2020 Presidential Betting Thread

Alright guys, I did it - I know I might be just burning money at this point but took a chance at 7.6 : 1 odds and threw in a little more, less than 10% of my total stakes so won't make a big difference if lost, but high upside.

Saw the payout for trump increased to x6 so decided to throw in an extra 10% of what i already put down, like you. But it didn't allow me to do more than 6%. The odds/payout is becoming too high so they capped it.

Were you able to figure out what the rules are on the payouts in the chance of a contested / supreme court election decision? I have no clue as there is no precedent for the scam that has taken place here.

If it were a sporting event and the sportsbook had any scruples, they would cancel out the wager & refund your initial stake. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

I just sent an email to my betting website (CloudBet) saying that some States will take a week or more to give result and POTUS is asking for a recount and suing States so the result might come only in December or January. I asked if it was possible to cancel the bet but I doubt they will concede.

In the case of CloudBet, once you deposit, you have to BET 100% of the funds before withdrawing them.

Thinking about dropping 5k on Predictit. I see shares for Trump are at 15 cents. I doubt they will get any lower and Trump still has a shot at winning.

Even after making your deposit-- you won't be able to pick up any shares. I just tried again, and it says they've already reached the maximum number of traders on that contract. But, there's still a few eligible ones under the Presidential Election category. ("which party will win specific states?", etc.)

I'm kicking myself for not paying the $5 for the Barnes private group, he claims he did advise last night to lock in the winnings when Biden was legitimately losing (before the fix was in). Could've re-entered again this afternoon with 7:1 odds with half the initial wager and possibly still won more money if Trump somehow will fight and win. Oh well, lesson on being penny wise pound foolish here.

I'm calling it!

This week: Biden wins by election fraud

1+ weeks: Trump goes to court, votes show Trump won by a landslide. Major election fraud.

1+ weeks: Media lies and says Biden one. Riots, Trump impeachment.... etc...

2021 Sportsbet (Australia): Going to court to get my winnings.

ME TODAY: I'm done with this fucking corrupted election!

I ended up selling most of my bets on the way down at a loss after I saw the way the wind was blowing once WI flipped with the 4 AM absentee ballot dump. I regret not hedging better and taking profits when Trump was the favorite, and honestly the fact that all the states where Trump was up stopped counting ballots was a huge red flag that some shenanigans were about to ensue.

At this point I do think if you want to throw a punt on Trump that it's not a bad bet now because the returns would be pretty insane. I doubt any bookie or prediction market resolves the bet and pays out in full for awhile though. Personally I'm just holding a small portion of my bets now, but even if he wins my profits would only be 25% of what they were had I held. I care more about the future of this country than I do my money though. Pray for America and don't bet more than you are willing to lose at this point.

My fear is these books settle based off fake news from the MSM. If through all the games I am still a loser on my bests, so be it, but I want to go down on a definitive official decision and not some fluff from CNN and the BBC that have no jurisdiction to officially certify n election result. I have been trying to get my betting platform to confirm they won't settle based on unofficial results.
