RE: Virginia's 2017 election (including alt-right candidate Corey Stewart)

Just caught this interview about Charlottesville...Corey Stewart owns this chick.

He's good. He never plays into her premise.

A real master-debater.

She sounds like my uber Christian conservative parents, in her blinding belief of Good vs Evil without any regard to nuance and context.

The LEFT has become the puritanical church lady, only instead of instituting laws within Churches, they're instituting laws at _________ (work, school, ubers, bars, colleges, State capitals, Federal mandates, SCOTUS, etc, etc).

Wow, that CNN chick is such a rude, deceptive cunt. He hung in there and really got under her skin. If I lived in his state, he'd get my vote!

Pay special attention to her massive Al Gore sigh at 7:55 in the video. He really triggered her! :D

Fairfax County, a suburb of DC which is about 60% Democratic, had a special school board election this past week because one of the members (who was moderately conservative) moved away. The Democratic candidate won with 41,000 votes to the Republican candidate's 21,000 votes.

It was a non-partisan race but each candidate had been publicly endorsed by the political parties. The Democratic candidate had said in the opening paragraph on her website that one of her aims was to "stop Trump and DeVose" policies on schools. Reportedly, the Democratic party threw $60 grand into the race vs $25K that the Republicans put in. So, I think it's an example of the Democrats trying to gain seats at the local level in key states like Virginia.

Only 10% of registered voters came out. So, the Republicans could have won if they had just gotten more people to the polling places.

Even if more Republicans had come out, they could have been easily matched by a better funded Democrat candidate.

DC suburbs are a lost cause, and in time when the Dems are energized to "resist" Trump they will have even higher turnouts. Better just to abandon ship in these areas and let them disintegrate under their own horrible policies.

From what I understand, Northam's internal polling was showing that he was getting killed on the immigration topic with moderates and independents, with Gillespie running ads saying that Northam's support for sanctuary cities is helping MS-13. So, yesterday or two days ago, Northam publicly announced that he doesn't support sanctuary cities.

Of course, this made much of his base, namely the open-borders globalists and immigration activists, furious. Also, it has made Democrats in general nervous, because if their candidates nationwide are now forced to disavow sanctuary city policies in order to remain competitive in their races, it undermines the Democrat's platform of giving illegal immigrants a break or supporting immigration in general.

P.S. NRA endorses Ed Gillespie (Gov), Jill Vogel (Lt. Gov), John Adams (AG).

Peak insanity. Gillespie is a moderate republican - being against sanctuary cities is white nationalism to them these days.

Remember when Trump won, they apologized to Bush and Romney, calling them decent human beings?

They haven't learned. Every republican is still literally hitler.

“What time will they call the election?"

If Northam (Dem) leads by 20 votes or more with 12% or more of the precincts in, they'll call it as soon as the polls close.

If, with 99% of the precincts reporting, and Gillespie (Rep) has a 75,000 or more vote lead, they might call it then. Maybe.
