This is already being implemented in China! The people get negative scores for being non-PC or even associating with non-PC people online or real life!
You can already see this in the United States with Yelp and seasoned Yelpers getting discounts, etc. at restaurants for positive, weighted reviews. I appreciated the nuance of this episode in the fact that not all 5-stars are equal, e.g. a 5-star from someone of lower standing doesn't carry the safe effect as a 5-star from one with a higher standing. Pretty much quantifying years of clique social conditioning.
Lots of nuanced humor in that first episode, too - the airport security, the sad 'bloop' of the outdated rental car, etc.
