I hope they stick with Asian media instead of faggot western media line Ellen or Oprah who would just as soon wish they become courageous ladyboys overcoming bigotry.

It's official: All 12 boys and their coach rescued from the cave, are safe

Excellent work men, here's to a speedy recovery and good health to all involved

No official word yet on the 3 Thai Navy Seals and an Australian doctor who stayed in the cave with the boys

We are waiting for the doctor and the Thai Navy Seals. A huge sacrifice that they made at that time when they were first found and the escape plans were still being talked about. There was talk they had to stay in there for four months. They put up their hand and said, "We're in it for the long run if the boys have to stay."

Truly heroic, brave, and selfless men

I hope these men are given special awards from their respective countries for the amazing effort put in by all

Any Commonwealth heroes involved in this should be knighted. This is the sort of thing you should be knighted for, not being a fashion icon like David Beckham (who has been chasing after a knighthood for years with a nasty narcissistic streak).

Great to hear the kids and coach are out safely. Hopefully the extraction of everyone else goes to plan as well. Hope to see their smiling faces when I tune in to the World Cup final on Sunday!

The ABC network has publicly declared that Dr Harris (the Australian doctor) would make an excellent candidate for Australian of the year

I wholeheartedly agree

Dr Richard Harris would be a very worthy nominee for Australian of the Year. Dr Harris gave up his holidays to go and aide the rescue effort.

Lots of heroes involved in this story.

But especially the two British divers who located them. They were really in the dark.
Watched a few documentaries on youtube. Just insane how far this guys are able to push it.

Cant wait for the water to clear, and a video of the actual cave to see what they had to deal with.

This, the two teams in the final should pay the flights and tickets. But I'd say the odds are pretty slim - there'll be a lot of recovery to be had from what they've gone through, they are a bunch of little kids at the end of the day.

Possibly won't be much for a while, other than actual rescue footage -

Prayuth also said the Tham Luang cave will be closed for some time. He said it needs to be made safe so it can be developed into a tourist destination.

Probably not happening

Doctors have said they want to keep the boys in hospital for at least a week, so an appearance at the final in six days is probably a bridge too far.

Update on the rescue team:

Navy Seals and doctor have left the cave

More good news, the doctor and 3 Navy SEALS who volunteered to stay with the team for the last 8 days, have also left the cave. All will be transferred to a Chiang Rai hospital for quarantine and medical checks.

Guys, could we get off Going Strong for a sec?

If he got a bit carried away with his theories (he's French, whadda ya expect?) then just ignore him, no need to shout him down. I can vouch for him in person, he's a solid guy who would take one for the team and constantly travels to Asia for both business and pleasure, which explains his interest in this thread.

If somehow he gets banned and/or stop posting it would be a damn shame, whether it was his actions that caused it or not. Nobody is perfect here and this is just a forum, we should make use of people's strength and just ignore their weaknesses.

Fuck happening with the RVF crew these days that we all become so irritable, doxxing people turning on our own and shit?

Who gives a shit about what theories Going Strong has here.

This has nothing to do with that but a petty deplorable harassment campaign that is still ongoing.

Keep doing you Going Strong, these pathetic harassers can fuck off.

This appears to have ended a lot better than I anticipated.

Better than most people anticipated. I can't wait for one of the rescuers to write a book about it. It will be fascinating to read how they put together and executed the plan. For them to have pulled of something like this seemingly without a hitch, they must have had to plan everything down to the most minute detail, and they would have had to anticipate every possible challenge. They must be fucking exhausted.

Thai Seal who died laying oxygen ^

I agree this went far better than expected - I figured they evacuated the media and put screens up so no one would see the 14 dead bodies they would be dragging out

Glad to hear everyone made it out ok. Just a question though...

How many women assisted with the rescue? How many women risked their lives for these boys?

I'm going to guess ZERO.

See, Feminists, we are useful for something.

MEN: Getting shit done since the beginning of time.

In a world of constant bitching and moaning and disillusion with everything, this for me is something special.

People working together, from all over, no-one taking sides, just everybody going all out to help.

Something special that we were lucky enough to witness in real time.

If they make the movie then I want all the fictional divers to take in submersible wheelbarrows in order to carry their Giant Balls with them.

Those balls will only be able to be squeezed through the smaller openings one at a time. They will be CGI'ed and 3D coming out of the screen.

The women were busy doing their part providing food and cooking for the brave men

Many of the local farmers who volunteered their time and efforts to the cause had their farms totally destroyed by the rains that almost claimed the kids

If anyone (Elon Musk, for example) needs places to donate resources, they should start with them

Only in the 21st century would people complain about others devoting time, energy, speedy ingenuity and resources to help rescue children and call it "attention-whoring". :sleepy:

Some of you guys are really lost when it comes to seeing the big picture.

I doubt they will be fit to attend a large public gathering in Russia. They were exposed to all sorts of shit down there and it may take time for any symptoms to show.
