12 kids trapped in Thai Cave Complex

Oh these where tai seals. I thought American seals where making the trip to help with the rescue.

All the same non the less they should be distinguished and rip to the tai seal who died. Congrats to them for being successful.

Yeah cave diving is no joke I never have a desire to do much normal diving. Maybe when I'm older I'll get into diving but unless Id be joining the military for sf I'd rather free dive,or surf than do scuba for recreational purposes. But as far as joining the military goes even being a diver in the army would be cool.
Caves collapse all the time. Anyone ever see the movie about getting that one guys dead body out of a cave and he actually died getting it out? This was world record setting depths but while we're on the topic that guy made a promise to the guys parents after seeing the body while setting a record in a cave.

Rip to him and his valiant effort to get that body for that family to. If someone wants to pullup documentary footage and names for him go ahead I'm on my phone.

Definitely an incredible feat to rescue all the players. It's always great to see an international rescue operation pulled off without any political red-tape or animosity hindering their efforts.

Adelaide anaesthetist Dr Richard Harris is mourning the death of his father, after being informed of his death shortly after the daring rescue mission wrapped up last night.

Guy gives up his holidays to go be a hero and rescue some lost kids, comes out to find out his father died

Fuck

Damn, that's rough.

But if his father was aware of what was happening, he died a damn proud and happy man.

Incredible really. Squeezing through tiny holes like that is the stuff of nightmares for me.

Heroes, the lot of them.

Some guys here owe me an apology.
I was right all along.
The boys didn't move or swim worth shit on their own.
They were heavily drugged, barely conscious, tied to the divers and dragged out.

From bbc news today:

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-44797035

Sources in the rescue operation, including divers who took part, told the BBC that the boys were heavily sedated ahead of the rescue to prevent them panicking in the dark, narrow, underwater passageways. They were then strapped to one of two rescue divers tasked with shepherding each boy through the underwater parts of the system, and bundled into stretchers to be carried through the dry parts.

There were conflicting reports in the hours after the rescue about the extent to which the boys had been medicated before they were brought out. The Thai prime minister on Tuesday denied reports that they had been sedated, saying the boys were given only light anti-anxiety medication commonly provided to soldiers. But several sources have since confirmed that the boys were only partially conscious as they were brought out.

Dark dank environment perfect for all kinds of exotic fungi and and bacteria to grow primarily in mucous membranes (eyes. sinus, lungs, etc). And theyve been in and out of there for days.

The quarantine period is just precautionary to ensure enough incubation time for any these to show up under tests, and then be treated early and prevent spreading in the event its contagious

Interesting. I was presuming that the kids and trainer quarantine was about the long time they spend without food and its health effects. But the SEALS did not stay there as much as the kids and trainer. Nontheless, its a good explanation.

Christ..

You are posting obvious shit that is all over the news like you tapped in to some secret too dark for the world.

Everyone knows they were sedated and dragged.

Starting my own little:
"I bet the divers were using oxygen tanks! No fucking way the divers hell their breath for 4 hours straight"

Divers using oxygen tanks"

Yeah, see!!

On behalf of the entire forum, I would like to apologize for these misgivings.

In fact, myself, Debdguiled, the poster formerly known as Zelcorpian, Dragan, and even the G manifesto have organised an impromptu meet up at our synagogue to pray for atonement.
