What i dont think you guys realize is that the TIME person of the year is not necessarily someone with a positive influence, its somebody who changed the world for better or worse. Hitler won person of the year, and im pretty sure at no point he was considered a positive influence.

With that being said, she still could have been picked for her "hospitality of refugees and welcoming them in the face of terror".

Hitler pulled Germany out of the great depression and in his first year decreased unemployment from 10million people to 4 million people, introduced working standards across Germany and was so good at what he did that the Austrians were practically begging him to annex them.

He was a hero to Europe... Pre-holocaust of course.
