What happened before the camera started rolling?

Listen to the voices and reactions of the person(s) filming.
For starters, the black guy's eye gaze seems to shift focus between the actual camera and another specific individual (or small group) to the right of the camera view (out of our sight); his words do not appear directed at the randon people walking by him on the crosswalk.

Possible scenarios:
1) Black guy randomly started shouting for no provoked reason.
2) This was a set up. Black guy was harassed/slurred first (or even had something thrown at him?); stopped to (foolishly) confront the individual(s). While distracted, another punk-Asian player in the set up comes from behind and sucker-punches the black dude.

The editing work of the limited camera footage tells me something very relevant has been deliberately not included.

Its because they keep delegating the monopoly of violence to the State. If that is the case then its imperative to maintain control of the State because otherwise they might as well be unarmed. And they haven't maintained power thereby making themselves vulnerable.

And the Second Amendment is one way that the Monopoly on Violence isn't absolute to just the Civil Authorities.

Thanks for the additional information. I can only go by what is presented to me; there may be more to the story, as stated in my OP. Regardless, an 'eyebrow is still raised' at the extreme editing job of this particular video.

One thing I've noticed is that ALL 'sides' of these different political and social wars seem to have developed a nasty habit of posting half-truths (or outright fabrications) to further their cause. Such foolishness just gives any 'other side' cannon fodder to instantly dismiss valid counter-points.

Agreed the commitment to the whole truth is only possible for those who genuinely care about righteousness. Those who are actually saved are more likely to care about that.

Frankly this is why East Asians who are overwhelmingly comfortable in authoritarian cultures largely do not belong in ours. Voluntary and incentivized repatriation would be best for most of them.

We cannot move forward as a culture with large numbers of them here.
