Any of you guys work Remote?

Right now, I'm an independent contractor and travel around for work. It's great money so can't complain at all. I never will go back to corporate america. Once I'm done traveling I'm just going to work remote. No desire doing a 9-5 everyday for one employer for a year.
Amazing. What field are you in?
A good place to start is books. Some of the books I’ve read:
•All Marketers Are Liars - Seth Godin
•Social Media Marketing - Gerry T. Warner
•Ca$hvertising - Drew Eric Whitman
Thank you.

WSP is an excellent resource for content on this topic and others similar.
Thanks. again. WSP is a good resource.
Any thoughts on the field of selling insurance and then moving to financial advisor with a big company like Mass Mutual or New York Life? It's only commission, so it may take months to get rolling, but I understand from employees that they train you and help you devise a marketing plan, etc.

What's wrong with enterprise software sales? Get a salary + learn on the job.

I run my digital marketing / SEO services and am 100% remote. Can give you any tips if you want.
Hey Pavel, have you looked into setting up your operation in Puerto Rico to take advantage of the crazy low corporate tax rates? Act 80 to be specific. I've looked into it a little bit but Simon Black of Sovereign Man does a great job breaking it down.

How to acquire clients? I can do SEO/digital marketing with much issue but have always done it for my own businesses. I figured it might be hard to gain clients without testimonials/case studies from existing ones?

Most of our clients come from "friends of friends". I used to do attend marketing events for small businesses (obviously before lockdown) and this was the main place I could get clients.

Counterparty credit at a regional bank is great for a fully remote role. Especially if you can find a risk role that housed in the production team, you can basically be paid a front office wage with a middle office type work/life balance.

If you have a particular expertise at that you are near the top of your peers in skills, a Consulting company is excellent opportunity for remote work and also get some occasional paid travel as well for face to face discussions. But most of your work, whether it’s meetings or administrative tasks can be done remotely.

Does any have any recommended "no/minimal skills required" type of side-hussles that can be done remotely on your personal laptop, where you can set your own hrs/flexible hrs that you control over?

Are most of you linked to/live in no income tax states? Obviously, this is the best way, but I don't see enforcement being easy for anyone even if it were questionable (the source would literally have to be a location that was different, not the payer of the contractor). Even though tax grabbing presumably will get up there, it seems mostly the Feds will be the main culprit, as they are aware already of most (who've filed) in the system. I think this is another reason why so many people are exiting the corporate type job - all of its headaches also include getting advance payments on their claim, and then asking them for it back.

Any worthwhile online venture with upside is gonna require a skill and ability to solve a problem.

But there’s a number of options where a skill/service can be learned relatively quickly.

I've been working remotely since 2020.

Something this has allowed me to take advantage of is to hold more than one job simultaneously and collect 2 paychecks. Check out the Overemployed.com, there's an online community of people who are doing the same and trade tips on how to juggle multipole remote jobs. During this time I also have been able to create a brick and mortar business that I have owned for the past 2+ years. When I first started that business I was only working one remote job but after my employees became experienced enough I was able to step back a lot more which is when I started to look for the second remote job I have now.
