I used to love the company, excellent craftmanship of art, good stories, and really cool movies. However ever since WOW I could care less about blizzard. I'm still waiting for Warcraft 4, RTS. RTS is real time strategies, which aren't as popular as MMORPG style games now.

The blizzard guy said something about gamergate too which made him anti-harassment but was vague on who was harassing.

RTS are the pinnacle of gaming in my opinion. They are like moving chess. You need strategy, patience, intelligence and planning. They embody every masculine virtue and can provide real time demonstrations of things like the OODA loop and warfare strategies.

That's why they'll never be popular again. People want to point and shoot, and 'critics' want something that is suitable for everyone with a room temperature IQ.

RTS are elitist. That's why they're awesome.

Mission Objective A: Eat a birthday cake naked on the toilet.
Mission Objective B: Regale the masses with stories about fingerbanging your sister when you were a child.
Mission Objective C: Bask in the light of being the self-proclaimed 'voice of a generation'.

No they won't be happy. The game is still developed, published, marketed and sold by men. And then it won't be bought by men and be a flop.

Saw the trailer and I thought that something was off in the Game. Now it is clear as they try to appease the SJW's dream come true - intergalactic races and lots of strong empowered women. But still the makers know that young men will be 97% of their market, so they put 2 young boys into the beginning trailer.

I predict that this SJW semi-dream game will fail.

And what the Feminazis want: All strong characters shall be women - fat, old and ugly, because anything less is age-shaming, fat-shaming and ugly-shaming - all women are beautiful. Also all good-looking strong men shall be the Negative characters and all positive men fat, weakly or best non-human - Gorillas are fine. Maybe then they will be satisfied, but probably not.

Agree, but I'd slightly amend:

They'll want some super fit men in there. Many fat whales love super fit guys. The fat men will be there for their amusement. The most positive will be thin, weak effeminate men.

Either way, I have a novel concept, why don't all these supposed female developers who are supposedly shut out start their own company and develop female oriented games?

That's too much like hard work and effort. It's way easier to just pester other companies to do the work for them.

Blizzards style has always been to steal the best elements of other games, and combine them all in one.

WoW took a lot from Everquest. Warcraft borrowed heavily from command & conquer. Diablo owes a lot to D&D.

Overwatch looks like it borrows from Team Fortress, fighting games, and the animation style of Dreamworks.

Even the characters are borrowed from various sci-fi and comic book tropes. The Gorilla is part Beast from the X-men, and part DC's talking ape villain.

The cinematic trailer made me think it was pretty cool, but not that original.

The "controversy" around their female characters is just nonsense. A realistic fighting game with women ends with raping the enemy prisoners. No one wants to see that.

Could me fun. Not sure if I've got the time to take up a new game, but I dig Blizzards stuff.

Regardless of the social issues, which are pointless for video games, I must say the gameplay trailer seems to have promise.

Definitely rips off Team Fortress 2 type gameplay, but also adds typical Blizzard simplicity and innovation. Could be a really great game guys.

Blizzard is currently the Nintendo of the gaming world right now - they haven't made a truly bad game in over a decade. Let's see if this new game lives up to the company's reputation, or if the gameplay suffers in favor of political correctness.

RE: Blizzard's New Game Includes Strong Female Characters

At some point, video games became all about "story" and not about gameplay. It's 90 minutes of cutscenes. That's when I went into my attic, dusted off my Sega Dreamcast, and popped in one of these:

Even feminists assume you need useful idiots men for work to get done. Who are the misogynists again?

I went to check out the game on /v/ to see what's what. Fanart (porn) has already been made.
The Brit Tomboy character is probably who Kotaku and such like. So there being lots of sexy images of her must be disheartening. However I found that she looked like a little boy in a lot of those images so she's probably still safe in their eyes.

But that evil spider lady I think represents a huge leap forward

That's besides the point. You can not please radfems or SJWs.

Give an inch and they want a mile. Give a mile and they want the world.

They'll find something to complain about.

I've watched the trailer and I have yet to figure out what makes these women strong and independent. Their ability to hit the gym all day to keep those hourglass shapes?

Sounds like lip service by the developer. Smart marketing.

Looks like a kids game art wise and story wise. Then the gameplay looks like a Team Fortress rip off mixed with Halo. I think I will pass on this one, despite having played every Blizz game except Hearthstone.

For these last 2 Blizzard releases, I have passed on them. It seems clear to me that Blizz is going into new directions. That's fine I will just play Assassins Creed, Farcry, GTA5 and any other red/purple pill-ish games until a new Half-life and Counterstrike come out. Makes me no difference at all.

I think Dragon Age Inquisition has this game trumped on many levels.

Gay romances for both male and female characters. None of the romances for the male character are attractive. One of them is scarred and has short hair. They also included a transgender NPC, just because. It looks like a really good game soiled by SJW propaganda.

The first one was like that, nothing changed. Just a single player RPG game with freaky humor and sexual innuendo. At least you get to choose what kinds of sexual twists you want.

The first one didn't have any transgender NPC's and the female companions were at least attractive.

Damn, I loved the original dragon age and now I look at the romance options for the newest one and SON I AM DISAPPOINT. So only TWO (1 with scar+shorthair) romance options for straight guys? WTF...

I'm still getting the game and probably gonna play the hell out of it, but things like these make me hate how feminism is affecting gaming.
