Better to die standing than to live kneeling!
Austria is centrally controlled from Vienna. The Viennese political class and social elite do not care about what happens to their country, as long as they get paid. Note that Austria had no trouble joining the Third Reich, as long as it benefitted them.Any Austrians / Austrian residents following this thread? This turn of events has really ruined what I used to like to believe about Austria, that it was more sovereign in Europe, a bit like Switzerland. Is Austria a "vassal" of Germany? Why is the leadership there so unstable - HC Strache was so popular then a scandal, then the youngest European head of state who was so popular at one point, suddenly also gone in a scandal. I listened to this -

..it is a catholic Austrian citizen on the topic. He feels the politicians are more corrupt than elsewhere. Not sure what to think, but can say Der Standard for example seems as unreadable as Die Welt most of the time.
You can’t lose a microchip imbedded under your skin... if that is indeed the end game then your scenario is part of the play.
I've been saying it, it's getting Biblical and it's moving faster than we can anticipate... this could suddenly be in place like everywhere. The first banking house in Austria wants to make microchip implants palatable to customers.
MICRO-CHIP IMPLANTS AS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR DIGITALIZATION
Man and machine are forming an ever closer bond. While the smartphone is already an indispensable everyday aid, more and more gadgets, from digital assistants to smart speakers, are making it easier for us to manage time-consuming routines. Banking is also undergoing a digital transformation. While some services will never be able to do without personal contact, others make banking transactions easier to handle. It's all in the mix! Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich employee Roland Hechenberger agrees. The corporate customer advisor is convinced that digitalization can make business life easier. To this end, he is also open to trying out innovations on himself. Like a personal digital upgrade, for example. In the world of Dr. Patrick Kramer, the world's most influential thought leader in digital and biological transformation, that means micro-chip implants that enhance people's capabilities.
VISION BECOMES REALITY
The size of a grain of rice, the tiny antennae stand out under the skin, and in 2019, this will already be the case in more than 50,000 people across Europe. So the initial utopia has long since mutated into the mainstream, especially since Dr. Kramer's end customers are primarily families who would like to use it to facilitate keyless entry into their own homes, or to have their personal data stored on their own bodies. Technology can therefore be practical, especially when it no longer needs to be recharged, as is the case with the small implants.
Gestapo at its best

VIENNA — In the run-up to Austria’s sweeping COVID shot mandate, due to be implemented in February and affecting an estimated 2 million citizens, the government is preparing to harshly police the requirement by enlisting employers to enforce crippling fines on the un-jabbed.
From February 1, Austrian citizens will be required by law to have received a full regimen of COVID-19 shots or face being added to a registry for the un-jabbed, members of which will be subject to hefty fines of up to €3,400 ($4,000), issued every three months, Health Minister Wolfgang Mückstein confirmed.
Such an inspector will make $44k per year to denounce on others, paid by the tax payers, how nice.
We in the UK have been lucky in this sence. we are still at ease. cant help but think how many people in the world are on the knife edge.I am keen to know if this is yet more Germanic autism going for a third shot at the world title or will English people get this as well.
If France, Aus, NZ and Canada do it then I will be extremely interested when and how the British government does it. The Anglo disease is strong but Germans are just another level.
