Why would a guy who, through his local PACs spends more money donating to local elections in major cities than anyone on the planet feel the need to weigh in unless it was for his agenda....?

So what is your take then... I'm not sure I get the same thing you're getting from it. Please break it down for me.

To me the signal is that he's preferring Desantis over Trump by bringing attention to his shrewdness. When in reality there's no reason to think Meatball Ron will last 2 seconds on a debate stage with Trump.

DeSantis only splits the Republicans up as 2/3 of Trump base isn't gonna vote for anyone other than Trump regardless of party if he runs.

Calling someone ruthless is rarely a compliment, but maybe it is for a guy like Soros? I don't know about any potential debate outcomes, but I do know what Trump will do if he wins; drink diet coke all day, play golf, let someone else write his "shocking" social media posts...and then it will end in tragedy with a much more radical democrat President and probably some "crisis" with following measures worse than even covid at some stage during this process.

I'll take golfing and general isolationist policies over a neocon shill like DeSantis...

I think you’re overestimating Trump’s base. Why would the trumps voters not vote for Desantis is he wins the nomination?

In case we have anyone with a voice or access to Republican strategists here (and I suspect we do have some lurkers because there’s been a few times Myself or another poster said something here first and it showed up with Republican shills a week later..)

Doing so looks like it will drive trans people and their strong “Allies” out of your state and if you do it now they’ll be gone by the time November 2024 rolls around. It’s not the largest voting block but if it causes the Democrats to lose even 5-10% of their most enthusiastic voting block (which is Trans idealogues for the foreseeable future) it makes victory dramatically easier.

Trump is not gonna start a revolution in one term. He had a much, much better chance in 2016-18 and failed. So we have to think ahead of course. This next term might be the last of the boomer presidents. Better to set things up for a stronger and young republican in -28, rather than setting things up for Kamala etc.

They are all talk. They are professional victims, if anything, they secretly relish the opportunity to be the meek, intellectual liberals being repressed by those evil white male conservatives. In a red state, they can proclaim virtue by merely being a woke libtard in general. In a place like California, they are in constant threat of being eaten by their own if they don’t stay on top of this week’s dogma, which contradicts last week’s dogma.

A good portion of them will be all talk. That said, the being "eaten by their own" thing doesn't matter. The social circles they live in are a combination of tightly isolated (things like D&D groups and "creative spaces" that are heavily gatekept against wrongthink) or entirely online.
