plus make the transition easier. So the wedding day seemed like a perfect opportunity.”

When Metheny found out about a tiny kitten who had been abandoned and found wandering around their neighborhood, he knew it was meant to be. He decided to adopt the tiny kitten, later named Chloe, and surprise his future wife with her on their wedding day. When he told their photographer, Megan O'Dell of Wild and Wonderful Photography, about his plan, she couldn’t have been more excited.

On the day of the wedding, October 19, O’Dell prepared the couple for their “first look” photos, where they would see each other all dressed up right before their ceremony. As Schmidt-Metheny waited, O’Dell told her that Metheny had a surprise for her.

“I have to admit that part of me was hopeful for an animal, but didn't think it would actually happen,” Schmidt-Metheny said. “Orion had seemed pretty apprehensive about getting a cat when we had talked about it in the past. Plus, while I was turned around still, I couldn’t hear any animals making noises so I thought the surprise must be something else.”

Finally, Schmidt-Metheny turned around — and couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw her fiancé holding Chloe.

“I think the first thing I said was, ‘Shut up!’ — I was totally shocked and couldn’t believe he had a kitten with him,” Schmidt-Metheny said. “Then I got emotional when it processed that this was our kitten to keep!”

Schmidt-Metheny’s face went from shock to pure joy in a matter of seconds, as she and her future husband cuddled the newest member of their family.

Schmidt-Metheny was so overjoyed to have a kitten to start their new life with, and little Chloe seemed pretty excited about her new parents as well.

“Chloe was so calm and cuddly,” Schmidt-Metheny said. “Which is so crazy to think back on now, because now she is so rambunctious and playful all the time!”

After the photos, the couple temporarily parted with Chloe so they could go and get married, but were so excited to bring her home later and start their new life with her. Chloe has since settled in wonderfully in her new home, and her parents already can’t imagine life without her.

“She’s very happy,” Schmidt-Metheny said. “Orion and I both love playing with her, and she's been a perfect addition to our little family!”

A couple of red flags -
  • He's a bitch who gave in to her
  • She never changed her last name to his
  • No mention of any kids. I fucking hate it when the media calls pet owners "parents".

That's one tortured smile right there. It's like his subconscious knows that something is terribly, terribly wrong but he's been brainwashed into thinking that all is well.

If I woke up 20 years old and a bachelor, women who own cats or want to own cats would be a deal breaker for me. I've never met one who wasn't suffering from some kind of severe emotional disorder that went far beyond simply being a woman.

I like cats. I think the hate on cats is weird. Out of all the problems with modern women, and reasons to marry or not marry a given women, cats are surely near the bottom of the list, somewhere close to the Coke/Pepsi controversy.

Having a kitten in your wedding picture is weird though. I think agreeing to a pet for your wife's sake is a reasonable thing to do. He should have just made it a normal thing, rather than making it a center piece of the wedding.

RE: Forum "Lounge" - Everything goes!
My wife loves cats, dogs, ducks, she even loves geckos. She had several pets since she was a child. When we got married she had a cat and two dogs. They stayed at her parents house, but we visit often and its heart warming her love for them and theirs for her. I like them too, and I also had pets, but I can see it's not the same. Because she is a girl.

Loving and caring for little things, and vulnerable things, lesser things - which animals are - is part of what being a woman is about. A woman who doesn't love animals is a much weirder proposition in my book. Now, the problem is that in the modern world nothing is put in its right place. Natural femininity, which includes this love and caring aspect, is suppressed on the mothering side, and on the 9 to 5, so it has to be exaggerated at home in the form of 'mothering pets'.

Don't call it a grave, it's the future you chose.

Yeauck. Cats are a purpose built machine to bring diseases and parasites from far and wide into the human home. At least with dogs they tend to be inside dogs or outside dogs and other than going for walks they're either not exposed to a variety of blood/tissue/salival afflictions or they at least stay outside in a yard where their exposure is limited as is their ability to transmit that garbage to humans.

Cats on the other hand will travel to God-knows-where, eat God-knows-what, possibly drag the last half of God-knows-what into your house before walking over every surface in the house, including your food prep areas and bathroom sink, all without you having the slightest idea it's happening.

Coming across a cat casually dragging a half meter long tapeworm out of its ass on a child's play area was enough to convince me that I would never have one in my house. People that had farm cats that never came inside weren't so bad but the hell if I'm letting a creature that makes sport of catching diseased, flea infested rats sleep on my pillow.

Quote:Cats play an important role in the spread of toxoplasmosis. They become infected by eating infected rodents, birds, or other small animals. The parasite is then passed in the cat's feces. Kittens and cats can shed millions of parasites in their feces for as long as 3 weeks after infection.

Actually I've heard a theory that toxoplasmosis, which is a disease that can alter the mind and behavior of the infected, might be the cause of homosexuality in humans, since the parasite changes the sexuality of the victim and people can actually become infected by it, and it transfers from mother to the child.

I think he had a sister who died of cancer with him as her primary caregiver sometime after the girlfriend was killed in a car wreck. Like you said, he took his misfortunes hard, and became reclusive and withdrawn, although he still managed to make a number of really big movies. I think he developed a stoic approach to life, and kind of rode in that groove for about 20 years after all the problems occurred.

I have a positive opinion of him, unlike my views of so many in Hollywood, and I hope he is happy with this woman. Maybe he will come out of his shell a little bit, and enjoy life more.

His sister's cancer went into remission.

You want to know the only thing you can assume about a broken down old man? It's that he's a survivor.

The same guys that hate on cats are the first to voluntarily take a tongue bath to the face from their dog after it’s licked its own shithole...give me a break. Cats keep themselves clean and also keep pests and rodents out. I’ll admit bias; I love dogs but I’m a cat guy at heart. I think they are intelligent, graceful, and aesthetically pleasing animals and I can see why advanced ancient civilizations such as the Egyptians treated them with such high esteem.
