The thing consistent in all these assholes is they go to places where they know large groups of people will be unarmed and unable to fight back. They will be the only guy with a gun in the entire place.

Columbine? They wanted to commit suicide, and decided it'd be fun to kill a lot of people before they did. School campus. Unarmed kids.

One L. Goh in Oakland did a Richard Spec. Goes to a gun free campus. Corners a bunch of unarmed female students and shoots them at his leisure. Then drives off to brag to his check-out clerk friends about his one moment of power.

This new guy, James Holmes, knows enough about the film to know the main villan wears a gas mask. Goes to a theater full of people armed with both guns AND gas bombs to shoot unarmed innocent people out for a night of fun, many of whom are dressed like other characters from Batman. Total overkill.

His mother's in California. He's driving a car with Tennessee plates. Guy's a real drifter, probably following internet friends. And he's in a state where wildfires have been raging for weeks and there's been a heatwave that's been making everyone crazy.

Probably, but their are exceptions. Columbine shooter Eric Harris was neither of the above (unlike his partner who ticked all three boxes), he outpulled the schools football team. He did hate the girls who rejected him with a passion though, perhaps due to the extent of his narcissism. Even though I don't see it personally in photos of him girls at his school said that he was a good looking, charming and smooth guy while psychologists almost unanimously say he was a textbook narcissist and psycopath, can't help but wonder if that actually improved his game...

RIP to those people. If that incident happened in LA, where spectacular publicity stunts are very probable, I could've been fooled and been shot.

I've kept my mouth shut before about sympathizing with these frustrated killers and always felt (without any knowledge about "red pill / manosphere" stuff) that the news about them doesn't really get to the core of the problem beyond the killer being simply sexually frustrated. Problems persist till another one blows up.

Learning game doesn't solve everything. There are folks out there that have some SERIOUS personality disorders. Also, contrary to popular belief, they all aren't institutionalized or incarcerated. They just go on about their life until they pop (if they ever do). When you meet these folks, you can tell that they are "off", especially with women. They aren't the standard betas/omegas that you see in the world.

I've met folks like that in two of the universities that I attended. I met another like that a few years ago. He was a super frustrated computer guy that HATED women because the rejected him so much. The guy had zero social skills and no ability to learn them, so teaching him game wasn't going to work. I was going to just invite him on a trip to Central America with me. I figured that even if he can't pull a regular Latina there, he could have a fantastic time just banging hookers. That has got to be better than stewing in his own hatred and self-loathing.

But I didn't do it. The little voice in my head kept warning me that this guy was SERIOUSLY off. I was actually concerned about the safety of the hookers if he got too obsessed with them. I wouldn't jump to conclusions and assume that this guy went crazy due to sexual frustration. I won't even come up with theories of my own, but it's quite possible that he just has extreme psychological problems and is an insane psychopath, kind of like the guy in Norway that shot up 70 kids last year. Not everything in the world is tied to pussy and getting laid.

Most of the powerful men who get the most puzzy worldwide, actually pay for lizards, non? I think it's a combo of things (a liberal gun culture being the biggest factor and sexually frustrated cats. Again, maybe Neil can chime in on this, how many Dutch cats go around murking hordes of people?

It's difficult to compare the USA with European countries because there's so many differences in not only culture but also demographics.

I think a giant factor is gun availability (and a culture that rewards the 'bad' and punishes the 'good'). No guns means less options. When they're as common as spoons and forks it's a smaller step to grab one and empty it when you're angry and not very emotionally stable.
