Hard to describe beyond a recognition that it was God’s will for my life and hers. I also realized that there’s a ceiling to how far I could go with God just being an unmarried and un-tonsured bachelor. If you want to be like Christ, you need someone to “die to self” for. That’s what He did for us and what we are subsequently called to do for others. She’s the person I chose to engage in the martyrdom of marriage with and truth be told, I was already such a hermit that I knew marriage would be a bigger sacrifice for me than monasticism. I like to choose the harder path in life when it comes to big decisions like this!</p></blockquote><p></p>
