According to the all knowing Wikipedia they haven't executed someone since '07. As much as I like the idea of the death penalty to be honest, I think this kid would get it worse being passed around like a bottle of crown in a maximum security prison for the rest of his life.

I would prefer to change this to a "wine from Sonoma county". Your choice.

Wine is fine but liquor is quicker. It's a line from a Casey Donahew song.

So now he's a Muslim and believes that being so justifies his murders.

James Holmes, the gunman behind the Dark Knight massacre in Colorado last July, has reportedly turned Muslim and prays five times a day.

The killer showed off a lengthy, thick beard during a court appearance earlier this month, and a prison source has claimed it is a symbol of his new-found faith.

The source said Holmes has turned to Islam as a way of justifying his horrific murder spree in an Aurora, Colorado cinema on July 20 which left 12 people dead and 58 people wounded.

This guy is such a waste of resources. What did he think was gonna happen when he shot all those people? Get a high five? An award?

Now he is Muslim? If he was going this route maybe become Muslim before the shooting spree at least?

Next, he is gonna be a tranny.

Then it will be he is an alien from Pluto and wants to negotiate the exchange of valuable technology for his freedom.

Well, they couldn't get him off completely, but give his attorneys a gold star for image management in court.

At first he looked like this:

Now he looks like this:

They could have actually done better. If they had contacted the jail and/or the sheriff's department, they may have been able to get a suit to him in jail to wear to court. Thankfully, I don't have to deal with jail or my clients being in jail very often. I think I have had to try to get clothes to a client one time in my whole career.

Here in Maryland a year or two ago, the appeals court overturned a few convictions because the judge allowed a trial to commence when the defendant only had his jailhouse jumper. The opinion of the court was that it causes bias in the jury as it made the defendant look guilty.

Do you know the names of those cases?

I've been looking for about 30 minutes now and I can't find the cases. It happened in Charles County. I think the judge was Robert Nalley. The problem is that Nalley is now a disgraced former judge so google searches regarding him, tend to focus on his disgrace and removal rather than his overturned conviction(s).

No comment, except that I've been looking too and can't find anything. Tomorrow when I get to a computer, I should be able to find the cases.
